Harry Potter
In May 2000, the Warner Bros film studio began an open casting for the three title roles in the film adaptation of J. K. Rowling's book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
Only candidates from British children aged 9 to 11 were considered for the selection. First, everyone who wanted to be part of the film’s crew was forced to read a page from the book out loud, and then to improvise the students’ arrival at the School of Magic. Next, the young British read several pages from the script to the commission.
Young celebrity
Rupert Grint was a fan of the Harry Potter books. And he thought he looked like Ron. The actor, like the movie character, loved sweets, had a large family and wore red hair. As soon as 11-year-old Rupert found out about the casting, he set himself the goal of passing it. For the selection, Grint, in the guise of a theater teacher, learned a rap song of his own composition and came up with an explanation for why he wants to be Ron Weasley. As a result, out of hundreds of applicants, he was chosen.
At first, the vacant position of director of the film was offered to the incomparable Steven Spielberg. But after several months of negotiations, the director abandoned the work. The place was taken by Chris Columbus.
They presented the children's science fiction film "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" in November 2001. Rupert Greene's debut immediately made the young actor popular throughout the planet. Together with him, 11-year-old Emma Watson and 12-year-old Daniel Radcliffe soared to the top of fame. The adult roles were played by British actors Maggie Smith, John Cleese, Alan Rickman.
Intimate moments
The sensational film was about the boy wizard Harry and his friends. Against the wishes of his evil relatives, he went to Hogwarts School of Wizardry. His friends were: a boy from a poor family, Ron, who carried his “girlfriend” Scabbers with him everywhere, and a girl named Hermione.
The film grossed nearly $980 million worldwide. And it became the second highest-grossing film on the planet after Titanic.
Rupert Grint had absolutely no idea how to behave on set. However, after completing the work, he became a professional with a capital P.
Viewers saw the second part of the adventure film “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” in 2002. There Rupert played Ron Weasley, already a year older. This time, Rupert's character was saving his friend Harry. Most of the actors, by the way, transferred from the previous film.

The boy did not need any special advertising; different directors already vying with each other invited him to appear in their films. In 2002, the film “Thunder in Pants” appeared, in which the young but already famous Rupert played a brilliant boy.
In 2004, the third part of the adventure film “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” was released. The director has changed, but the cast remains the same. True, the role of Albus Dumbledore was played by actor Michael Gambon instead of the deceased Richard Harris. The picture told about the third school year and the adventures of Harry Potter and his friends. This episode revealed many interesting details from Harry's life.

In this episode, three friends arrived at Hogwarts and learned that the school would be holding a three-wizard tournament in which the best magician would be chosen.
A year later, Rupert Green played in the drama Driving Lessons directed by Jeremy Brock and brilliantly portrayed the relationship of a boy from a noble family with an elderly actress who tricked the hero into going on a picnic. The actor played in the company of Laura Leaney and Julia Walters.
In 2007, Ron Weasley appeared again in the fifth Harry Potter adventure film. The heroes of the film “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” were waiting for the end of the summer holidays and the beginning of the last, fifth school year.
And two years later, the role in the acclaimed film “Cherry Bomb” by Glen Leyburn and Lisa Barross D'Sa became noticeable in the biography of Rupert Grint. This is a film about a love triangle between a girl and two friends. The actors surprisingly vividly recreated the picture of drug use, drinking alcohol, shoplifting and car theft. This greatly outraged viewers and critics. For the second time in his life, Rupert played a love scene in front of the camera in this film.
The sixth film in the Harry Potter series of stories had the prefix “Half-Blood Prince.” Rupert, in the company of Daniel Radcliffe, played Ron Weasley superbly and showed life in a wizarding school. In this film, the war continued again, from which the world of wizards and the world of magicians suffered.
On the red carpet The film adaptation of the seventh final book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” came out next. The main roles in them were still played by already beloved actors.
