Alexander Aleksandrovich Zhigalkin

(February 1, 1968, Moscow, USSR) - Soviet and Russian actor and director of theater, film and television, screenwriter and producer. He is best known for his directorial work in the television projects “6 Frames”, “Thank God, You Came!”, “Daddy’s Daughters”, “Voronins”[1][2].

Actress Daria Poverennova rarely shares details from her personal life with fans. Her Instagram is replete with photos from work trips, as well as details about new filming. However, the star decided not to make a secret of the wedding of her only daughter Polina.

On the eve of the holiday, she said that she was incredibly excited and still couldn’t believe what was happening. A little later, Daria published the first photos from the celebration, wishing the newlyweds happiness.

"My children! Husband and wife. It was a fantastic day! How beautiful the newlyweds were, so beautiful was the wedding! I want to thank everyone who took part in the organization. It was a magical day,” Poverennova shared her emotions.

The happy bride chose a snow-white dress with open shoulders and a deep neckline. Polina preferred simple styling, only slightly curling her short strands. But the groom appeared at the celebration in a checkered vest, a blue shirt and blue trousers.

Fans of Poverennova noted that the newlyweds look great together. It did not escape their attention that Daria’s daughter is incredibly similar to her. According to fans, the film and theater star looks almost the same age as the bride.

Polina's father Alexander Zhigalkin was also present at the ceremony. Daria broke up with her husband in the early 2000s, but despite the breakup, the former spouses were able to maintain friendly relations for the sake of their common daughter.

The happy bride herself has been actively telling subscribers about preparations for an important celebration for several weeks. According to Poverennova’s daughter, her lover proposed to her in April, and organizing the wedding took them two and a half months.

“I recently turned 26 years old. I know that this new year in my life will bring big changes. And in general, according to my plan, I have a child until he’s 27,” Polina recently said.

Daria Poverennova, apparently, will be glad to become not only a mother-in-law, but also a grandmother. At least on social networks, she has repeatedly noted that her daughter’s happiness and the well-being of her family are the most important things in life for her.

But not much is known about the chosen one of the actress’s 26-year-old daughter. Oleg Vasiliev is actively involved in music and travels a lot. His relationship with Polina has been going on for six years, but the lovers decided to get married only now. According to some fans, Poverennova’s heiress is expecting a baby, and therefore she decided to legalize her relationship with her other half.

One way or another, the luxurious celebration, organized in one of the country clubs in Moscow, will be remembered for a long time by all the friends and relatives of the newlyweds. Oleg and Polina themselves are now planning to go on a honeymoon, after which they will begin preparing for a new addition to the family. Fans have no doubt that Daria Poverennova will do everything possible to help her daughter raise future heirs.

Childhood and youth

Alexander Alexandrovich Zhigalkin was born on February 1, 1968 in Moscow. The actor’s creative biography began in 1983, when the teenager appeared as a ninth-grader in the film-play directed by Yuri Krotenko “The Weather in the City is Good.” He received his professional education in Yuri Ashvarov's group at the acting department of the Boris Shchukin Higher Theater School, from which he graduated in 1992.

As a student, he played not only in educational productions at the Yevgeny Vakhtangov Theater, but also voiced the French cartoon “Pif and Hercules” in 1982 for distribution in the Soviet Union. Together with classmates Eduard Radzyukevich and Viktor Bakin, the graduate organizes the “Scientific Monkey” theater, which is especially successful in comedy productions.

On February 1, director Alexander Zhigalkin and part-time husband of the beautiful actress Svetlana Antonova turned 50 years old. The director has such popular projects under his belt as “Daddy’s Daughters”, “Six Frames”, “Voronins”.

For a director, the best rest is a change of activity. “I can’t sit in one place, I immediately start to fade,” says Alexander Zhigalkin. In television projects, he acts not only as a director, but also as an actor, periodically appearing in the frame. Despite the number of things to do, his main priority in life remains family.

Zhigalkin was married three times. As a 3rd year student at the Shchukin School, he tied the knot with actress Daria Poverennova, who was studying two years younger. The couple had a daughter, Polina. Now the girl is 25 years old. She graduated from the journalism department of Moscow State University and works in a large PR agency.

Alexander's second wife was producer Ekaterina Zhigalkina, who gave him a daughter, Anastasia. Nastya is 16 years old, the girl is studying in the 9th grade of the capital’s lyceum. However, Zhigalkin was able to become truly happy only on the third attempt, having married actress Svetlana Antonova. The couple are raising three children – 13-year-old Maria (Svetlana’s daughter from her first marriage to actor Oleg Dolin), 5-year-old Taisiya and 2-year-old Arseny.

According to Zhigalkin, they celebrated the anniversary modestly, as always, with their close friends and relatives. A small group of 150 people gathered in the Central House of Actors, sat and talked. 50 years is a long time. “I am happy with everything I have at the moment. But, of course, there are things that I would not do - for example, I would not make several personal mistakes. If we talk about the profession, I wouldn’t change anything here - I was definitely doing the same thing. I get great pleasure from what I do. And the people working with me on the same team are happy,” admits the hero of the day.

Alexander Zhigalkin was convinced that humor saves the day in any situation. “We need to smile more and have a sense of self-irony. Then everything will be fine, and no one will go crazy,” says Zhigalkin.

Alexander built a wonderful house in the village, away from Moscow, where he and his family happily go in the summer. Zhigalkin has four children, but he believes that he has five children, because Mashenka is Svetlana’s daughter from her first marriage, and is his daughter like the others. “My eldest child is 25, my youngest is almost two. Because of this spacing, I feel a strong difference between them. The children are friends with each other. From time to time we all get together to have fun. We recently went ice skating. Apart from Arseny, however, he does not yet join us on the ice, but he already has skates. Taisiya is five years old. She goes to preparatory school, where she does gymnastics, acrobatics, and dancing. 16-year-old Anastasia is a 9th grade student at the Lyceum. Studying is easy, she only has good grades in her diary, so at home we call her “smart rabbit.” Not long ago she graduated from music school. She wants to try herself in the acting field. The eldest, 25-year-old Polina, works in a large PR agency and is already a small one, but she is the boss. Polina has a wonderful young man, Oleg, with whom she has been dating for a long time. Last spring, he proposed marriage to her. There should be a wedding in the summer,” the director said about his children.

Zhigalkin has a busy schedule, he tries to perform several tasks at the same time. “No matter how busy you are, you should always have enough time for your family. Children must see their dad and communicate with him, and the wife must see her husband,” the director believes.

“The love for doing several things well at the same time has lived in me since my student years. For me this is a kind of sport. I can organize a skit, think about the little things, the subtleties that are necessary for filming this or that project, analyze important papers and eat. When I’m at rest, on vacation, for example, I feel uncomfortable,” StarHit quotes Zhigalkin.

Personal life

Alexander chose his colleagues as his wife three times. The actor entered into his first marriage with Daria Poverennova while still a third-year student at the Shchukin Theater School. Daria studied there, but one year younger. The couple lived together for 10 years, but divorced. In her first marriage, on August 15, 1992, a daughter, Polina, was born. She chose the profession of journalist, graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University and works in a large PR agency.

In his second marriage to producer Ekaterina Zhigalkina, a daughter, Anastasia, was born in 2001. Nastya studies at the Moscow Lyceum, graduated from music school and is thinking about an acting career.
