The full name of the performer is Maxim Anatolyevich Korzh. He was born on November 23, 1988 in the city of Luninets (Brest region, Belarus). The parents of the future star are entrepreneurs who were engaged in the sale of building materials.
The singer has an older sister, Natasha, who supported her brother in his creative endeavors. The musician’s great-great-grandfather Vasily Zakharovich is a Hero of the Soviet Union, one of the leaders of the Belarusian partisan movement during the Great Patriotic War.
In childhood
Max admitted that from early childhood he dreamed of becoming an artist. He loved to sing and demonstrated perfect pitch and excellent vocal abilities. His father enrolled him in a music school to study piano. Later the boy mastered playing the guitar. The talented guy wrote his first song at the age of 13. His idols were Eminem, Dr. Dre, members of Onyx, Public Enemy.
He studied at a school with a mathematical bias. As a teenager, the future star’s performance declined sharply, and Maxim’s parents transferred him to a lyceum. The rapper stated that in his youth he was “a goofball, trying to express himself in something.”
After receiving a diploma of secondary education, Korzh became a student at BSU. Subsequently, he said that he entered the prestigious Faculty of International Relations “on his own, without cronyism or connections.”
He and his friends organized the group Lun Clan and performed in clubs in Minsk. This team, like several of Max's subsequent projects, quickly disintegrated. Friends rented an apartment near the Proletarskaya metro station. His student years, according to the musician, “were spent in drunken parties.”
Parents condemned this lifestyle of their son. The singer admitted that during this period the relationship with his father became strained. Later, dad and mom accepted his choice and are now very proud of him. In his second year, Maxim was expelled for absenteeism and drafted into the army. After demobilization, he was reinstated at the university, but was never able to graduate.
