Elizabeth Olsen - biography and personal life

Elizabeth Olsen's childhood and youth

Elizabeth Olsen is a talented actress, born into the family of a banker and a famous ballerina. Six years after her birth, her parents divorced. The girl never wanted to be like her famous twin sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, but at the same time she dreamed of surpassing her older brother Trevor in everything.

By the way, Trevor was an avid comic book fan and subsequently helped his younger sister prepare for an important role in the film about Captain America. Lizzie herself was not even close to these comics, so she had no idea how she would play the role of the Red Witch. Thanks to her brother, she completely succeeded - it was he who gave the girl the most important advice.

Lizzie couldn't decide for a long time what she really wanted to become. While still a child, the girl did star in one film (“Funny Days in the Wild West” in 1994), but then, having been refused by Robert Rodriguez, she put acting on the back burner.

In 2004, the press actively threw mud at Mary-Kate and Ashley; dirty rumors and publications were published almost daily, in which the young actresses were given the most unpleasant epithets. After this, the twins made the final decision to leave cinema and take up fashion, and Elizabeth, shocked by the events that took place, fully supported her sisters and became disillusioned with the film industry. Perhaps that is why during school the girl bore the surname Chase, so that classmates would not ask unnecessary questions, and teachers would not ask questions about the famous sisters.

Elizabeth Olsen admired the sisters, but did not dream of following their path

While studying at university, Lizzie was very interested in art history. But, unexpectedly for everyone, the girl decided to connect her life with the profession of a realtor and even received the necessary license. But she quickly got tired of such a rather boring job, and Elizabeth quit everything without a second thought.

After this, the unpredictable girl went to Moscow, deciding to enter the Moscow Art Theater School. During her studies, Olsen studied all of Chekhov's plays, had fun during her student years, and even had an affair with a classmate. But these feelings could not withstand the subsequent separation. As a result, Lizzie returned to her homeland, and the young man remained in Russia.

Film career of Elizabeth Olsen

In 2011, after a 17-year break, Lizzie decided to return to the world of cinema. Her debut film at a conscious age was the film “Martha Marcy May Marlene.” After the premiere, many famous directors immediately drew attention to the young, interesting actress who played one of the main roles.

Therefore, three films with the participation of Elizabeth Olsen were released at once: the horror film “Silent House”, the comedy “Peace, Love and Misunderstanding” and the drama “Humanities”. A little later, the film “Red Lights” was released, adding to the experience of the younger Olsen by working with Robert de Niro and Sigourney Weaver. Elizabeth Olsen and Chris Evans dance In 2013, she took part in the thriller Oldboy (American version), the biographical film Kill Your Darlings with the famous Daniel Radcliffe, and the comedy Very Good Girls with her best friend, Dakota Fanning.

In 2014, Lizzie was lucky to play in the remake of Godzilla, and also appear in the cast of the superhero blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron. The girl played the witch from Sokovia, Wanda Maximoff, the sister of Aaron Johnson's hero.

This time, her heroine appeared as part of a team of avengers, playing well with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Paul Bettany, Scarlett Johansson and other actors involved in the filming. Personal life of Elizabeth Olsen

At the dawn of her film career, the talented actress built a relationship with actor and artist Boyd Holbrook. They met during the filming of the film “Very Good Girls”. In the fall of 2012, everyone around them was talking about their whirlwind romance. In the spring of 2014, information appeared about the engagement. The actor was seven years older than Elizabeth and really wanted everything to happen according to his rules. Probably because of his character, the young people broke off their engagement in the winter of 2020. After this, the actress was in no hurry to disclose information about her personal life, so as not to repeat the mistakes of the past.

What she and her sisters have in common is an incredible passion for fashionable clothes. But despite this, girls have very different tastes. If earlier Lizzie completely imitated her sisters, preferring sports robes and long hair, now more and more often the girl can be seen with short hair and in a more feminine look.

The Olsen sisters have grown up

The girl has never been on a real diet, and does not accept this lifestyle. According to the actress, she gets a lot of pleasure from food, so she cannot refuse her favorite delicacies. Despite this, the girl has an excellent figure, which she achieved through physical exercise.

Elizabeth Olsen without makeup

Elizabeth never had idols. She always considered strange those people who imitate someone and love madly. But over time, a small exception to this rule appeared - Michelle Pfeiffer. It was she who helped the girl return to acting.
