I’ll tell you straight, I’m very far from the world of pop music, because I don’t watch TV (well, almost), I don’t listen to the radio, I don’t surf Youtube. And that’s why, until recently, I had no idea about the existence of singer Yegor Creed.

But, you know, some famous personalities reach such a degree of fame that knowledge of their existence penetrates the brain as if by itself, even if it has not given up on it at all. This is exactly what happened with Yegor. First I saw a large poster for his concert at Crocus City Hall - “who is this anyway and why is he performing in one of the best halls in Moscow?”, then I decided to google who sings in the advertisement “Oh God, Mom, I’m going crazy” - it turned out , and this is him... The culmination was a clash on the social network with a strange fan: on her page, absolutely insane messages to the singer were found, written in capslock.

I won’t make excuses, in a word, I decided to get acquainted with this phenomenon. Of course, it was clear from the very beginning that I wouldn’t like the music, so to get acquainted I limited myself to a few clips, a couple of live performances and one kind of interview. I consider it as watched only if it has been watched to the end, so that it is fair.

By the way. At the beginning of the review it says “provided for free testing.” I have no idea how correct it is to write this way. I actually got acquainted with Creed’s work through Youtube, without paying a penny, except for the payment for the Internet, in this way I definitely did not buy it or receive it as a gift from friends or family.

Egor Creed (KReeD) is a young (a little over 20 years old) Russian pop singer, Timati’s “ward”, the owner of an army of school-age fans, including those of primary school age (6-10 years old). Currently he has released one album and is in the process of recording a second one.

Performance: Egor mainly uses a soundtrack during his performances, which is very strange, since see the previous paragraph, it is quite enough for him to speak to the music, but almost half of the videos marked live are actually accompanied by a soundtrack, facepalming. If the performance is still live, nothing particularly positive can be said.

Songs : all that I heard told about the love of a guy for a girl. I wouldn’t like to quote them in the review; there’s no funny idiocy, like, for example, Svetlana Loboda’s, just ordinary stupid texts, I don’t want to pick apart the bones. Creed is the author or co-author of most of his texts, well, he is also not gifted poetically.

Appearance: light-eyed, white-toothed, Slavic in appearance, with large tattoos on his arms and chest. Subtly reminiscent of the “American Dream,” only with a hip-hop flavor. In general, there is probably no point in discussing appearance. Some people like it, I don’t, we can leave it at that.

Image: a “bad guy” with a kind, loving heart, who, despite the abundance of beautiful girls around, is faithful (or not entirely faithful, who can tell, but truly loves only one) the One Special One. In his videos he uses attributes of hip-hop culture, such as luxury cars, wads of money, girls in negligee. The problem with the image is the obvious contradictions and the “he will change for me” trope.
