Childhood and youth

Denis was born into a family of famous people. His paternal grandfather Vladimir Sergeevich was an academician, and his father Vladimir Semenikhin was an IT specialist. The boy was surrounded by books, science and art throughout his childhood. Famous ancestors decided to raise him as a worthy member of society, so they carefully monitored his education.

Semenikhin attended Moscow school 123 specialized areas. From the 7th grade he entered the School of Young Economist, created at Moscow State University. Then he became more familiar with sports. The beginning of his passion for bodybuilding was watching a film about boxer Rocky Balboa performed by Sylvester Stallone. The boy wanted to have the same beautiful athletic body. He easily combined fitness and studying for high grades with participation in foreign language Olympiads. But it is not known exactly what sport the future fitness trainer was involved in in his youth.

After receiving his certificate in 1988, Denis, at the insistence of his parents, joined the State Financial Academy. There he chose a specialty related to economics and business relations at the international level. He had a clear predisposition to learning languages, so in addition the guy began to learn French.

The path to popularity

In 1992, Denis asked to be sent for a week-long internship in the USA. My parents supported me, not knowing that the guy would stay there for 3 years. Upon arrival in California, Semenikhin threw himself headlong into work. In his youth, he already had experience in auditing. But overseas, he worked as a loader, delivered fast food, and was a nightclub security guard with one goal - to earn money for classes at a sports club. The owner of one of the gyms of the World Gym fitness club chain noticed a young man vigorously lifting weights. He was amazed at the tenacity and determination of a young man who did not have the appropriate education, but wanted to learn the basics of bodybuilding.

He invited Denis to become a coach in his club. He worked there for 3 years. At the same time, within a year, the guy graduated as an external student from a medical college, sports department (ACSM).

First success

After returning home in 1996, Semenikhin took up management work in the Gold's Gym chain of fitness halls. The following year he was invited to write articles about sports in Men's Health magazine. Until 2000, Denis was an author in this publication and periodically published his work in Men's Fitness.

In 2001, his career as an administrator bore fruit, and the bodybuilder received the presidency of the Olympic Star sports club. For two years of work in this position, he was awarded the title of best manager 2003 (IDEA Health & Fitness magazine). Such success was not missed by Maxisport and Reebok, who offered Denis to become the managing director of these companies until 2007.

In 2005, Semenikhin tried himself as a TV presenter in a column about sports training, which aired on the Domashny channel. He was prompted to such an experience by his participation in the program “The Domino Principle,” which was hosted by Elena Ishcheeva together with Elena Hanga. During his trial work on television, the bodybuilder begins to learn the basics of acting at the V.A. course. Konkina. A little later, he improves his knowledge and skills under the guidance of Larry Moss at his studio school in Los Angeles.

In 2007, the first author’s book by Denis Semenikhin, which was called “Fitness is Easy!”, was published. Next year he moves to the Russia-1 channel, where he hosts the Phenomenon program. At the same time, he acts as the host of the programs “Body to Business” (TC “Zvezda”), “About Rugby” (TV Center). In 2009, he became the host of the show about fighting without rules “Fight FORCE” on the REN TV channel. Later he becomes the host of the “I Can!” programs. (“Russia-2”), “Sports Lessons” (within the framework of the “All Inclusive” project).

In 2011, Semenikhin tried his hand at independent cinema, with his participation a short film based on the game STALKER was released. At the same time, a second book entitled “Fitness: A Guide to Life” was published. In 2012-2013, the bodybuilder created two channels on YouTube, where he talks about sports and training. From 2020 to 2020, Denis plays the role of coach and expert on the analogue of the program The Biggest Loser on STS.

Real and creative plans

Since 2020, Denis has been actively building a business, promoting his nutritional system for losing excess weight and staying in shape. The line was called “Royal Diet”. It was developed with the participation of nutritionist Margarita Koroleva.

Royal diet - web magazine of Dmitry Semenikhin

Since 2020, Semenikhin began working in the “Rehab” project on the “Friday” channel. Its goal is to help overcome depression using training. He also continues to train those interested in sports clubs, release new videos on YouTube, where he shows how to pump up biceps, abs, exercises for the back muscles, etc. He plans to create a training and nutrition program for children and adolescents in order to instill in them high-quality physical development and healthy way of life from a young age.

In 2020, a third book with a philosophical bent was published. It's called "7 Questions for Humanity."

Denis Semenikhin training program

Denis Semenikhin his specific training program , probably because it does not exist, because in essence, what a training program is, it is nothing more than a set of exercises performed on a specific muscle group with a certain time interval, that’s all! Any professional will confirm this, which is what Stanislav Lindover did on the Myshtsy.RF channel. it is beginners who need programs, if you can call them that, those who have been training for a long time build their programs intuitively based on which muscle group they need to work.

Regarding training, Denis gives basic recommendations for both gaining and burning fat.

— To gain muscle mass, he recommends almost completely eliminating cardio sessions and performing only basic, that is, multi-joint exercises or near-basic exercises.

— For fat burning, the opposite is true, Denis recommends eliminating basic and near-basic exercises, regularly performing cardio workouts, eliminating the strength component in training in the gym and focusing on super series.

Of course, on his channel he shows exercises and their combinations, but all this is not absolute, everyone can vary and choose the ones that are suitable for themselves, both for gaining muscle mass and for reducing the percentage of subcutaneous fat.

Marriage to Victoria Yushkevich

In 2012, the TV presenter met a young ambitious journalist and blogger Victoria Yushkevich. The young people bonded over their interest in sports and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Soon the couple got married, but divorced in 2014. The reason for the breakup was the excessive busyness of both lovers with work, which did not leave time to improve the relationship. For a long time, fans did not know that Victoria Yushkevich and Denis Semenikhin broke up, since they maintained friendly relations, and the girl often remembered the bodybuilder in her videos and on the Karamba channel. Denis has no children.

I appreciate those days when I manage to do something perfectly. Even just starting the day as correctly as possible. After such a beginning, you feel an internal obligation to do as much creative work as possible, to spend the day profitably. I wish you a great mood!
