In the late 80s, Gazmanov created his own group, “Squadron,” which immediately gained fame. Soon Oleg releases a solo album, which contains the songs “Putana”, “Esaul”, and “Fresh Wind”, and the album sells a huge circulation of 30 million.

In the 90s, Gazmanov was caught up in a wave of popularity; he flew to Monte Carlo, where he received an award, starred in films, and also made a big tour of the United States, where he attracted sold-out crowds from Russian emigrants.
