Looking at his mother and brother, little Alanchik began to kick a ball near the house from an early age. While studying at school, the boy did not stop attending football training, where he honed his skills. Things were slowly going uphill for my father. The family didn’t have much money, and Alan periodically used car tires, masterfully bypassing them with his ball. Dzagoev's first mentor was coach Yuri Naniev.

As part of CSK

In the Russian Cup of the 2007/2008 season, Dzagoev saved his team, which was losing. The winning penalty was one of the most worthy shots in Alan's career. During the 2008 season, the promising midfielder played 29 games. In total, he scored 13 goals and entered the list of 33 best players in Russia.

Alan Dzagoev in the Russian national team

Alan twice played for the country's youth national team.
The first time was in 2009, the second time four years later. The footballer received his first call-up to the Russian national team in September 2008. Already in October, he appeared on the field, replacing Rene Adler, and even attempted to score a goal, but hit the post. Then he also came on as a substitute more than once in different matches, but he became a member of the national team only in October 2009, when the Russian team entered the return game against Azerbaijan. During this game, he and Andrei Arshavin managed to create a tandem and scored the ball into the goal. It was after this goal that Alan became one of the most notable players of the national team. He was able to score his first goal in October 2010, when the national team took the field against Ireland.

The footballer has already scored several goals for the national team. At the Euro 2012 Championship, the talented footballer was recognized as one of the top scorers of this tournament, scoring three goals. During the qualifying round for the 2014 World Cup, Dzagoev appeared on the field in four out of ten matches.

Change of coach

After changing the head coach at CSKA, Alan began to appear more in youth tournaments. In adult professional games he could be seen less and less. In the summer of 2009, there were many rumors that the midfielder was leaving CSKA and would play for English clubs. But with the departure of this coach, Dzagoev again began to play in adult matches and received a lot of playing time.

In the fall of 2009, Alan Dzagoev added another winning goal to his professional biography, which was scored against Wolfsburg. In early November, he was recognized as the best player in the game against Manchester United. In 40 matches, the midfielder made several successful assists and scored 10 goals.

Footballers about love and romance: Alan Dzagoev and his wife Zarema in the HELLO.RU project (4 photos)

Valentine's Day, which the whole world celebrates today, February 14, is most often spent by football players at training camps - preparing for the season. But, despite the busy schedule, there is also a place for romance in their family life. Shnyagi.Net talked to famous Russian players and their wives. They are young, beautiful, successful, and, most importantly, happy together - they have a lot to learn from this. How they congratulate each other on Valentine's Day, what they value most in a loved one and how to survive football training camp - in a special project by Shnyagi.Net. After their stories, you will want to believe in this wonderful feeling - love with renewed vigor. Our first heroes were Anton Shunin, goalkeeper of FC Dynamo and the Russian national team, and top model Katya Grigorieva, and Alan Dzagoev, midfielder of PFC CSKA and the Russian national team, and his wife Zarema will continue to reflect on romantic topics. Valentine's Day Zarema: Alan always attends gatherings on this day - I don’t remember whether we ever celebrated February 14th together or not. He sends me flowers, and I can buy him, for example, new sneakers (laughs). We do not attach much importance to this holiday. For me, this is the day when all the lovers walk around happy, and Alan and I can only chat on the phone. We always celebrate the day we met, congratulate each other and always go out somewhere together. This happens in early January, so we are together all the time - in this regard we are lucky. And, of course, the wedding day. We celebrate it together, quietly and modestly. We also go out somewhere for dinner. Alan: I’m never at home on this day, so I send flowers to Zarema. best surprise : Alan organized my birthday while he was at the training camp at that moment. I thought that we would just get together with friends for dinner and sing karaoke. When I entered, the hall was decorated with flowers. Alan prepared a video with photographs of our family to the song Aerosmith - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing, and he himself got in touch via Skype. It was a pleasure! One summer we returned from vacation with the children, and there were balloons all over the apartment - Alan was on the national team at the time and also organized it all from a distance. But to be honest, he and I are not big fans of surprises. Rather, we make each other happy with some little things. My favorite movie is Knockin' on Heaven's Door, and Alan arranged for us to watch it at the cinema one day. I watched it then as if for the first time (smiles). Alan: I remember how I proposed to Zarema. We came to the restaurant, I handed her the ring, and in response I heard “No!” And then she laughed - of course, it was a joke. But I still remember it well (laughs). Romance in relationships Zarema: For me, romantic is what is done for no reason - not for a holiday, not for some date, but just like that. Once Alan sent me flowers every day for a week - he just decided and did it. For me it was especially romantic (smiles). Football training camp Zarema: Alan always has a busy schedule, but the biggest problem is training camp when he is not home for two months. I guess I'm already used to it. It's hard and sad for me the first few days when he leaves. Then it gets easier - we have two children, so worries begin, and somehow we survive until spring. This year there were two breaks of two days between training camps; I flew to see him in Spain. It breaks up these months - even if it’s not for long, we spend time together. Much depends on his mood too. If I know that Alan is doing well at the training camp, everything is working out, it’s much easier for me here too - I feel calm. I also drive with Alan's voice in the navigator all the time. True, it happens that he leads me astray and an uncomfortable situation arises - I want to swear, but my conscience does not allow it (laughs). Valuable qualities in each other Zarema: I will highlight one quality, but the most important for me. Alan is very sincere. When we started communicating, I didn’t even have the thought that he could say one thing and think something else to himself. There is such childish spontaneity. Alan always says what he really thinks - then it was something new for me. I have never met people before who can behave so sincerely. Alan: I tell Zarema that every year I love her more and more. Everyone has their own pair, their own person. She is objective, tries to assess any situation very calmly, and is always reasonable. I am an emotional person, but she doesn’t have such outbursts. Zarema handles any situation very competently, she can choose the right words. She is always there, encouraging me in difficult moments - it’s worth a lot. Mutual support Zarema: When Elana was just born, I had a difficult period - a state of some kind of confusion. Alan supported me very much then, helped me in everything, so we passed this moment painlessly. Of course, he helped me with my second child, but with Khetag it was much easier for me. Alan: I'm glad that Zarema is constantly working on herself. Now she is slowly returning to the same ensemble “Alania” where she danced when we met. But I think so, she no longer plans to perform on stage (smiles). It’s important for me when Zarema is at the stadium - it gives me strength. After the game we talk about football, she always tries to be objective and is often right. But I won’t praise her too much (smiles). secret of family happiness : That's why it's a secret, so as not to reveal it (smiles). Alan and I love, if the opportunity arises, to go abroad for a couple of days - just to take a walk and relax. Not often, but a couple of times a year for 2-3 days we manage to do this. Alan: Family is everything to me.
Something worth living for. When Zarema appeared, my life changed. For the better, of course (smiles). The most important thing is that your loved ones are healthy - this is already 70 percent of a happy family life. The rest is as God wills. We try to give our children the right upbringing. If they grow up to be good people, it will be great happiness for us. PS Each of the heroes answered the questions separately and at different times. In 2007, a new stage in the player’s sports career began. He received an offer from FC CSKA. He played his first match for the club in January 2008. He entered the field as a replacement for Yuri Zhirkov in the match against FC Shakhtar. Dzagoev's name appeared on the scoreboard when he scored against FC Khimki. In the same meeting, he gave 2 assists.

The midfielder played for the first time in the National Cup in 2007-2008, but it so happened that the army team lost. After the 13th round of the national championship, the CSKA coach noted Alan’s progress. In September, Dzagoev made his debut in the UEFA European Cup against FC Slaven Belupo. Later, another meeting took place with Deportivo. In the confrontation with the latter club, the midfielder was able to score a double.

According to statistics, during the 2008 season the football player played 29 matches, scoring 13 goals against opponents . The next season was less fruitful. The player, despite his good height for a midfielder (178 cm), was rarely included in the main squad. The situation changed only a year later. But due to a violation of discipline, he was transferred to the youth team, and later put on transfer.

Alana wanted to buy FC Lokomotiv. After an official apology to Slutsky, Dzagoev was able to continue his career at CSKA. In 2012, in a match with Zenit, the football player played his 100th match in the Russian World Cup and the 150th for FC CSKA. After an injury in the game against Lokomotiv, the midfielder missed the first matches of the 2014 season.

He entered the field only in August, and scored a goal against the opponents in September. In 2020, the footballer missed 4 matches due to another injury, but was able to recover for the spring part of the World Cup. According to Vladimir Gabulov, a former football player and now the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of North Ossetia, this season Dzagoev fulfilled all the coach’s instructions without violating discipline, which distinguished him from the rest of the club’s players.

In 2020, Alan scored a goal against Rubin and brought victory to his club. At the same time, he received a serious injury, due to which he missed Euro 2016. Over the entire season, the footballer was injured four times, so he played only 15 of the 30 matches of the Russian World Cup.

Before the start of the 30th round, the head coach of FC CSKA announced that the midfielder would not participate in the Confederations Cup. In 2020, he took the field 21 times. But Alan Dzagoev’s injury in the 2020 season did not allow him to continue fighting for the Russian Super Cup. In February 2020, at a training camp in Spain, the football player received another injury. In a friendly match with FC Cartagena, he was substituted due to a suspected knee injury.

Games for youth

While playing for FC Krylya Sovetov, Alan received an offer from the coach of the Russian youth team. His debut took place in October 2006. He took the field against Georgia. The match was organized as part of the qualifying round for the European World Cup. The next meeting of the national team took place on October 15. The football player was able to score a double.

  1. Spain. Russia lost with a score of 0:1.

  3. Germany. The match ended with a score of 1:2. Russia lost.

After the tournament, many journalists and experts noted that only Dzagoev showed good technique and skill.

Main team

In 2008, the midfielder made his debut for the main national team. Alan received his first invitation to join it from Guus Hiddink. He entered the field wearing number 9 in the match against Germany. Due to his successful debut, the football player was included in the main squad of the team that was supposed to play against Finland.

In the meeting with Azerbaijan, Dzagoev played as a striker. He was able to earn a penalty. For his activity he was recognized as the best player of the meeting. In 2012, before the European World Cup, the football player was included in the Russian national team squad. The first meeting took place with the Czech Republic. Alan entered the field from the first minutes of the match , and in the 15th he was able to score a goal . Alan repeated his result in the 79th minute.

He was able to score the third goal against the Poles, but the Russian team lost in the decisive match. In the next European World Cup, Dzagoev played 8 matches, scoring 4 goals. In 2012, the national team was headed by Fabio Capello. He trusted Dzagoev more than other mentors. The midfielder was included in the starting line-up against Ivory Coast.

Having been injured, Alan was only able to play in 4 Euro 2014 qualifying matches. At the tournament, he took the field in all national matches, but Russia remained in the group. The midfielder was able to defend the country at the Euro 2016 tournament. The team performed under the leadership of a new coach - Leonid Slutsky. The team qualified for the finals. Alan, while playing in the Russian World Cup matches at the same time, was injured, so he could no longer represent the interests of the national team on the field.

Due to a relapse of the injury, Alan missed the 2017 Confederation Cup, but he was included in the national team’s squad for the 2018 World Cup. In the first match against Saudi Arabia, he was injured, due to which he missed the next 3 matches. He appeared on the field in the game with the Croats.

New seasons and injuries

In subsequent seasons of matches in various championships, Dzagoev distinguished himself with his professional play and explosive character. In the summer of 2012, he was given a red card and a two-match suspension in a game against Amkar. In the game against Dynamo, Alan could not restrain himself and hit a player in the face, for which he was suspended for five games. In the spring of 2013, in a game with Volga, the midfielder received a red card again. Dzagoev distinguished himself in the matches with a strong game with many goals scored and successful assists. He was named the team's best player and predicted a promising football future. During these seasons, the midfielder suffered a hip injury.

Football player during the game

In 2014, Alan was unable to participate in the start of the new football season due to another injury, only this time to the Achilles tendon. Entering the field against Ural in the fall, Dzagoev scored a goal and led his team to victory.

In the spring of 2020, the midfielder was remembered by fans for his four goals against the enemy and several assists. According to eminent coaches, this season was the best in Dzagoev’s career.

In the 2015/2016 season, the midfielder again suffered a broken bone and missed the 2020 European Championship. Alan Dzagoev has many moments in his life when he could not perform in important matches due to injuries.

Alexander Dzagoev (left) and Alexander Kokorin

Due to poor health, Alan played only half of the total number of matches. Despite this circumstance, Dzagoev still distinguished himself with his professional game, scoring goals in matches with Bayer Leverkusen and Tottenham Hotspur. But his health made itself felt and the midfielder was unable to take part in the Confederations Cup, as well as in the 30th round of games.

Dzagoev's conflicts with coaches

With the arrival of the new CSKA coach Zico, with whom the young footballer did not find a common language, he ended up on the bench.
Information appeared that Dzagoev did not plan to renew his contract with the club, but Alan himself denied these rumors. In the Russian Championship, the athlete rarely found himself in the starting lineup of the army team, however, in the twenty-four matches in which he took part, Alan managed to score six goals and give many assists. In the 2011-2012 Europa League season, he appeared on the field in eight matches and scored twice. The footballer started his next season with the club in the first team. He often contributed to the army team’s victory by making assists. Coach Leonid Slutsky transferred the football player to the CSKA youth team in May 2011. The reason was Alan’s insulting words addressed to Slutsky in the Russian Cup final and a violation of sports discipline. As a result, the athlete was put up for transfer. At this time, Lokomotiv became seriously interested in Dzagoev, who agreed to pay seven million euros for him. It all ended with Alan apologizing to Slutsky and being able to remain on the team.

FIFA 13 | Alan Dzagoev. Answers to questions The athlete became the national champion in football in the 2012-2013 season. The following season he was sidelined for three months with a hamstring injury. Fans saw him again only in December 2013 in a match against Rostov.
