Alexander Buynov was born in Moscow in 1950. His father was a pilot and master of sports in several disciplines.
The future artist’s mother’s name was Klavdia Mikhailovna. She was passionate about music and graduated from the conservatory. It is her merit that all her children were passionate about creativity. And Buinov had a large family. He grew up with three brothers - Vladimir, Arkady and Andrey.
Parents not only insisted that Alexander enter a music school, but also did everything possible to make him look decent. However, he was attracted to the local punks.
His childhood was spent in the doorways making homemade firecrackers and other not always harmless pranks. One day the boys made a homemade carbide bomb, but for some reason there was no explosion. Alexander began playing in local rock bands, even founded his own group called “Antianarchists”. His acquaintance with Alexander Gradsky in 1966 was significant for him. Tom liked the talented guy and invited him to join him on tour.

Buinov played keyboards, taking part in the recording of most of the compositions that made the group famous. It was his participation in this group that allowed him to become famous.

As a result, Buinov managed to assemble his own group of musicians, whom he led as artistic director. At the same time, Alexander was also a songwriter, a director of all performances, and a performer.

It is interesting that at that moment, being at the peak of his popularity, Buinov decided to engage in self-education. He entered the directing department of GITIS. He received his diploma in 1992, presenting as his final work a solo concert “Captain Katalkin”, held at the Oktyabrsky concert hall in St. Petersburg.
Then, throughout his solo career, he constantly directed his own performances. For example, he prepared the programs “I Knew Love!”, “Wow, Life Has Brought It Up!”
In 1997, his program “Islands of Love”, developed together with composer Igor Krutoy, became popular.

The couple lived together until 1985, but were not happy. Buinov himself later admitted more than once that getting married “on the fly” was a mistake.
