– I had a difficult situation, I was in a group, but at the same time I worked as a teacher at school. What can I say... Some parents of children did not treat my creativity very well. Because children saw our videos on YouTube and so on. In the end, I realized that I had to leave the group; I couldn’t juggle.

– Touring life probably also interfered with your main work at school?

– I went on tour with the guys a couple of times, but mostly we performed in St. Petersburg

– As far as I know, “Little Big” got its name thanks to you?

– Alina Pyazok, who shoots videos for “Little Big”, is an old good friend of mine. When she graduated from the university, she wrote her thesis based on me. After some time, Alina suddenly called me: “Anh, would you like me to introduce you to Ilya Prusikin, I have an idea.” I agreed, we met. Ilya seemed to me an interesting person, and I knew Olympia (the second soloist) from the “Little People” community. There are a lot of little people around me (smiles). Then I invited her to participate in the group, Olympia agreed. From that moment on, everything went and went. And the name arose somehow spontaneously.

– How long did you stay in the group?

– I joined in 2013, and left the group in 2020. For Russia, our group became a breakthrough, we had a powerful semantic idea for the clips. It was not just like that, our works had deep content. The song and video “Every day drinking” - every day we drink - were made in a foreign manner. But we also have Russian folk art: a little ridiculed, but sincere. All this reflected Russian reality.

-– Did you regret leaving the group?

– I didn’t regret it, because the style of the group has changed, but even now I still like the group. And I left at the peak of popularity.

– The group’s popularity is at its peak now, isn’t it?

– A few years ago there were a million views per day - a real record! We shot the video in 24 hours and immediately received more than a million views! It was a blast!

– The rest of the group members were also extraordinary people. What did they do?

– Ilya was engaged in blogging. He is a very talented guy, it was he who had the ideas on topical topics for videos that affected the whole world. We picked everything up, every event was reflected in our projects. The social reference was always there.

– How is your career today?

– I have my own tattoo parlor, but because of what’s going on in the country now, I’m having problems with clients. I also act in feature films and play in theaters in Germany and Holland.

– What about working as a teacher? Have you abandoned your teaching career?

– Then I worked as a teacher at school, and at night I worked as an animator in clubs, like Olympia. I had to live on something! Eat something. Now everything is different.

– How did the children react to you, as they say, “live”?

– The children at school saw and read about me, by the way, this really helped to establish contact with the new child. I remember they even brought me newspaper clippings: “Anya, look, they wrote about you!” When a new person arrived, at first he had a rejection of me as a teacher, after all, my appearance... And then somewhere he would see me in the media space, read about me. That's all! Attitudes are changing! I became an authority for him (laughs). And I just treated it, and I still do.

“It’s still a daring step to work with schoolchildren, who have an unusual appearance; they can be childishly cruel...

– People like me are often shy and hide, unfortunately. I came to the team partly because it was “about such people.” I wanted to show that our “unusuality” is not a hindrance, not a reason to sit within four walls. I worked as an on-duty teacher, I left this field a long time ago, but I still have good relations with former students and their parents.

– Did many parents complain about you when you worked in the group?

- Two parents. The others were pleased with my work. I took the children seriously and was more drawn to my work than to the group. “Little Big” was just an additional hobby, they shot a video - cool! They performed somewhere - also great! I repeat, our lyrics always had meaning, before the zest was different, but now they have something new.

– The “highlight” has become a little crazy today.

– We were thinking about censorship in cliques! So that everything is within limits! No vulgarity! I was sometimes judged by other people like me... They said that I was a buffoon. These are the kind of women who have children (laughs). Well what can I say?! They are apparently not creative.

– How do you feel about Sofya Tayurskaya?

“She is a talented girl, with a wonderful voice, who brought a lot of new things to the group. I still like Little Big's work. I am for the idea, for any creative activity.
