Women's boxing has always been a subject of controversy and not everyone likes it. However, this sport not only exists, but also gives birth to its champions, one of whom is Natalya Rogozina. This woman, nicknamed “Sledgehammer,” holds the lead, is a member of the world women’s boxing league and is even listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

Biography

Natalya Ragozina is an invincible Russian boxer, two-time world champion, two-time European champion, whose name is included in the Guinness Book of Records. During her sports career, she fought 22 fights, and all of them ended in victory for Natalia. At some point, Ragozina had no rivals left - they would not agree to enter the ring against the Russian Sledgehammer for any money. Later, it was thanks to sports that the woman managed to realize her cherished dream - to become a model and actress.

Shooting for magazines and films

Despite the fact that Rogozina is involved in a sport associated with a brutal appearance, the boxer looks very feminine. She is often invited by various modeling agencies and glossy publications for men. At the beginning of her career, she did a photo shoot for Maxim magazine.

After a while, candid photos of the great champion could be seen in the popular men's publication Sim, where the girl appeared in a beautiful swimsuit.

The largest German tabloid newspaper Bild also published hot photos of the athlete. Natalya motivated her agreement to publicly expose her body by the fact that in this way she would popularize boxing with the participation of women. Also, according to the woman, such filming teaches one to be relaxed.

In 2008, Rogozina was included in the main cast of the film “Polar Bear,” which tells about sports life. Natalya was able to cope well with the main role and was awarded an award for her acting work. Together with her, Alexander Porokhovshchikov and Yuri Belyaev starred in the film. In 2020, the film “Love is just around the corner” was released, in the filming of which Rogozina also took part.

Childhood and youth

Natalya Ragozina was born in the Karaganda region. Her childhood years passed in the town of Abay. Natalya's father is Russian, and her mother is Tatar. Besides her, there were three more girls and a boy growing up in the family. Natalya Ragozina's first childhood dream was to fly on airplanes in a beautiful flight attendant uniform. But she melted after the first flight: the girl experienced incredible fear.

Natalya Ragozina in childhood with her family
Then Ragozina, naturally tall and slender, decided to become a model, but it didn’t work out either. Then the girl took up sports, choosing athletics. And she succeeded: in the middle distance running she managed to become the champion of Kazakhstan and Asia.

In 1993, when she turned 17, Natalya Ragozina’s sports biography changed dramatically. The girl moved to Nizhny Tagil, where her parents were from. Here Natalya signed up for the kickboxing section. At first, the thin blonde was kicked out of the hall, but she continued to improve her skills. It is interesting that, having practiced her kick in numerous training sessions, the girl has grown by 5 cm in a year. Today, Ragozina’s height is 183 cm (with a weight of 72 kg).

early years

The athlete was nicknamed “Sledgehammer” because of her blow, the enormous strength of which is unusual for the fair sex. In the world of boxing, Natalya has achieved incredible success, becoming the owner of all the belts and titles in professional sports. Having spent more than a hundred fights, the champion did not suffer a single defeat, and half of them ended in knockout.

Girl's childhood

The future celebrity was born on April 5, 1976, this event took place in the small town of Abay, located in the Karaganda region of Kazakhstan, in a Russian and Tatar family.

My parents devoted most of their time to work: my father worked in a mine, my mother worked in a hairdressing salon. Even in their youth, a married couple came to Abay to work, since at that time miners consistently received decent salaries, and the state provided them with free housing.

In addition to Natalya, the family had four children - a brother and three sisters. Parents did everything possible to ensure that their children always had good clothes, food and their favorite sweets. Over time, the family received an apartment consisting of five rooms. Since mom and dad gave their all at work, raising their sisters and brother fell on the shoulders of the eldest Tatyana. Natasha grew up as an independent child and helped Tatiana cope with household chores.

Schooling

When the future celebrity turned seven years old, her sister Tatyana enrolled her in the athletics section, in which she herself was able to become the champion of Kazakhstan and Asia in short-distance running. Soon, Natalya managed to achieve success: the girl was in the lead in middle distances, and by the age of 16 she became the champion of Kazakhstan , having graduated from a boarding school with a sports focus.

Having a tall height and a slender figure, the girl tried herself in the modeling business, but she did not succeed in making a career in this field. Since childhood, Natasha dreamed of becoming a flight attendant, but the first flight scared her so much that she had to give up this idea.

First sports victories

At the age of 17, the girl decided to completely change her life and left for Nizhny Tagil, where her aunt lived. This happened in 1993. Natalya understood that by remaining in Abai, she would completely deprive herself of the opportunity to advance in one area or another. The first step in her plans was to become a physical education teacher, for which Natalya applied to a pedagogical college. At the same time, the student worked as a waitress in a restaurant.

During her studies, the girl met her classmates who practice boxing. They advised her to try kickboxing. Rogozina came to the very first training session simply out of curiosity; the coach put her in sparring with a young man who bloodied the girl’s lip. Having run to the locker room, she decided not to continue these classes anymore, but Natalya’s aunt said that under no circumstances should she just give up, after which her niece reappeared at the training session.

The second lesson turned out to be much more successful, as the girl managed to take revenge on her offender. In Nizhny Tagil, Natalya was the only representative of the fair sex wearing boxing gloves. This activity shocked Natalya’s parents; they considered it unpromising and traumatic. At first, the mother and father tried to dissuade their daughter from this idea, but gradually came to terms with the fact that Natalya would connect her life with boxing. However, until now the relatives of the famous athlete cannot watch live broadcasts of her fights.

The girl received her first title at the age of 18, when she became the European champion in kickboxing. Exactly a year later, Natalya became world champion. Her abilities were immediately noticed, and the athlete received an invitation from coaches to move to Moscow. From that moment on, dramatic changes took place in her life, which served as the beginning of her professional career.

Personal life

During her sports career, she met her future husband, Mikhail. The man was also fond of martial arts and even turned out to be a master of sports in hand-to-hand combat. After the wedding and the birth of their son Ivan, the marriage began to crack at the seams. Mikhail was jealous of his wife and demanded that she leave boxing. And the woman dreamed of returning to big-time sports. To do this, she lost 17 kilograms, which she gained after giving birth.

Natalya Ragozina with her son Ivan
Unlike friends and fans, her husband was not happy about Natalya’s success. The man dreamed that his wife would take care of only the house and children. In a fit of jealousy, Mikhail once raised his hand against Natalya, which the athlete could not forgive him for. After the divorce, the son stayed with his mother. His grandfather helped raise Ivan all these years. Ragozina's father moved to live with his daughter and replaced his grandson's father. Today Vanya studies at MGIMO. He chose the profession of diplomat for himself.

Later, Ragozina remarried and lived for 12 years in peace and harmony with her chosen one named Fedor. As Natalya recalled in an interview, her husband was a kind and sensitive person who knew how to keep his word and fulfill his obligations. The relationship collapsed due to Natalia's new hobby.

From the treadmill to the ring

In 1993, Natalya Ragozina moved with her family to Nizhny Tagil. Wanting to find a profession outside of sports, she began studying at a pedagogical college. And then I decided to radically change my sports specialization. A beautiful seventeen-year-old girl replaced her athletic spikes with boxing gloves. At first, like Vitali Klitschko, she took up kickboxing.

Her parents were ambivalent about her choice. Mom cried a lot and was still afraid that her daughter would get hit in the face.

However, her rivals rarely managed to break through the defense of the lightning-fast Natalya. The athlete easily dealt with all the girls, often ahead of schedule. She won her first tournament at the age of 17. Then Natalya Ragozina, a local champion, moves to Moscow, accepting the invitation of an authoritative person in the world of sports, Mark Meltzer.

Soon she gains global authority, invariably defeating all her rivals in various tournaments. The girl suffered her only defeat in one of the fights in the USA with very controversial judging by local referees. Despite the fact that Natalya’s opponent was knocked down three times, the judges awarded her the victory. The outraged Natalya Ragozina did not want to leave the ring for a long time, and they had to call in a squad of strong security guards to calm the athlete down.

Natalya Ragozina now

Now boxing is not the main thing for an athlete. She heads the women's hockey league and regularly goes on the ice herself, including during Night League games, in which Vyacheslav Fetisov, Alexei Kasatonov, Vladimir Yakushev and Vladimir Putin participate.

In addition to sports, Ragozina has been participating in the filming of the TV project “Amazing People” as an expert for several years now. Natalya passes on her sports skills to children by regularly organizing master classes.

Sports career

In 1993, our heroine became the world and European champion for the first time. After that, professional trainers from Moscow became interested in her and invited her to move to the capital. The girl did just that, this became a turning point in her destiny. Here she continued to conquer the world ring, and 3 years later she received the honorary title of Honored Master of Sports. It was 1998, she became the first owner of such a title in boxing. A few years later, she twice became the world champion in this discipline. At the European Championships she won a gold medal and brought the World Cup to Russia.

But the amateur direction did not bring her the required amount of income; it was necessary to pay for housing in Moscow, because she did not have her own real estate. As a result, in 2004 he switched to professional boxing. She didn't have to wait long for her first success. At 22 years old, she has never lost to a single fighter in the ring. During the year, the girl had 5 fights, and four of them ended in an undisputed knockout.

Throughout her career, she has never injured her face or spoiled her appearance. For all her achievements, fans gave her the nickname “Sledgehammer.” In 2008, the girl tried on the role of an actress; she was taken into the main cast of the film “Polar Bear” about sports.

She perfectly coped with the main role, for which she received several awards at the Atlant Film Festival. In 2009, Natasha defeated her opponent in the heavyweight division. There is not a single competitor left in her team; she has firmly taken a leading position in her niche. It was 2011, and she already had 22 boxing victories under her belt. Not a single opponent decided to take part in the 23rd fight.

Even at the beginning of her professional career, she could be seen on the covers of popular glossy publications, including the girl posing for Maxim magazine, many of the photographs were of an erotic nature.

Thus, Natalia wanted to popularize women's boxing among the masses. In 2014, she took part in an amateur hockey match in Sochi, where she was accompanied by Russian President V.V. Putin on the court. Currently, she continues to occupy a leading position not only in boxing, but also at home as a mother. One day she wanted to have the best fight with Laila Ali, the daughter of the great boxer, but the fight never took place.

The personal life of boxing champion Natalya Rogozina was not very successful, which cannot be said about her professional career in the ring. Outside of boxing, she is a fragile and vulnerable woman who cannot easily endure the blows of fate. Despite this, she was able to pull herself together and regain family happiness.

Natalya Ragozina biography and personal life

Natalya Ragozina Biography Filmography Photo Photo shoots Wallpaper Video
Natalya Ragozina lives in Germany today.
This is a famous athlete who does not know defeat, born in the Kazakh SSR on April 5, 1976 in the family of a miner. She performs in such a male sport as boxing, although since childhood she dreamed of becoming a fashion model. I got acquainted with sports, became interested in athletics, and took first places. In short, I ran. And I studied to be a teacher in college.

Once I tried to box, and one guy broke her nose and lip, bleeding. This touched the girl to the core. Since the age of 16, Natasha has already been involved in kickboxing in Nizhny Tagil, while studying at a sports college. And wins the sports tournament!

She was noticed by trainers and invited to Moscow, where in 1998 she received the title of Honored Master of Sports, kickboxing, and an apartment. For 5 years she performed in the amateur ring, in boxing, until she turned professional in 2004.

Natalya liked to knock out her rivals, and they began to fear her. And at first there was strong mental pressure on their part. In Russia there has not been, and still is not, a woman equal in skill to the “sledgehammer man.”

A contract with a German sports club in 2006 helped her, using all her skills, to get rich. Undefeated in the super middleweight division, the Russian “bear” crushed everyone. Only men can resist her, and not all of them.

Natalya Ragozina won the world championship three times and the Russian championship five times! Her high-speed, powerful blows unsettle her opponents. Once she defeated a two-meter-tall Bulgarian. Natalya is not small herself - 181 centimeters and moves well in the ring.

In everyday life, I “knocked” once and Andrei Malakhov, the TV presenter, flew away. Once, in the Odintsovo microdistrict, where she lived, she laid down two men who had pestered her.

Before a fight, Ragozina likes sex to exercise. She also starred in the films “Polar Bear,” which appeared on screens in 2008, and in the TV series “Eclipse.”

As for Natalya Ragozina’s personal life, she is raising her son Ivan. She is raising her alone, after a divorce from her jealous husband Mikhail, he began beating his wife and was proficient in hand-to-hand combat. I had to walk away proudly. Today she has another man.

Natalya Rogozina, husband

Natalya Rogozina got into boxing completely by accident - she and her friends came to the gym, where, for the sake of laughter, they decided to take part in sparring with an experienced partner. The first fight in her life ended with a broken nose for the future champion, but this did not discourage her from training.

Since she was the only girl doing kickboxing at the gym, her opponents in the training ring were only guys, but she was a worthy opponent for them.

Natalya has always loved sports, she was previously involved in athletics, and her purposeful character and natural abilities made her in the future a famous champion, first in kickboxing, and then in boxing. Natalya started amateur boxing in 1999, and two years later she got married. Unfortunately, in this marriage she did not find her female happiness.

Despite the fact that Natasha did everything to make the house warm and cozy, Natalya Rogozina’s husband Mikhail could not calmly relate to his wife’s lifestyle - he did not like her active sports life, he wanted to see only a housewife in his wife raising their son Vanya, and nothing more.

In the photo - Natalya Rogozina with her son

In addition, and this was the most offensive, Natalya Rogozina’s husband was one of those unsightly types of men who would not mind raising a hand against a woman, which he once demonstrated to his wife. She was not going to tolerate a pugnacious and jealous husband next to her all her life, and filed for divorce.

Sports brought up courage and determination in Natalya, and she was not afraid to remain alone and raise her son on her own. When her son grew up, Natasha told him why they broke up with his dad, and Vanya understood his mother and took pity on her.

Now the athlete no longer holds a grudge against her ex-husband, and is even grateful to him for giving her such a wonderful son. Today, next to this beautiful woman in many respects there is a man who, perhaps in the future, will become Natalya Rogozina’s husband, because in him she found her ideal - the athlete’s lover, a man who respects and loves her, on whom she can always rely.

Even though they live in different houses, it doesn't matter much to the champion. Natalya Rogozina's potential husband is an official from the Moscow government, he was married, he has two sons with whom she has an excellent relationship. Natalya rarely appears in public with her man because she does not like to demonstrate her relationship. Also interesting: Maria Kravets, husband and Marina Denisova, husband
