Childhood and youth
The son of one of the most beautiful and talented acting couples in the Soviet Union - Nonna Mordyukova and Vyacheslav Tikhonov - was born at the end of winter 1950. The creative career of the parents was gaining momentum, they disappeared on set and could not raise the boy. Volodya remained in the care of his paternal grandparents.
After 13 years, the couple realized that it was impossible to continue maintaining the family: the energetic Don Cossack woman of a hot disposition and the handsome man with a gentle character from the Moscow region finally stopped understanding each other. After the divorce, the son remained to live with his mother. Actress Lyudmila Khityaeva often visited her friend Nonna Mordyukova, and later recalled that Volodya grew up as an obedient boy with aristocratic manners, he always met her at the door and helped her take off her coat.
The separation of close people became a real tragedy for the teenager - Vladimir found himself left out of their personal life. Vyacheslav Nikolaevich found a new family in a short time. Nonna Viktorovna also did not lose hope of finding happiness, starting novels one after another. As a result, the boy, lonely at heart, ended up in bad company, where he became acquainted with drugs and alcohol.

Vladimir Tikhonov and Nonna Mardyukova
As the media write, his problems with alcohol began already in the 5th grade, and the young man completed a course of treatment for drug addiction even before he was a student. Nonna Viktorovna herself remembered exactly the moment when she realized that she had missed her son - after returning home from the filming of the film “Commissar”. The actress once talked about this on television.
Perhaps Mordyukova’s son would have graced Soviet jurisprudence - Volodya was going to become a lawyer. However, the star mother felt that with such an appearance the child would be better off continuing the acting dynasty. The doors of the school opened for the young man. Shchukin. The course where Vladimir studied was a golden constellation of future celebrities - he learned the craft of acting hand in hand with Konstantin Raikin, Natalya Gundareva, Natalya Varleya.
Having received his diploma, Vladimir Tikhonov devoted two years of his life to the Theater of the Soviet Army, thanks to which he managed to avoid serving in the real army. After this, the actor devoted his life entirely to cinema.
Biography
Vladimir was born in Moscow in 1950 into a creative family. When his parents were on set, he stayed with his grandmother. When the boy was thirteen years old, his parents decided to divorce, and this was a big blow for him. Now his family consisted of himself and his mother.
Vyacheslav Tikhonov quickly married again, Nonna Viktorovna was actively looking for a mate, and Volodya felt lonely. It was probably then that the psychological breakdown that ruined his life happened.
Already in the fifth grade he learned what alcohol was, and at an older age he tried drugs. He got so used to them that after graduating from school he was forced to undergo a course of treatment.
When Nonna Viktorovna realized that something was wrong with her son, it was too late to raise him.
However, after graduating from school, Vladimir decided to enter the Faculty of Law. However, his mother insisted that he receive an acting education, and in 1967 Tikhonov became a student at the College. Shchukin. Future celebrities studied with him: Konstantin Raikin, Natalya Gundareva, Natalya Varley.
After college, Vladimir served in the Theater of the Soviet Army, so he was not drafted into the real army. After working here for the required two years, the actor went to work at the Theater-Studio of Film Actors and began acting in films.
Personal life
In his short life, Vladimir Tikhonov married twice. For the first time, I decided to legalize my relationship with my classmate Natalya Varleya, with whom I was very much in love. The bride found out that the groom was a drug addict on the wedding day, but the news did not stop her. Natalya decided to help her loved one at all costs - she stopped communicating with friends who were heavily addicted to drugs and alcohol, and took her to the doctors. But the efforts were unsuccessful, the marriage broke up without lasting even a year. In January 1972, the couple had a son, Vasily.
In 1975, Vladimir again went to the registry office. Fate met his second wife, 18-year-old artist of the Moscow Ice Ballet Natalya Egorova, on tour in Chelyabinsk. Until the last day of the actor’s life, Natalya remained his official wife, but the couple rarely lived together. This was hampered by either Natalia’s tours or Vladimir’s drinking bouts. The marriage produced a son, Vladimir.

Vladimir Tikhonov and Natalya Varley
Little is known about the further fate of Tikhonov’s children. Natalya Varley said in an interview that Vasily studied at the Institute of Contemporary Arts. By the way, the press has long discussed rumors that Tikhonov’s son is not his own, because Vasily bears his mother’s surname. Journalists and bloggers on the Internet even compared photos of Tikhonov’s eldest heir with portraits of his father and grandfather, finding no similarity. However, the gossip was never officially confirmed or refuted.
After school, the youngest son rushed about in search of his path: he studied at a culinary school, took opera singing courses, and entered GITIS. The artist serves at the Capital Romance Theater.

Movies
The creative biography of Vladimir Tikhonov was successful - he starred in several dozen films. For the first time, the country saw the handsome actor, who was still among the students, in the film “The Path to Saturn.” But Volodya gained fame and universal love from the audience for his work in the film “Russian Field”, where he starred with his mother for the first and last time.
The drama “Russian Field” entered the treasury of cinema, and the script became a kind of prophecy for the family - according to the plot, the main character Fedosya Ugriumova, performed by Mordyukova, buried her son. Viewers believe that there has never been a more poignant farewell between mother and child in any Russian film. The film took third place at the 1972 box office.
In the actor’s filmography there is also one work, on the set of which Vladimir ended up with his father. In 1979, director Stanislav Rostotsky created a film about Vyacheslav Tikhonov, “Profession: Film Actor.” According to the script, the son and father meet in the Mosfilm pavilion.

Nonna Mordyukova, Natalya Egorova and Vladimir Tikhonov in their youth
The 70s were a fruitful decade for Vladimir Tikhonov - the young man was lucky to get leading roles; film fans remembered the films “Two Days of Anxiety”, “Yas and Yanina”, “Colonel Zorin’s Version”.
In the 80s, the career began to decline, although in 1982 three films with Vladimir’s participation were released at once - “Return of the Resident”, “Monogamous People” and “Capture”. A year later, Tikhonov received the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR.
Despite being in demand among directors and having a busy acting life filled with filming and creative evenings, Vladimir believed that the audience was not particularly concerned about his talent. The actor's soul, like that of many children of brilliant parents, was broken by constant comparison with his mother and father.
Vasily Tikhonov became the head of Nizhnevartovsk.
The agenda of the second meeting of the Nizhnevartovsk Duma of the sixth convocation was busy - deputies considered 33 issues in a variety of areas. However, the most recent question aroused the greatest interest - the election of the head of the city of Nizhnevartovsk. At the stage of submitting applications from applicants for the position of head of the city, intrigue was still present when among the nine applied candidates the townspeople did not see city manager Alla Badina. Already at subsequent stages, it became obvious that one of the candidates, the director of the department of municipal property and land resources of the city administration, Vasily Tikhonov, was the clear favorite.
The chairman of the competition commission for selecting candidates for the position of head of the city of Nizhnevartovsk, deputy of the Ugra Duma, Sergei Velikiy, reported how the competition was held. So, on October 22, a meeting of the competition commission took place. One of the applicants did not show up for the first stage, so the document packages of eight applicants were evaluated. Four candidates were admitted to the second stage of the competition. Here, the professional level of readiness of the candidate for the position of head of the city of Nizhnevartovsk was assessed. It was decided to submit two candidates to the Nizhnevartovsk Duma - the head of the public safety department of the city administration, Sergei Efremov, and the director of the department of municipal property and land resources, Vasily Tikhonov. Each of them yesterday presented to the people's representatives their vision of the development of Nizhnevartovsk for the coming years. Afterwards, the voting procedure began, during which the candidates left the hall. The deputies unanimously gave their votes to Vasily Tikhonov, who was elected head of the city of Nizhnevartovsk for five years.
Vasily Tikhonov considers the main goal in the work of the city mayor to be improving the standard of living of the population and ensuring comfortable living in Nizhnevartovsk. He spoke about this in his report to city deputies, noting that, if necessary, a reformist approach to solving certain problems is possible. According to Vasily Vladimirovich, in order to achieve the main goals, it is necessary to solve several problems. First of all, these are issues of housing and communal services. Moreover, here it is necessary to focus, first of all, on the opinion of consumers and take into account their suggestions. The second task is the active construction of new and resettlement from dilapidated housing, solving the problem of providing large families with free land plots. It is important to continue building new roads and repairing existing ones. “We must make our courtyards in neighborhoods cozy and comfortable. This is what the residents want, and this should become a task of paramount importance for the city authorities,” Vasily Tikhonov emphasized. Moreover, it is important that the elected head of the city intends to use all the best that was done by his predecessors and apply this baggage for the socio-economic well-being of Nizhnevartovsk. Vasily Tikhonov also noted that it is extremely important to maintain a dialogue with the public when solving citywide problems. Everything that is done for the townspeople must be done together with the townspeople themselves. “We live in the same city, and we are all concerned about its fate. We are interested in making our life and the life of our children comfortable, prosperous and safe in this city. I am ready to persistently achieve my goals. To do this, I have both many years of practical experience in a leadership position and a wealth of scientific knowledge necessary to lead the city,” said Vasily Vladimirovich.
As Maxim Klets, who was the head of the city of Nizhnevartovsk until Vasily Tikhonov officially took office, said after the Duma meeting, the inauguration is expected within 15 days from the date of the official publication of the Duma’s decision on electing the head of the city of Nizhnevartovsk. “The elected head of the city will report on the results of his activities every year, this is provided for by the Charter of Nizhnevartovsk,” noted Maxim Klets. “The position of the head of the city carries a great burden of responsibility, so I wish Vasily Vladimirovich only success in all his endeavors.”
Death
The use of drugs and alcohol undermined the health of Vladimir Tikhonov; the man suffered a stroke twice. In June 1990, the actor passed away; the cause of death was heart failure from a drug overdose. His body was discovered only on the third day.
At that time, Egorova’s relationship with Tikhonov was experiencing another crisis, the couple broke up, but Vladimir called his wife and begged for forgiveness, vowing to give up addictions. The news of death caught Natalya on tour in Leningrad, the woman immediately arrived and saw an unpleasant picture - the first wife was preparing for the funeral. According to the press, women are still in confrontation.
The grave of NONNA VIKTOROVNA MORDYUKOVA at the Kuntsevo cemetery.
Next to my son... Published by Irina Alexandrova Thursday, July 6, 2020
The grave of Vladimir Tikhonov and Nonna Mordyukova
Vladimir Tikhonov was buried at the Kuntsevo cemetery. In 2008, her mother’s grave appeared nearby - it was the will of Nonna Mordyukova, who was extremely upset by the passing of her only child.
“I’m still worried. The pain still tingles in my heart. It was as if a stake had been driven into him. The pain does not resolve, does not disperse,” Nonna Viktorovna admitted years later.
In recent interviews, Vyacheslav Tikhonov lamented that he did not give his son proper attention and education. They say that Vyacheslav Nikolaevich allegedly wanted to be buried next to his son, but the second family did not fulfill their will.
Vyacheslav Tikhonov and Nonna Mordyukova: a love story
Azerbaijan, Baku, December 5 / corr. Trend Life Vugar Imanov/
The romance between Mordyukova and Tikhonov was bright - they were called the most beautiful couple in Soviet cinema. Their passionate love and marriage surprised many - the spouses were very different in temperament. Open and energetic Mordyukova and taciturn, melancholic Tikhonov. Two legendary personalities of Soviet cinema lived together for only 13 years. Were these years a period of marital bliss, what brought them together and why did they separate? We present to Trend Life readers material prepared based on materials from Russian media.
How the Young Guard grew into a young family
They met in 1947 on the set of the famous two-part film “The Young Guard” based on the famous novel by Fadeev. Nonna Mordyukova played Ulyana Gromova, and Vyacheslav Tikhonov played Volodya Osmukhin. Vyacheslav was then 19 years old, and Nona was 22. In 1948, the film became the leader in film distribution in the vast country of the Soviets, and with the light hand of director Sergei Gerasimov, the film turned out to be a happy ticket to big cinema for them. The Stalin Prize of 1949 also contributed to the noisy audience recognition. Vyacheslav did not pay attention to Nonna Mordyukova for a long time. It took her a lot of effort to turn the head of the slender, silent handsome man. And in 1950, on February 29, they had a boy, who was named Vladimir.
“I immediately realized that I didn’t actively, tragically need him,” Mordyukova recalled. “But the child has already appeared, and according to Christian custom we began to live together. Or rather, not to live, but to suffer - neither he nor I wanted to go home...”
And it was difficult to call their home a “home”: a small room in a communal apartment, through which all the families constantly walked back and forth. And so they lived for more than 10 years...
“Our family life developed clumsily,” recalls Mordyukova. - Always in deep debt, barely surviving from paycheck to paycheck... Their marriage was ready to fall apart within a year... But separating at that time was somehow not accepted, and it was shameful. Upbringing! Nonna often cried to her mother: “I can’t do it anymore, I want to get a divorce!” And she answered: “Don’t give up, daughter, otherwise you’ll be alone for the rest of your life!” Still, Slava is a good guy..."
What caused the divorce?
They divorced two days after the death of Nonna's mother. With grievances against each other...
On the set of one film, Mordyukova became interested in one of her partners in the film, Vasily Shukshin. She frankly admitted: “It was a difficult time for me. Vasya was the same with everyone, but I wanted him to be with me more often. And, without stopping, she followed his every gesture, caught his every word. Thank God, Vasya’s role was small, and he did not stay on the expedition for long. The acute, painful moment for me passed safely. How difficult it sometimes is for us women when you have a husband, a son, and the memory of someone else is hammering inside you..."
Another version. The director of the film “Emergency” Grigory Davydovich Alien says: “... We are flying to Moscow - Slava Tikhonov needed a foreign passport, clothes, etc. They planned to spend the night with Nonna Mordyukova and fly to Czechoslovakia at dawn. Since Slava forgot the keys to his Moscow apartment in Gagra, we rang the doorbell, but they didn’t open it for us. Slava and I sat down on the steps and waited, sir. Here’s a neighbor: “You call louder!” Nonnochka is at home. She has guests." We call more insistently - deaf ears! Then Slava says: “And now I certainly won’t leave here all night.” Don't leave him alone! We go down the steps again and smoke... An hour later the door opens and on the threshold is a smiling “face of Caucasian nationality.” Nonna accompanies him with a shawl draped over her bare shoulders, hugs him, kisses him and whispers something in his ear. But then, seeing us with Slava, he turns pale. Slava silently goes into the apartment, collects her things and leaves just as silently. This is how Tikhonov’s marriage to Mordyukova ended.”
As you can see, difficult relationships developed in her family at that time. By the early 60s, her marriage to Tikhonov was outwardly prosperous and was ready to fall apart at any minute. This is what happened after the death of Mordyukova’s mother. After the funeral, Nonna and Vyacheslav, after 13 years of marriage, filed for divorce. Nonna Viktorovna divorced Vyacheslav Tikhonov when Volodya was in the sixth grade. They separated peacefully, without scandals, but with resentment towards each other. Like a real man, many years later, Vyacheslav Tikhonov did not like to talk about his first wife, Nona Mordyukov. After her divorce from Tikhonov, Nonna Mordyukova did not officially register with any man.
Death of the only son
The fate of Vladimir’s only son turned out to be tragic: his personal life and acting career did not work out. He lived only about forty years (1950-1990). By the age of forty, he had suffered two strokes. The doctor then warned that the third could be fatal. He died of acute heart failure (coronary disease) caused by many years of alcohol and drug abuse. The loss of their beloved son was the biggest tragedy in the parents' lives.
Volodya decided to be an actor since childhood. Successfully graduated from drama school. On the screen, Tikhonov Jr. looked like a strong and handsome young man; he played only positive heroes. But in life everything was different. At the age of 18, Volodya became addicted to drugs when his mother was filming the film “Commissar” for four months.
“I came back and he was in the hospital,” recalls Nonna Mordyukova. - I rushed there. He was cheerful and guilty. He admitted that Sashka Berloga had brought beer and “wheels” (pills)... He passionately assured me that this would not happen again. I believed it. I wanted to believe - and I believed..."
But everything happened again. And even two marriages and the birth of children could not pull Volodya out of the drug and alcohol whirlpool.
On the eve of her son's death, his mother asked him:
- How can I help you, my baby?
- Mom, bury me in Pavlovsky Posad (in the homeland of Vyacheslav Tikhonov).
- Oh, what are you talking about!.. Let’s be patient... There are intervals...
“It won’t happen again, Mom.” No exit…
And the next morning Vladimir Tikhonov was gone...
It was warm April 1990, nine days after Vladimir’s death. But the life of this strong woman lost all meaning - Nonna Mordyukova buried her only son. And now she has locked herself in the apartment in which she lived with him for the last six years. "Hello!" — she suddenly heard a familiar, restrained voice. It was the father of her deceased son - Vyacheslav Tikhonov... She said: “Hello! I buried him. And you still didn’t come...” She covered her face with her hands and burst into tears...
Once, after the death of Vladimir Tikhonov, several years later, Vladislav Listyev in the “Tema” program very carefully asked Nonna Mordyukova: “If I had not lost a child myself, I would never have decided to ask you this question... But how did you survive the pain from the death of Volodya? “I’m still worried. The pain still tingles in my heart. It was as if a stake had been driven into him. The pain does not resolve, does not disperse.”
Until his death, Vyacheslav Tikhonov mourned his deceased son and blamed himself for the tragic death of Vladimir. He almost never left his country house. When friends ask “how are you?” — Vyacheslav Vasilyevich invariably answered with sadness:
- No way. I'm living out my life...
The only place where Tikhonov occasionally went was the grave of his son Volodya at the Kuntsevo cemetery. Twenty years have passed since the day of his death, but until his death the father reproached himself for not saving his son. And he dreamed of finding peace next to Volodya. Perhaps the parents' divorce affected the child's psyche. For a thirteen-year-old teenager, divorce became a drama; he sought solace in the company of the yard. And I found trouble...
Vladimir Tikhonov lived only forty years. According to the memoirs of Vladimir Tikhonov’s first wife, actress Natalya Varley, from childhood he was burdened by the fact that he was the son of famous parents. He said with bitterness that he had become a hostage to their glory. Volodya wanted to become a lawyer, but, yielding to his mother’s insistence, he entered the Shchukin School. He was truly talented, his friends predicted fame no less than that of his father. Vladimir managed to star in only seven films. He played in two together with his eminent mother. The film “Russian Field” became prophetic for him. Vladimir played the son in it, and Nonna Viktorovna played the mother. It so happened that according to the script, the mother buries her son. Actors don't like to play death - they consider it a bad omen. But Nonna Viktorovna never even thought that she would outlive her only son, that that fateful scene would come true.
19 years after the release of Russian Field, Vyacheslav Tikhonov and Nonna Mordyukova buried their son at the Kuntsevo cemetery. Doctors declared death from heart failure. After the death of their son, Nonna Viktorovna and Vyacheslav Vasilyevich practically stopped communicating. There is a modest gray monument at their son's grave. On it is a black and white photograph of Vladimir. Nonna Mordyukova and Vyacheslav Tikhonov buried their love under this stone.
The father was proud of all the successes of his adult son. They starred together in the documentary film “Profession: Film Actor.” In it, Volodya played himself - he talked about his love for his father. Over the years, the elder and younger Tikhonovs became closer and closer to each other. The early departure of his son was a terrible blow for Vyacheslav Vasilyevich.
“He was grieving the loss of his son,” said actress Larisa Luzhina. “That’s what he told me: “I consider myself guilty that Volodya passed away early...” He couldn’t constantly be involved in his upbringing. And Vyacheslav Vasilyevich was worried that after the divorce, his son lacked his father’s supervision...
They forgave each other after 45 years
“We have no reason to communicate,” Nonna Viktorovna said many years later. “If we met in a movie, we’d love to talk.” So what? He has a lot of worries, he leads a social life... Well, we talked on the phone one day. We could talk more and more. But then you need to sit down, with some tea or some good wine. And then we can talk in full force about our life... The resentment remained with me for the rest of my life - he never, not once, congratulated me on my birthday. Sometimes the sun is already setting, and I’m still waiting for him to remember...”
She waited only 50 years later, when Tikhonov congratulated Nonna Viktorovna on her 80th birthday on TV all over the country and asked her for forgiveness: “Nonna, it’s my fault that I mixed up your life. I’m sorry... I treat you well, and it’s all nothing.”
Nonna Viktorovna also forgave and congratulated Vyacheslav Tikhonov on his 80th birthday.
“I congratulate you on your anniversary. And I forgive you too, Slavochka, for everything I was dissatisfied with. You are my only dear man. And there was, and there is..."
And before that I called him from the Central Clinical Hospital. By the way, Nonna Mordyukova, Vyacheslav Tikhonov, and Tamara Tikhonova (second wife) were in the same hospital. Tikhonov is in the therapeutic department, his wife is in the trauma department, and Nonna Mordyukova is in the psychiatric department. The Tikhonov couple were regularly visited by their daughter and son-in-law, and Nonna Viktorovna’s sisters came to see her. They were in neighboring wards, but Tikhonov was discharged two days before Mordyukova. She called and said: “Slavochka, dear, I respect you very much and send you a big hello and thank you for remembering me. I also confused your life, dear, don’t pay attention to what happened - what happened has floated away. All the same, you were the first, and you will remain the last for me.” She congratulated him on the birth of twins - his grandchildren. It's been a long time, really. Everyone spoke somehow warmly. I really kiss you on the cheek.” He only modestly replied: “Thank you.”
Nona Mordyukova recalled: “ It was as if a stone had been lifted from my soul. But I didn’t tell him about it.
Although we hung up, it’s not the end of everything. I remember him every day. How we studied, how we went on a date for the first time. Memories... You can't escape them. All this warms me up. Because this is childhood and adolescence. Still, Slava and I had a family. I no longer had a family. I remember him every day and thank him in my heart. And then I wrote him a letter. A small one like this: “Slava, there was a long line, they didn’t connect with you. So I decided to write... What happened, happened, but only the good remains. But I don’t want to remember bad things, they happen to everyone.”
From an interview with Nona Mordyukova
- You studied together with your first husband, Vyacheslav Tikhonov, and then lived with him for 13 years.
According to you, this marriage did not bring you joy, you and Vyacheslav Vasilyevich were bored, but, to be honest, did you love him? - I’ll say this...
(Pause).
Much water has passed under the bridge since then, he successfully married Tamara Ivanovna - she is 17 years younger and so economical... Slava always wanted a girl, so she gave birth to Anechka - a beauty, a smart girl, but it didn’t work out with him: he never went home Neither he nor I wanted to go. We are different people: I am a Cossack, bright, fighting, and he is a quiet Pavlovo Posad boy. How can I explain to you... In his youth, Tikhonov was somehow, in a good sense, unadapted to life.
- And you, on the contrary, are economical?
- Yes, what a farm!
We lived hard, we were counting pennies, before my salary I was knocking my feet on the floors - looking for someone to borrow a chervonets from... Well, I rushed to speak when this shop opened, in schools, in Komsomol organizations... I didn’t refuse anything, especially since it was useful for our country spiritually. They didn’t pay much—they’d give me four rubles and put in another 20 kopecks, but at least I brought those pennies home, and Vyacheslav, as it seemed to him then, was protecting his purity. He told me that getting paid for art is unethical, not spiritual. “Okay,” I thought, “but what if tomorrow there is nothing to buy bread with?” Understand, I’m not against cinema, serious roles, but if they don’t exist and the law allows, why not speak somewhere from the “Knowledge” society? In this I was probably more like a man: for the sake of my family I tried my best, pulled the cart, but Tikhonov was not... Slava was a gentle, good man, even, one might say, wonderful, but he had one drawback - he did not love…. - They say that you turned out to be his first woman and he is also your first man...
- It’s true, we got each other virgins.
- Those were interesting times!
- Interesting... When Slavka and I met, we kissed on the landings, hugged in the back streets. Sometimes I would come home, go to bed and think: “I wish I could make him a black corduroy jacket with a zipper - it would suit him!” Then, in the post-war years, everything was, as you understand, in short supply, but through friends I bought a piece. We went to the dressmaker, and the aunt insisted: “I don’t sew for men.” She barely begged her, drew the style herself... She made the jacket, but attached a woman’s collar to it - even the photograph remained... It’s easy to say: the first man, the first woman, but it only happens, as I now understand, that there is a fourth, and so good the family is shackled... Everything was done according to the rules, but... It didn’t work out, and no one is to blame for this: they weren’t suitable for each other, and neither I nor he had anything to compare with... He was silent all his life, like that Stirlitz . Slava Stirlitz is, only in the movies he is a man-flint, but in life he is a man-nature. He loves picking mushrooms, daisies, digging in the ground, planting potatoes, raising pigeons... He could sit for hours at a table covered with oilcloth and drink tea from a samovar...
— Tikhonov was a very handsome man, the entire female population of the USSR was obsessed with him. Were you jealous?
“Neither I gave him, nor he gave me a reason.”
We were very young then - 18 years old, we thought: since you started a family, behave well, and, to be honest, we were not so greedy, impetuous in love affairs - we perceived night vigils as an unnecessary burden. Were still underdeveloped... - In one of your recent interviews you said: “Now when I see Tikhonov on the screen, my heart skips a beat and stops”...
-
(Indignantly).
We made a mistake!
Those who wrote and lied - I didn’t say that... - Do you really not experience any emotions when you watch films with his participation?
- No, why, I don’t hate him.
He recently became a grandfather: his daughter Anya gave birth to two twin boys. — I heard that his wife Tamara sometimes calls you.
“It’s no secret that she loves to drink, and when she drinks a little, she wants to chat with me.”
You can’t stop her, but I regulate: if I want, I’ll talk, if I don’t want, I’ll hang up. She and I have a normal street relationship: not family, not close, but just acquaintances. — Today, on your birthday, did Tikhonov congratulate you?
- No.
— Were you waiting for his call?
- What are you talking about - he didn’t congratulate me before, when we were still living together.
The sun, I remember, is already setting, the day is over, I’m going to bed, and he… is silent. - But why?
- That’s his nature... There are people for whom the second person is less important, for them the main thing is their “I.” Of course, it was offensive when I was young. “I didn’t congratulate you again,” I thought, and the tears fell on the bed, drip-drip... Slava did everything in his own way and always silently. I once became seriously ill, I was lying down, the temperature was below 40, and he was going to football, who loved hockey more. Knowing what a passionate fan he is, I say, seemingly by chance: “Maybe you should stay at home, just so I don’t feel really bad, and my son won’t be back from school soon.” He stood up silently, shook his jacket with force so that it sent dust all over the apartment, got dressed and, without saying a word, left... After the match he returned home all out of breath, ran to the bed, knelt down and asked: “How are you? » - and began to gently touch my forehead... This is all he is... - Nevertheless, your mother loved him, considered him an exemplary family man, a father...
- Mom
(sighs)
didn’t love him - she’s seen life.
She was a simple collective farmer, but she was experienced and smart, because you don’t have to graduate from university to gain intelligence. Once she came to Moscow to visit me, she noticed a crack between us, multiplied everything and, when she was getting ready to return to Yeisk, she said: “Nonka, don’t leave Slavka. If you give up, you’ll live out your life alone.” “Why,” I think, “did she think that I should leave him?”, but something told her... And after all, I left him, and not he me. A few days after my mother died, I applied for divorce... - Nonna Viktorovna, Shukshin loved you very much and even proposed to you.
You, too, according to rumors, were not indifferent to him - why didn’t it work out? - For a long, long time, a Christian, humble understanding of marriage sat in me: honesty, devotion, husband, husband...
- ... one for life...
- ... and that’s all! I haven’t even cheated on Tikhonov even once, although I’m so sick of him (she rubbed her hand across his throat),
- I didn’t want anything anymore.
— Probably, after reading these words of yours, many women will be surprised: how could their idol become disgusted?
- Who, as they say, likes... Vaska Shukshin was completely different - I would have flown for him to the ends of the earth, if not for marriage: Slava and I were married then, our boy went to school... I met Shukshin at filming of the film “A Simple Story” - Vasya was young, single, free, nobody’s... He told me: “You won’t get along with anyone, only with me - we are made for each other,” and I myself understood why everything is like this for us okay, it’s on the set, why did things get together so quickly - in the sense of communication between the actor and the actress.
- Apparently, the origin is the same: he is from the village, and you...
- Yes, but not only.
— Common life?
- Not only.
There is very little of what you listed - there was still a strong magnet between us, looking for such a magnet. We lived in a hostel, and I always unmistakably recognized the creaking of his tarpaulin boots and guessed which room he entered. Vasya dragged me into literary conversations and kept searching with his eyes. "I'm here!" - I used to shout to him... We wandered with him through the fields and forests, talked about everything, he told me how he would write “Razin Stepan” - and from behind his boot he always had a folded notebook with a pen sticking out. But I tried to dissuade Shukshin from Razin - I didn’t believe that he, a non-writer, could do such a thing. You see, now I’ve written one book myself, a second... -Did you refuse to marry him?
- How could I not refuse if I was married? My Stirlitz never, as long as we lived, came to a film expedition - it was not our custom - but here he came: with a fishing rod on his back, holding his son by the hand... Vaska did not dare to approach me again - he took off and left.
Will death unite a family?
They were very different. Strong, purposeful representatives of the fair sex find it difficult to arrange their personal lives. There must be a person who will understand that all this strength is only apparent and that this woman needs both affection and warmth... “They came together... ice and fire” - this is about them. She is a bright Kuban Cossack woman, she speaks loudly and laughs from the heart. He is a modest, quiet, Pavlovo Posad boy. Mordyukova says that she and Tikhonov did not live, but suffered. Neither he nor she wanted to go home. But the child has already been born. And divorce in those days was a very reprehensible matter. Vyacheslav Tikhonov had a good family life in his remarriage. But with Mordyukova... “I got married, but only without a registry office,” the artist once said. “I’ve never met the right husbands.” They were beautiful, like gods, but somehow childish and failed.” She really had failed husbands - one had a typewriter for 5 years on one sheet of paper, the other told her every day: “It’s good for you, you’re a famous actress,” but he himself didn’t work, he sat at home. Several years ago, in an interview, Nonna Viktorovna said that she had a grudge against Tikhonov for the rest of her life - he had never congratulated her on her birthday in their entire life together. “Sometimes the sun was already setting, and I was still waiting for him to remember. I couldn’t wait…” Recently, in Renata Litvinova’s film “No Death for Me,” the actress admitted that she yearns for Tikhonov...
The death of the two great artists was very similar - they were sick a lot, often stayed in hospitals, and they died after 80 years...
Nonna Viktorovna died on July 6, 2008 at the age of 83. She was buried at the Kuntsevo cemetery next to the grave of her only son, Vladimir. On July 6, 2009, on the anniversary of the actress’s death, a monument was unveiled at her grave. The memorial looks like a black stele made of Karelian granite, on which two portraits are engraved - Nonna Viktorovna herself and her son Vladimir Tikhonov. Below are their dates of birth and death. The tombstone itself weighs several tons. At the bottom of the tombstone, the craftsmen engraved ears of corn as a reminder of the film “Russian Field”. The actress starred in this film with her son in 1971.
Vyacheslav Tikhonov died on December 4 at the age of 82...
