Biography of Nikolai Rastorguev

The future singer was born in one of the villages of the Moscow region. The biography of Nikolai Rastorguev began on the 21st, the last month of winter, in 1957. Father: Rastorguev Vyacheslav Nikolaevich, worked as a driver. Mother: Rastorgueva Maria Aleksandrovna was engaged in sewing at a factory. After Nikolai had a sister, who was named Larisa, their mother was forced to leave the factory and do sewing orders right at home, in order to devote more time to her children, we are talking about both education and attention. As a child, Kolya was a completely ordinary child who grew up in the USSR. This includes a school of yard football, and forays into forest plantations and construction sites in the surrounding area.

The future singer repeatedly received scoldings from his father, both for his poor academic performance and for his adventurous forays. Already at that time, little Kolya began to master playing the guitar, devoted a lot of time to reading, and also drew.

A very important event in the life of the future artist was a trip to the cinema with his friend, whose mother held the position of that same cinema. It had the loud name “Illusion”. There Nikolai first saw a cinematic picture of the history of the rock group The Beatles. This had a very strong influence on the guy, and inspired by the success story, the future legend decides to take up the guitar seriously. At the same time, he was well aware that he did not have a keen ear, and his musical skills left much to be desired.

After graduating from school, Kolya enters the Technological University in Moscow. But he had no time for studying, and he was often absent and studying music, and he was expelled after an incident with the headman of his group; Nikolai beat his headman for informing on the guy.

After this, Rastorguev begins his journey as a musician and vocalist. And in 1989 the group “Lube” was born and exists to this day.

At the beginning of the two thousandth, the President of the Russian Federation awarded Rastorguev the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation. And subsequently, the singer became the official confidant of the current Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Last year, the vocalist suffered a heart attack before a concert. After this, a storm arose and everyone was discussing whether Nikolai Rastorguev had died at all. The cause of death was related to the heart. But these are just rumors and speculation, but in fact, doctors confirmed that the artist’s life is not in danger.

Biography

Born on February 21, 1957 in the family of driver Vyacheslav Nikolaevich Rastorguev (1932-2015) and seamstress Maria Aleksandrovna Kalmykova (born 1930).

The family came from the Tambov region - the singer’s grandfather Nikolai was a hereditary blacksmith, his wife was Anna Petukhova, the daughter of a wealthy miller who was dispossessed; After getting married, they settled in the Moscow region. His wealthy maternal great-grandfather Nikolai Terentyevich Kalmykov was repressed, his grandfather Alexander Nikolaevich Kalmykov worked as an accountant all his life. His grandmother Zinaida Vasilievna Kalmykova (ur. Orlova), was the daughter of a repressed parish psalm-reader (Vladimir Church (Bykovo)), the granddaughter of a parish priest, in marriage she became the mother of many children and was awarded the Order of the Mother Heroine[3].

As a child, although he did not study very diligently at school No. 3 in Lytkarino[4], he read, drew, and was interested in the group “The Beatles”. According to the singer, they encouraged him to take up music. As a vocalist, he performed in a musical ensemble (rehearsed at the MIR cultural center in Lytkarino) of the Lyubertsy Palace of Culture (Lyubertsy, Moscow region). His passion for the Liverpool Four played an important role in his search for a creative path. Later, when his hobby grew into the meaning of life and his main occupation, Rastorguev covered his favorite hits of “The Beatles”, which were even published in 1996 as a separate album “Four Nights in Moscow”[5].

After school, Nikolai Rastorguev studied at the Moscow Technological Institute of Light Industry, but did not graduate because he was expelled. The reason was a fight with the headman, who constantly pawned everyone.[6] After college, he began working as a mechanic at the Central Institute of Aviation Engine Engineering in Lytkarino.

Rastorguev did not serve in the army, because, according to him, he did not pass the medical examination:

“They didn’t take me because of my health: I didn’t pass the medical examination and received a “white ticket,” although I was seriously preparing for service, waiting for the call-up and dreaming of joining adult troops like the Airborne Forces. I am a purely peaceful person, but I can say that, of course, it is necessary to serve. In a country like Russia, the army must be strong, capable and victorious. Another thing is how a poor soldier is served in our army...”

- Nikolai Rastorguev. From an interview with the Megapolis Express newspaper[7]

According to another version, voiced by Rastorguev, he was not drafted into the army because of his studies at the university:

“I didn’t serve, but I wanted to. Moreover, he asked not to go anywhere, but to join the elite troops - the Marine Corps, the landing force. But they didn’t take me because I studied at the institute. So nothing happened with the landing.”

— Nikolay Rastorguev[8]

Before creating the Lyube group, Nikolai Rastorguev participated in other groups and ensembles.

In 1978-1980, Rastorguev was the vocalist of the VIA “Six Young” together with Valery Kipelov, the future vocalist of “Aria”.

In 1980, this ensemble fully became part of the VIA “Leisya, Song”, where Rastorguev sang until 1985, when the ensemble was closed by the authorities for failure to fulfill the state program. In “Leisya, Song” with Nikolai there were also Valery Kipelov and Sergei Chernyakov, the future drummer of the Alpha group and the Black Coffee group. Together with Kipelov, Nikolai Rastorguev took part in auditions for the Singing Hearts ensemble, but there was no vocalist vacancy for him.

In 1985-1986, Rastorguev played bass guitar and sang for some time in the group “Rondo”, then in VIA “Hello, Song!”[9]. Together with VIA “Hello, song!” took part in the first official Moscow rock festival “Rock Panorama-1986”. In 1989, he recorded three songs to the music of Vyacheslav Dobrynin on the disc “Music Plays on the Ship.” The group was simply called "ChP". Nikolai Rastorguev's first tour as front took place in the same 1989. A characteristic attribute of Rastorguev’s stage image was the military gymnast, which Alla Pugacheva advised him to wear at her “Christmas meetings.” However, in the late 1990s, after dry cleaning, this tunic shrunk, and finding a similar tunic from 1943 became quite difficult, and since then the singer usually performed in ordinary clothes, partly reminiscent of a military service jacket. But at the concert dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Igor Matvienko, Rastorguev again performed in a gymnast[10].

In 1991, at the presentation of the “Black Album” of the Kino group at the Moscow Youth Palace, Rastorguev almost got into a fight with Yuri Shevchuk, the leader of the DDT group. Two months later they reconciled[11].

In 1997, by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 1868 “For services to the state, great contribution and strengthening of friendship between peoples, many years of fruitful activity in the field of culture and art,” Nikolai Rastorguev was awarded the title “Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.”

In 1998, Rastorguev performed at the “Song of the Year” competition in a duet with Sofia Rotaru with the song “Zasentyabrilo”.

In 2002, Nikolai Rastorguev was awarded the title “People’s Artist of the Russian Federation.” In the same year, the singer made his debut on the stage of the Mayakovsky Theater in Andrei Maksimov’s play “Love in Two Acts.”

On September 5, 2020, a sculptural composition dedicated to the work of the Lyube group was installed on Smirnovskaya Street in Lyubertsy near Moscow[13].

The young man is involved in big business. Rastorguev Jr. willingly demonstrates the items of his wealth on Instagram: foreign cars, expensive watches and dinners in luxurious restaurants.

41-year-old Pavel, Rastorguev’s eldest son from his first marriage, lives in the city of Lyubertsy. He is married to Irina, they have a daughter, Sonya. The girl is the musician's favorite. For example, last year Nikolai Vyacheslavovich gave his granddaughter a bank card for her birthday, but he does not control the expenses on it

“I don’t want to buy something that she won’t need in the end. She is already quite an adult, she understands everything. I asked her: “Sonya, what would you like for your birthday?” And she says: “Grandfather, can you give me a children’s credit card?” Good move! Sure, not a problem! And I instantly made a card, she has money there for some personal needs,” the leader of “Lube” explained his decision then.

The musician admitted in an interview that Pavel and Kolya are similar to him. “Sons often adopt the habits of their fathers - right down to their gait, demeanor, and, by the way, things that should not be adopted. For example, Kolka, like me, is irritable over little things. I’m trying to fight this habit, but so far without success... But in general, both Kolya and Pasha are wonderful guys,” said Nikolai Rastorguev.

Son of Nikolai Rastorguev - Pavel

Forty-one years ago, the son of Nikolai Rastorguev, Pavel Rastorguev, was born. His life is already in full swing. He has a gorgeous daughter, whom he raises without missing a chance to enjoy fatherly moments.

Pavel received a diploma in cultural studies. It often happens that children inherit the genes of their star parents, but in the case of Pavel, nothing like that happened. He grew up to be quite an ordinary person. The eldest son maintains a very warm relationship with his father and often turns to the legendary singer for fatherly advice.

Biography of Rastorguev

Nikolai Rastorguev was born on February 21, 1957 in the city of Lytkarino (Moscow region). He grew up and was brought up in a simple family that had nothing to do with music.

His father, Vyacheslav Nikolaevich, worked as a driver, and his mother, Maria Alexandrovna, was a dressmaker.

Childhood and youth

While studying at school, Nikolai received rather mediocre grades. However, he loved to draw and read books. The boy became interested in music after hearing the songs of the legendary British group The Beatles.

The creativity of foreign musicians was fundamentally different from the Soviet stage. In the future, Rastorguev will re-sing the most famous British compositions and record them as a separate album.

At that time, Nikolai began performing in a local ensemble as a vocalist. After receiving his certificate, at the insistence of his parents, he entered the capital's Technological Institute of Light Industry.

Rastorguev could hardly be called a purposeful and diligent student. He had little interest in his studies, as a result of which he periodically skipped classes. Each time the group leader reported to the dean about student absences.

This led to the fact that Nikolai could not stand it and got into a fight with the headman, since he was pawning not only him, but also all the other students. As a result, Rastorguev was expelled from the university.

After being expelled, the guy was supposed to be called up for service, but this never happened. According to Nikolai, he did not pass the commission due to health reasons. However, in another interview, the artist stated that he was not in the army due to his studies at the institute.

It is worth noting that Rastorguev’s education and knowledge were enough to get a job as a mechanic at the Aviation Institute.

Son of Nikolai Rastorguev - Nikolai

The second son of Nikolai Rastorguev, Nikolai, was born in his second marriage. The boy was named after his father, and apparently for good reason. Starting from school age, the guy showed his talent to everyone around him. Until recently, the young man lived with his parents.

Nikolai Rastorguev Jr. has already succeeded in a kind of theatrical skill. Kolya voiced one of the roles in a full-length cartoon called “Three Heroes.” And everyone who follows the latest news from the family of the legendary singer hopes that the debut of Rastorguev Jr. was not the final stage in his work.

Personal life

The popular performer was married twice. Nikolai got married for the first time in his early youth, when he was 19 years old and his bride was 18. The chosen one of the future stage star was Valentina Titova, a neighbor in the yard. The friendship between them began in high school. It was a case of first love leading to marriage. After the wedding, the young people lived in the apartment of Valentina’s parents, and later rented a room in a communal apartment. The couple immediately thought about children - the first-born Pavel appeared in the family.

Nikolai Rastorguev with his first wife

This marriage lasted 15 years. Talking about his personal life, the singer explains that he does not remember being single, because immediately after his divorce from Valentina, Nikolai took Natalya, his second chosen one, to the registry office.

The artist’s bride worked as a costume designer in the musical group “Zodchie”, which was on tour with the group “Lube”, performing as an opening act. The wedding celebration took place in 1990. In 1994, their boy Nikolai was born.

Nikolai Rastorguev with his wife and son

Rastorguev lives with his family in a country house near Moscow. The eldest son Pavel gave his father a granddaughter, Sophia. Nikolai was informed that he had become a grandfather when the Lyube group gave a concert in London. At first, the singer could not get used to his new status; now his grandfather and Sonya are best friends. The girl is an excellent student at school, attends an art studio and a music school.

Nikolai Rastorguev with his granddaughter

Nikolai Rastorguev is friends with the family of actors Dmitry Pevtsov and Olga Drozdova and even became the godfather of their son Elisey Pevtsov. A significant event occurred in 2009.

In 2006, Nikolai Vyacheslavovich entered politics, joining the United Russia party. The artist believes that this is the only political force capable of bringing order to the country and raising it to a new level. Since 2010, he has been a current deputy of the State Duma of Russia.

Deputy Nikolai Rastorguev

In 2007, Nikolai Rastorguev began to feel unwell. An examination at the clinic revealed that he had advanced renal failure, which required constant hemodialysis. While waiting in line for a kidney transplant, the artist did not stop his creative activities and continued touring the cities of Russia. The only limitation was the availability of the necessary equipment in the clinics.

2 years after the disease was discovered, Nikolai underwent a kidney transplant. In 2015, Rastorguev continued treatment in Israel.

The ex-wife of Nikolai Rastorguev - Elena

As has been mentioned many times before, Nikolai Rastorguev’s ex-wife, Elena, gave life to the singer’s eldest son. And Elena and Nikolai met when they were still very young, this was Nikolai’s first love. The wedding took place when the singer turned 19 years old, and they lived in perfect harmony for fifteen years. But unfortunately, the couple divorced after a long and strong relationship, as it seemed.

Elena never put pressure on her husband, even when the family’s financial situation was deplorable. She believed in Nikolai to the end, that his work would be recognized, and so it happened, the singer gained fame, but continued his life’s path with another lady of his heart.

Rooms in communal apartments in the Moscow region

Front Nikolai Rastorguev, who became famous for singing military-patriotic songs, spent almost his entire life in the Moscow region.

The performer of such immortal hits of the 1990s as “Atas”, “Kombat” and “Don’t play the fool, America” Nikolai was born in 1957 in the village of Bykovo near Moscow (Lyubertsy district).

The future leader of Russian President Vladimir Putin's favorite group spent his childhood in a working environment: his father worked as a driver, and his mother worked as a seamstress.

Here, in the Lyubertsy district, Nikolai graduated from school No. 3 in the city of Lytkarino, located nearby (with a mediocre certificate) and entered the Moscow Technological Institute of Light Industry.

The young man’s creative nature could not stand his studies as a technologist: he began to skip lectures and had little interest in his studies.

Instead of mastering the profession of an engineer, Nikolai performed in a musical ensemble at the MIR Palace of Culture in the city of Lytkarino, and was fond of the work of The Beatles, whose songs he enjoys performing all his life.

After expulsion from the university, the young man worked as a mechanic at the Central Institute of Aviation Engine Engineering in Lytkarino.

But he did not work there for long, already in 1978 (at the age of 21) Nikolai became one of the members of the popular VIA “Six Young”, which also included Valery Kipelov, the future lead singer of the group “Aria”.

By that time, Nikolai was already married: he married for the first time at the age of 19 to his neighbor in the yard, Valentina Titova, who was 18 at that time.

From his parents' apartment, the musician moved to live in the apartment of his wife's parents, where they were given a room of 12 square meters.

Later, together with his family (in 1977, the couple had a son, Pavel), he rented a room in a communal apartment.

In an interview, Nikolai Rastorguev repeatedly said that he does not remember being single, since immediately after the divorce in 1990 he married a second time. The singer still lives with his second wife Natalya, who also bore him a son (Nikolai Rastorguev Jr.).

Nikolai Rastorguev's wife - Natalya

The reason for the dissolution of the singer’s first marriage was his new love. At the very beginning of the nineties of the twentieth century, while on tour, Nikolai met a magnificent woman who worked as a costume designer for a group called “Zodchie”.

For a long time they met secretly, and after that the couple entered into a marriage. The current wife of Nikolai Rastorguev, Natalya, is still close to the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. She gave her husband a second son, who was named Kolya. Some believe that the singer still has enormous popularity thanks to Natalia.
