In 2000, Yura became seriously interested in breakdancing, and in the future the young man benefited from the success he achieved in this matter. It is noteworthy that he studied at the local club “Search”, that is, “Quest” in English. After graduating from school, not wanting to follow the beaten path: to the army, then to the factory, Yuri decided to move from a provincial town to Kyiv. In order not to be left without bread, Yura danced on the Maidan, where he earned about 30 hryvnia per performance - good money for those times.
Yuri Bardash before he became famous
As the producer admitted in one of his interviews, his fate was largely decided by a chance acquaintance with the frontman of the dance group “Force” Nikita “Bumper” Goryuk, the future lead singer of the group “Quest Pistols”. Ballet “Quest” A year after the move, he became responsible for the cast for the musical “Equator”. Around the same time, he met Konstantin Borovsky, a dancer with the Antishock group. With this composition, the team presented the “Chance” program, which gained popularity throughout Ukraine.
Biography[ | ]
Quest: the beginning of a dance career[ | ]
Yuri Bardash was born and raised in the city of Alchevsk[1], where around 2000 he began to breakdance at the local club “Search” (hence the symbolic English name Quest
future ballet).[3][4]
After graduating from college (with a degree in turner), he moved to Kyiv in August 2002. To support himself, he first did breakdancing on Khreshchatyk, and then danced in various ballets. Subsequently, he was invited to the musical “Equator”, for which he recruited a team of four more break dancers. At the same time, Yuri Bardash began to engage in performance production and management: he was looking for other ways to earn money for his team.[1][3]
When Bardash was not yet considered a good dancer, he had already recruited a class of 20 girls whom he began to teach dancing. Teaching others accelerated his own development and at the same time brought some profit.[1] In 2005, Yuri Bardash performed a dance solo for the video “Discomalaria” by the Belarusian rapper Seryoga.[5]
Quest Pistols: the first musical group[ | ]
After the cancellation of the musical “Equator”, Yuri Bardash, as part of his own ballet “Quest”, already worked with dancers Nikita Goryuk, whom he met after moving to Kyiv, and Konstantin Borovsky. They were subsequently joined by Anton Savlepov. It was this trio of dancers who became the initial lineup of the musical group “Quest Pistols” in 2007.[6]
According to Bardash’s recollections, the idea arose when these three participants were involved in the ballet’s next photo shoot, and at a rehearsal he heard the music of the group Shocking Blue.[4] At the same time, he was introduced to frontman Alexander Chemerov, to whom Bardash invited him to take part in the creation of a musical project. Chemerov then began writing lyrics and music for the group, taking (as part of this collaboration) the pseudonym “ Isolda Chetha”
"[6][3][4] The group gained instant popularity in Ukraine with their first hit “I’m tired” (a cover of the song “Long and Lonesome Road” by Shocking Blue[4]), and after a couple of years they gradually began to move to Russia.[7]
In 2008-2009, Yuri Bardash was the producer of the reality show “Love and Music” on the TV channel, within which a girl’s musical group of the same name was created.[8][9] In May 2009, TV Guide reported that Bardash sold the Love and Music group to producer Evgeny Feshak “for hundreds of thousands of freely convertible money.”[10]
In 2010, Yuri Bardash and his wife Christina moved to the USA. American show business served as inspiration for the couple's creativity. At the same time, they became vegetarians.[11] In 2012, their son Georgiy[12] was born in Los Angeles.
During the American period, the Quest Pistols began to fall apart.[7] Upon returning to Ukraine, Yuri Bardash updated the concept of the group,[13] renamed it “Quest Pistols Show”, and the composition of the group completely changed.
“Moon” and “Mushrooms”: producer and rap performer[ | ]
In 2020, Yuri Bardash brought two new musical projects to the stage: the singer Luna (the creative pseudonym of Christina Bardash) and the hip-house group “Mushrooms”. Both projects, like Quest Pistols, instantly gained popularity.[14]
Quest Pistols era
It all started when dancers Nikita, Kostya and Anton - expressive and charismatic people - one day decided that it was time to move in a new direction. This task was placed on the shoulders of Yuri Bardash, who came up with the idea: “Why shouldn’t the ballet become singers?”
Group "Quest Pistols"
No sooner said than done: in 2007, through joint efforts, the guys found a talented girl who wrote their first lyrics and music, and began performing under the name Quest Pistols.
After their debut on the “Chance” program with the song “I’m tired,” which soon conquered all Ukrainian and Russian charts, the group rapidly gained popularity among pop music fans, and their first album “For You” received gold status. “I am a producer, a hunter of smart heads. One of my main tasks is to recognize talent and attract him to cooperation. I bring brilliant people together in action, and they produce a brilliant product,” admitted Yura.

It is worth noting that Bardash is one of the founders of the Ukrainian label “Lace,” which shoots videos and promotes pop stars. The producer considers Kuzma Scriabin and Ivan Shapovalov to be his “mentors” whom one can safely rely on. Previously, he also worked with the group “Nerves”,

Yuri Bardash and “Mushrooms”
In one of the most popular groups of 2016-2017, Bardash is not only a producer: under the auspices of the Mushrooms project, the 33-year-old former dancer first appeared as a performer. Mushrooms: where it all began Yura first appeared in the “Intro” video, after the first minute of the video. Bardash chose the image of a daring shaven-headed guy in sunglasses, squatting. In addition to Yuri, the group “Mushrooms” includes Ukrainian rappers 4atty aka Tilla and Symptom NZHN.

Due to his extensive work experience, Bardash knows how to attract an audience: “Mushrooms” is hip-hop music with simple but sarcastic lyrics. Fans who have dubbed the group a mixture of “Krovostok” and the group “Khleb” believe that “Mushrooms” may well perform at some Golden Gramophone,” given the phenomenal popularity of their debut album “House on Wheels, Part 1” and especially the tracks “ Bicycle" and "The Ice Is Melting". “Mushrooms” – “Intro”
