In 2014, the “Dancing” project was launched on the TNT channel. The producers and choreographers of the TV show traveled all over Russia and neighboring countries in search of new talents. Preparation for the show consisted of castings in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Novosibirsk, Kazan and St. Petersburg.
The best were selected from 10 thousand applicants. Among them was Ukrainian dancer Vitaly Savchenko. At first the guy was not taken seriously because of his provocative appearance, but after the casting the audience realized that he had a great chance of becoming the star of the project.

After being selected for the project, the dancers were assigned to teams. Two jury mentors, Miguel and Yegor Druzhinin, chose their wards. Vitaly ended up on Miguel's team.
