Biography of Rita Ora

In the year Rita Ora was born, the family of the future star had to leave the small town of Pristina in Yugoslavia, where the population suffered from armed conflicts. The girl grew up in west London and has been interested in singing since childhood. Rita has successfully collaborated with such global brands as DKNY, Rimmel, Roberto Cavalli, and in 2019 she became the face of a new advertising campaign for the Escada fashion house. In 2014, Ora, together with the Adidas brand, launched her own clothing line, which is successfully sold in stores in Europe and America.

She listened to Rita's recordings and considered them worthy of the label's management also paying attention to them. Five days after negotiations with the scout who found Rita, the singer went to New York and met with Jay-Z himself. The rapper offered her a contract and opened up new opportunities.

Already in 2009, Rita Ora recorded the song Young Forever with Jay-Z, and then worked with Drake on the single Over. At the same time, Craig David contacted her again, as a result of which they created the song Where's Your Love and shot a video. In addition, the singer decided to try her luck and participate in the selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, which was then supposed to be held in Moscow. She appeared on the BBC, but did not become the UK representative at the song competition.

Rita went deep into work on her debut album. Shortly before its release at the end of 2011, Rita presented the single Hot Right Now, recorded together with DJ Fresh and which became the singer’s first hit. Thanks to him, Rita felt truly famous for the first time. And in February 2012, Rita’s first completely solo song was released - How We Do (Party). In the same year, the public became acquainted with her first album, Ora. Many of the singles included in it took first place in the British charts.

In 2013, Rita began to be invited to films. She starred in the film Fast and Furious 6 and got a role in the film adaptation of the novel Fifty Shades of Gray. In addition, Rita has become a favorite of many fashion designers. The DKNY and Material Girl brands from Madonna invited her to their advertising campaigns. In addition, Rita became the face of the British cosmetics brand Rimmel.
