Childhood

The biography of Vasily Dmitrievich Fedorov began on February 23, 1918. Little Vasily was the ninth child in a family of ordinary workers. The Fedorov family lived in the village of Ust-Iskitimskoye (now within the city of Kemerovo).

The future poet spent his entire childhood and youth in the village of Maryevka, which he later described in one of his stories. The large family lived poorly, but very amicably. The guys helped each other and their parents, took care of the family household, and explored the world together. Little Vasily loved to spend time in nature, admiring its beauty and vast expanses. It was during his childhood that a love for nature arose in the poet’s soul. This love and admiration was later conveyed by Vasily Dmitrievich Fedorov in poems about nature, which received nationwide love.

Education

The future poet Dmitry Vasilyevich Fedorov studied at a four-year school in his native village. After finishing four classes, he worked on a collective farm for a year. In 1930, he entered the seven-year Zharkovskaya school, which was located 12 miles from home.

In 1931, Vasily was admitted to the Komsomol. After graduating from 6 classes in 1932, the guy was forced to leave school due to administrative and everyday difficulties and return to the collective farm. Thanks to his intelligence and responsible attitude to work, Vasily Fedorov was appointed Komsomol leader on the collective farm, and then joined the board of the collective farm artel.

Despite the fact that Vasily graduated from only 6 classes, in 1934 he managed to enter the Novosibirsk Mechanical Engineering College, which was later renamed Aviation College.

First try of the pen

It was while studying at the technical school that Vasily Dmitrievich Fedorov wrote his first poems.

In 1935, the future poet decided to try his hand at a literary competition that was held at the technical school. The guy was waiting for success and the first prize for his poetry. His comrades advised not to stop there, and Vasily sent his works to the Bolshevik Smena newspaper, signing as Vasily Lekhin. After this, in 1936, V.D. Fedorov faced his first criticism. The newspaper “Tasks of Literary Consultation” published an article in which the poet was advised to leave literature for a while and continue his studies.

In 1938, V.D. Fedorov graduated from the Novosibirsk Aviation College and was assigned to the city of Irkutsk. There he worked at an aircraft factory and was actively published in the factory's large-circulation magazine "Stalinets". His poem “To Mother” was even published in a regional periodical:

I believe
That people will very soon
They will grow in deep wisdom,
But love is like an apple of discord
Will forever remain
Cruel...

On July 25, 1940, the poem “We Must See,” which became iconic in the work of Vasily Dmitrievich Fedorov, was published in the factory’s large-circulation edition:

It's not enough to be surprised. Must see.
You have to feel and know with your heart.
If you know how to hate,
Learn to love and win...

War years

During the Great Patriotic War, Vasily Fedorov worked at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov, where he held the position of technologist and foreman.

At the same time, he continued to write poems, essays and stories. Here he joined the Novosibirsk Society of Writers. At the same time, the magazine “Siberian Lights” began publishing Fedorov’s literary works.

In 1944, 9 poems by Fedorov were included in the collective collection of poems by young writers of Novosibirsk “Motherland”.

In the same year he entered the literary institute in the correspondence department. After 3 years, Vasily Fedorov, thanks to his acquaintance with A. T. Tvardovsky, who spoke very positively about Fedorov’s story “The Maryevskaya Chronicle,” moved to Moscow and transferred to the full-time department of the same university. He graduated from it in 1950.

Where was you born and how did you spend your childhood?

Classmates Vasily and Larisa sat at the same desk and got married in 1949. Larisa already had a child at that time - son Igor. Vasily Dmitrievich adopted the boy and gave him his last name. The couple had no children together, but Vasily Dmitrievich raised and loved Igor as his own son, giving him all his love and care.

Personal life

The fact that Evgeniy has a wife and daughter is known from a few interviews with the deputy about his personal life. Family members are completely non-public people; photos are not published on the Internet.

In memory of V. D. Fedorov

The famous writer died on April 19, 1984, at the age of 67, from a heart attack.

V.D. Fedorov was buried at the Kuntsevo cemetery in Moscow.

In 1991, a tombstone sculpture of Vasily Fedorov made of white marble by master A. A. Bichukov was installed at the poet’s grave.

In the poet’s native village, after his death, a memorial museum was opened in which personal belongings, books and manuscripts of V. D. Fedorov are stored.

Since 1985, the Kemerovo region has held annual literature festivals dedicated to Fedorov - “Fedorov Readings”.

In addition, the V.D. Fedorov Literary Prize is awarded annually in the Kemerovo region.

The name of the writer and poet was also given to the regional scientific library of Kemerovo.

In 2020, all of Russia celebrates the centenary of the birth of the great genius of the literary word.

In 1985, Boris Fedorov defended his PhD thesis at Moscow State University. M.Yu. Lomonosov, in 1990 – doctorate at the Institute of the USA and Canada. Doctor of Economic Sciences.

From 1980 to 1987, Boris Fedorov worked as an economist, senior economist in the main monetary and economic department of the board of the State Bank of the USSR.

In 1987-1989 - senior researcher, senior researcher at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

In 1989-1990, he was a consultant to the socio-economic department of the CPSU Central Committee.

From July to December 1990 he served as Minister of Finance of the RSFSR.

Since 1991, he has been an adviser to the President of the Russian Federation on economic issues. He initiated and contributed to the adoption of laws on banks and joint stock companies. He took an active part in the development of the “500 days” economic program.

In 1992, he accepted an invitation to become director of the Soviet operations department of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

From October to December 1992, he was executive director from Russia on the Board of Directors of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (Washington, USA).

From December 1992 to January 1994, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers - Government of the Russian Federation, and at the same time from March 1993 to January 1994 he worked as Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation.

In 1993, Fedorov was elected to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the first convocation; he headed the deputy group “Liberal Democratic Union of December 12th”. Worked as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Activities of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. He was the author of the law “On the Central Bank of Russia”.

In 1994, he was an adviser to the President of the Chuvash Republic on financial and economic issues.

In February 1995, Fedorov created and led the “Forward, Russia!” movement, which ceased to exist independently in February 2002, having joined the Republican Party in its entirety.

Fedorov was a confidant of the first Russian President Boris Yeltsin during the 1996 presidential elections.

In 1996-1998, he was a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the second convocation, a member of the deputy group “Russian Regions”, a member of the Committee on Budget, Taxes, Banks and Finance (he resigned as deputy in May 1998 after being appointed head of the State Tax Service).

In 1998, from May to September, he worked as minister - head of the State Tax Service of the Russian Federation in the governments of Sergei Kiriyenko and Viktor Chernomyrdin. He introduced a package of bills to reduce taxes to the Government.

In 2000, shareholder Boris Fedorov was elected to the Boards of Directors of RAO UES of Russia and RAO Gazprom and a member of the Supervisory Board of Sberbank of Russia, in which he represented the interests of private shareholders.

Since February 2002, he was president of the Liberal Democratic Foundation and chairman of the Russian Economic Society.

In 2003, Boris Fedorov founded a private center for combating terrorism.

In April 2006, Fedorov was elected chairman of the Board of Directors of News-Media OJSC. He was one of its founders and honorary chairman of the financial group (FG).

He was co-chairman of the Republican Party of the Russian Federation (RPRF), president of the All-Russian socio-political movement “Forward, Russia!”

Fedorov is the author of more than 200 articles, books and scientific works, including the English-Russian Banking Dictionary.

He was married and was survived by a son and daughter.

Boris Fedorov died on November 20, 2008 in London after suffering a stroke.

Books of poetry by V. D. Fedorov continue to be published and are popular. At one of the last evenings dedicated to the work of V.D. Fedorov, V. Rakhmanov, whose publishing house published a book of the author’s poems, spoke about the popularity of the works at the present time. And young writers and poets of the new generation (Dm. Obryadchikov, Al. Pozelskaya, T. Letneva and others) spoke about a completely new perception of Fedorov’s work by the younger generation of readers.
