Matthew David Lewis was born into a large family living in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK, on June 27, 1989. Shortly after the birth of their son, Linda (nee Needham) and Adrian Lewis moved to Horsford, near Norwich. After the release of the first film in 2001, Matthew literally woke up famous, all over the world. Despite the fact that most of the laurels and audience love went to his partners on the set, who played the trio of main characters, Lewis began to be recognized on the street, and often forgetting his real name, they were called nothing more than “the actor playing Neville Longbottom,” and that was real success.
