Ksenia Shoigu: we are planning to hold the Race of Heroes in Kazan. Children
"Race of heroes. Children" is planned to be held next year in Kazan.
As Ksenia Shoigu, project manager of the “League of Heroes” and the First All-Russian Half Marathon “ZaBeg.RF”, noted at the presentation of the “Running Capital” Cup, negotiations on this with the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of Tatarstan Vladimir Leonov were successful.
It all started small: simple obstacles, acquaintances and friends as participants, a small platform. Most of the obstacles were wooden structures - later they would all grow into our famous tests: “Armwalks”, “Olympus”, “Born Again” and so on. But then this was only the beginning of the “Race of Heroes”.
Sports projects
In 2013, together with a team of like-minded people, Ksenia Shoigu organized a sporting event in an unusual format - the first obstacle course race "Race of Heroes", which gave impetus to the development of a new sports movement in Russia - OCR (obstacle course races - obstacle course racing).

Ksenia Shoigu in the Race of Heroes
In 2020, Ksenia Shoigu and her team held the winter “Race of Heroes”. In 2018 and 2019, Ksenia brought her to Germany. The winter obstacle race, called Winterhell, took place at the famous Nürburgring race track. Mostly Europeans took part in it. In 2020, the “Race of Heroes” took place in Azerbaijan under the name Mubarizler.
The rapid growth of the project’s popularity led to the creation of an autonomous non-profit organization “Race of Heroes”. Today, under the common brand “League of Heroes,” Ksenia’s team annually holds dozens of mass sporting events at the federal and international level.
While doing sports projects, Ksenia noticed the growing interest in running events. In 2020, under her leadership, the ZaBeg half marathon took place, the first with a synchronized start. Runners started simultaneously in 10 Russian cities. If Moscow started at 10 am, then Vladivostok - at 5 pm. The following year, 2018, the number of ZaBeg cities increased to 17. Ksenia ensured that ZaBeg 2020 will be held in all 85 regions of the country and will become the largest half marathon in the world. Ksenia Shoigu personally takes part in the events that she organizes.
"Not a relative"?
The response from Shoigu’s representatives came only on November 3, and a statement was made by the head of the public relations department of the organizing committee of the “Race of Heroes” sports event, Igor Yurtaev.
“The information is not true,” Yurtaev wrote to RBC.
He did not comment on whether the current owner of the property, Elena Antipina, is Ksenia Shoigu’s maternal aunt.
