Childhood and youth

Dianna’s ancestors, as stated on American websites, come from Russia - the Jewish Agronsky family. Parents Mary and Ronald moved often, so the girl, born in Savannah, spent her childhood in San Francisco and San Antonio. Dianna has a younger brother, Jason. My father worked as a manager of the Hyatt hotel chain. When Dianna was 15 years old, her parents divorced.

The actress in Dianna woke up at an early age. As a little girl, she started dancing and ballet, later mastered hip-hop, and even worked part-time as a dance teacher. Agron liked performing on stage; at Burlingame High School, the girl became an active participant in theatrical productions. In addition to playing the roles, Dianna designed costumes and scenery. After graduating from school, Agron went to Los Angeles, rightly believing that she would conquer cinematic Olympus there.

Movies

Dianna’s first acting experience came in unnoticeable episodes in the television soap operas “Heroes”, “CSI: New York”, “Sharks”. The main role went to the drama “City Assault”. In Veronica Mars, Agron met Kristen Bell, who was at that time the idol of the aspiring actress. Kristen appreciated her co-star and described Dianna as “mysterious, friendly and unconsciously graceful.”

Agron later starred with Bell in another film, the musical Burlesque. The actresses were accompanied by Cher and Christina Aguilera.

It’s not for nothing that Dianna’s zodiac sign is Taurus; she persistently and patiently went to the screenings. Finally, it bore fruit - Agron met the casting director of Fox Studios and came to the set of the series “Glee”. At the audition, the applicant decided to stand out from the crowd and sang a jazz composition, and not like the others - a popular hit.

Only a few episodes with Dianna's participation were planned, but thanks to her brilliant performance, the character was made permanent. And subsequently, the heroine Agron, thanks to her immoral behavior, completely turned into the main irritant of the film.

Choir rehearsals, dancing, recordings, as Dianna recalled, lasted 16 hours, since the artists sang live in front of the camera. The phonogram was considered inappropriate, since with such a performance the singers had an unnatural facial expression.

The actress remembers her participation in Gwyneth Paltrow's film. According to Dianna, the Hollywood star is an example of an ideal woman who manages to maintain a balance between happy motherhood and building a successful career.

Dianna lived next door to her rival, Lea Michele. Michelle said in an interview that girls at work turn into enemies, and at home they cook cookies together.

In 2009, the actress made her debut as a screenwriter and director in the comedy “A Fuchsia Elephant,” where she also played the lead role alongside Dave Franco. The film was not released on the wide screen.

In 2010, Agron met Steven Spielberg at a charity event. The producer said that he was interested in the participation of the young actress in the filming of the science-fiction action film “I Am Fourth” about aliens living among people. The film brought the girl acquaintance with Teresa Palmer, Alex Pettyfer and Kevin Durand.

Three years later, Dianna formed an ensemble with Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert De Niro and Tommy Lee Jones in Luc Besson's crime saga Malavita.

Then the girl starred in the video I'm Not the Only One by British singer Sam Smith along with colleague Chris Messina. In the video for the song Just Another Girl by The Killers, Dianna tried on the image of the band's leader Brandon Flowers.

In the drama “The Novitiate,” which touches on issues of the Catholic faith, Agron played a nun. The actress portrayed a completely opposite image, tough and aggressive, in the thriller “The Collapse” (“The Jekyll Island Conspiracy”), which tells the story of a cyber attack on the American economy.

Personal life

If in a conversation with Dianna we raise the issue of her personal life, the actress immediately closes down and cites the biography of Lindsay Lohan as an example.

“She's amazing, but you see what happens when people find out too much about your personal life. They simply are not able to perceive you as a professional. I don't want anything like that to happen to me."

Perhaps that is why Dianna’s Instagram is not very informative in this regard - the photos there are work, staged or from friendly gatherings. There has been a lot of speculation about Agron's relationship with co-star Alex Pettyfer. The actress laughed it off in response to questions, only adding fuel to the fire.

The reason for the separation of the two stars, according to rumors, was Alex's arrogant character and his pathological jealousy. After all, the fragile blonde, 166 cm tall and weighing 53 kg, is seen by readers of glossy magazines and advertising brochures for which Dianna is filmed.

Later, Sebastian Stan, who plays Marvel characters, admitted his feelings for the heroine of “Glee”. The young people appeared a couple of times at public events, and after six months the romance ended. The list of conquered men was supplemented by Australian actor and director Thomas Cockerell and Josh Hutcherson from The Hunger Games.

The actress met her life partner in 2020. Dianna's husband was Winston Marshall, a member of the indie folk band Mumford & Sons. The couple celebrated their wedding, which lasted three days, in Morocco, at the romantic Beldi Country Club hotel. The celebration was decorated in oriental style, with camels, couches and carpets.

Agron switched from her childhood favorite ballet to strength training. The actress does not go on sophisticated diets, adheres to a vegetarian diet and drinks a lot of water. The girl has a thing about food: dishes prepared from different products should not touch each other on the plate.

Dianna supports the PETA animal welfare movement and advocates for the rights of sexual minorities, participating in charity fundraising campaigns.

In 2010, People magazine included the actress among the 100 most beautiful people. Agron is a fan of Tim Burton and Radiohead.

In the detective thriller “A Hollow in the Ground,” Dianna got the main role of a girl who took custody of her bully brother. The guy gets into trouble and is accused of murder. The sister begins her own investigation, but her brother has yet to be found.

At the beginning of 2020, Dianna was noticed in the company of Katie Holmes and Nicky Hilton at the presentation of Carolina Herrera's new collection, held as part of New York Fashion Week. Shortly before the show, an issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine was published, for which Agron starred in a photo shoot.

In the summer of the same year, the actress’s filmography was expanded with the drama “Berlin, I Love You.” The film presented several life stories, the main characters of which were Helen Mirren, Mickey Rourke, Patrick Dempsey and Keira Knightley.
