In 1984, the premiere of a wonderful children's musical 2-part film directed by Vladimir Alenikov “The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin, ordinary and incredible” , which was very loved by television viewers. It tells about funny incidents from the life of two adventurous schoolchildren, Petya Vasechkin and Vasya Petrov, who are in love with the most beautiful girl in their class, excellent student Masha Startseva.

To some extent, the film is autobiographical - it includes real stories from the childhood of the director and his school friend Petya Brandt (he portrayed himself as Petya and his friend as Vasya). The comedy was such a success that Alenikov filmed two more continuation episodes - “Petrov and Vasechkin’s Vacations, Ordinary and Incredible ,” which were released a year later. The new film was received no less enthusiastically.

It would seem, what complaints could Moscow officials have about the plot? However, the picture came under an ideological ban: the leadership considered that there could not be such hooligan pioneers in the Soviet Union. The director had to use a trick - he invited the daughter of Secretary General Yuri Andropov, Irina, to watch “Petrov and Vasechkin”. As soon as the art bureaucrats learned that there was going to be a show for the “Andropov family,” Alenikov received permission to release it a few hours later.

What happened to the talented child actors who played the roles of the main characters?

Filmography

Druzhinin starred in the feature film “The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin,” which premiered in 1983. Afterwards, a continuation of the fascinating story of two friends was filmed, no less successful than the first film. Yegor woke up famous.

The directors invited the Soviet schoolchild, and then the student, to the cinema. However, having become seriously interested in dancing and choreography, Druzhinin increasingly abandoned promising projects. Later there were several more cameo roles, but they went unnoticed.

Choreography and television

After graduating from the institute, Yegor Druzhinin expected to work in the theater. The graduate was taken in by the troupe of the Leningrad Youth Theater, which, however, could not satisfy the actor’s requests, since he was trusted with minor roles. And then Druzhinin made a serious decision that changed his fate - he went to the USA, where he intended to study dancing and choreography. At first, the aspiring choreographer studied at one of the local studios, where he was noticed by the head of the dance quintet of the comedy club “Boater” and invited to join the troupe. The artist was a member of “Boater” for several years, after which he returned to Russia.

At home, Yegor Vladislavovich took up free creativity, which did not affect the development potential within the theater. The choreographer took the leadership of a talented dance group from the Valhall restaurant and began producing the ensemble’s performances, which became the hallmark of the establishment. Druzhinin also worked with famous figures of Russian show business, filling performances with unforgettable dances, which, together with the artist’s performance, made up a spectacular show.

In 2002, Druzhinin performed in a dance troupe in the Russian adaptation of the popular musical Chicago. The choreographer also paid a lot of attention to this genre in the future, and musicals became one of the main works in his career. Yegor Vladislavovich had a hand in creating dances in “Twelve Chairs”, “Cats” and “Producers”.

In 2004, the artist became a choreographer and director of numbers in the musical show “Star Factory”. Druzhinin’s work so impressed the project management that he was offered to extend the cooperation for another 2 seasons.

In 2008, television viewers remembered the appearance of Yegor Druzhinin at the anniversary party dedicated to the 70th birthday of Vladimir Vysotsky, and the tap dance performed by the dancer was called the best performance.

Egor Druzhinin on the show "Dancing"

In 2014, Yegor Druzhinin became a jury member and mentor in the show “Dancing” on the TNT channel. In 2017, the Russian dancer was again supposed to become the main character in the next part of the project, but on the eve of the launch of the 4th season, the choreographer decides to leave the television program. This decision surprised the producers. The organizers of the TV show said that they were warned about the man’s plans, but were still confused, and began to look for a replacement as quickly as possible.

The choreographer left the “Dancing” show for objective reasons. In an interview with media representatives, Druzhinin noted that he was simply tired of participating in the project. According to Yegor, he often had to experience internal disagreement with the opinion of the audience, when, based on the results of the next audience vote, it was necessary to remove a specific participant from the competition.

The famous audience vote against Dmitry Maslennikov came as a surprise to the jury member. Yegor Vladislavovich explained that he was unable to cope with the situation, which had become a kind of competition mode, and his worries about the project participants were frankly harmful.

Druzhinin’s employment in other creative projects, including the preparation of the 3D musical show “Jumeo,” is also one of the reasons that influenced the decision to leave the “Dancing” show. It was speculated that difficult relationships with other members of the show's jury, especially Miguel, could be the basis for radical changes. The press reported that conflicts constantly arise between choreographers, and complex relationships cannot have a positive impact on the project and all participants.

The producers searched for a new mentor for 2 weeks, trying to find an equally worthy judge. It soon became known that Yegor Druzhinin’s place in “Dancing” was taken by Ukrainian dancer Tatyana Denisova, founder and director of the JB ballet dance group in Germany.

It should be noted that in 2020, Russian TV presenter Olga Buzova appeared on the TV show, alternating in the jury chair with the “judge of the people” Sergei Svetlakov. The presence of a spectacular blonde on the project ended in a scandal. One of the show participants insulted the star, pointing out the unprofessionalism in evaluating the dancers, as a result of which Buzova defiantly left the show.

After “Dancing”, Yegor Druzhinin lost another project, deciding to leave the musical “Jumeo”, which he was working on at the same time, participating in a dance show. The director disrupted the premiere of the musical. Egor refused to work, claiming that the show organizers planned to implement the project abroad. In turn, the directors did not hide the fact that they dreamed of presenting the production on Broadway, so this decision of the choreographer came as a surprise to them.

Since March 2020, Egor Druzhinin has become a member of the jury of the show “Everybody Dance!”, and the choreographer is accompanied by other prominent representatives of choreographic art - Alla Sigalova and Vladimir Derevyanko. Olga Shelest and Evgenia Papunaishvili were chosen to lead the project.

The dancer constantly monitors his health. According to Yegor, a height of 178 centimeters is optimal for him, but weight can cause harm, so the choreographer devotes a lot of time to sports exercises and physical activity.

Choreographer career

After graduating from the institute, the dancer worked briefly at the Leningrad Youth Theater, then went to study in America and was a member of “Boater” for 6 years. Upon returning to his homeland, Druzhinin led the dance group “Valhall”, with whom he staged real performances on stage. At the same time, he collaborated with the stars of Russian show business.

In 2002, Druzhinin participated in the musical “Chicago” and also became famous for the projects “Cats”, “12 Chairs”, “Producers”. In 2004, he got a job at the Star Factory as a choreographer and director, working in three seasons.

In 2014, he appeared on the TNT channel, becoming one of the mentors of the rating project “Dancing”. However, due to conflicts and disagreements with other members of the jury, he left this post of his own free will. In 2017, he became one of the jury members of the no less successful project “Everybody Dance!”

Egor Druzhinin

Egor Druzhinin was born in Leningrad on March 12, 1972 in the family of the famous choreographer Vladislav Yuryevich Druzhinin . He brought his 11-year-old son to a screen test for the film “The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin,” in which he was supposed to choreograph dance numbers. The boy was approved for the role of the pioneer Vasechkin, having been chosen from 5 thousand applicants (even at the institute, classmates would call Druzhinin by the name of his character - such was the popularity of this image).

During his childhood, Yegor will play another significant role in the Soviet-American musical “Children of the World” (1986), which had great success both in the Soviet Union and in America. He will tour Russia and the USA as part of the troupe.

In 1989, Yegor entered the acting department of the Leningrad State Institute of Music and Cinematography and at the same time began to study dancing. After he completed his first year, his father took his son with him to California - in Santa Barbara he was offered to stage a musical. Already on the way home, the young man decided to have an interview at the Lee Strasberg in New York. He was accepted and even offered a scholarship. Egor studied there for six months, and then received a serious knee injury and was forced to return to Leningrad. It was a miracle that he was not expelled from the institute.

In his last year, Druzhinin married a student from his institute, Veronica Itskovich . After graduating from LGITMiK, he worked for about a year in the troupe of the Leningrad Youth Theater , and then went to New York to continue his education at the Lee Strasberg school. Veronica stayed behind: she was unable to obtain permission to leave the country.

How Yegor Druzhinin survived in America

In addition to the acting school, Yegor studied in several dance studios. He provided accommodation and education for himself by working as a loader, dishwasher, waiter, etc. Two years later, Veronica was able to join him. Over time, they began to work in their specialty - they taught dance to children and adults, danced as part of the dance quintet of the “Boater” , prepared dance programs for clubs and variety shows. After 5 years of living in America, the couple decided to return to their homeland.

In Leningrad, Egor began successfully collaborating as a choreographer with the most famous Russian pop performers - Philip Kirkorov, the group “Brilliant”, Natasha Koroleva, Jasmine, Valeria, Laima Vaikule and other stars. Druzhinin had already lost interest in cinema, but still starred in almost a dozen films, the most notable among which was the New Year's fairy tale “Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves ,” where he played the main role.

As a choreographer-director, Egor participated in the creation of such popular musical projects as “Old Songs about the Main Thing” , in three seasons of “Star Factory” . He staged musicals and musical plays (here already acting in the roles of choreographer, director, and actor), was a TV presenter - you can’t count everything! He is best known to the general public as a mentor and jury member in the television show “Dancing” on TNT, the 6th season of which began at the end of August 2020.

Egor Druzhinin and Miguel: relationships in life

The relationship between the mentors within the framework of the dance project “Dancing” did not work out initially. The situation worsened after the audience vote, when Dima Maslennikov had to leave the project. Druzhinin was not ready for such a decision, so he demanded to change the rules and leave his favorite in the show.

Instead of supporting his colleague, Miguel spoke out categorically and accused Yegor of being biased towards his charges. This quarrel was not forgotten and became one of the reasons for Druzhinin’s departure from the “Dancing” project. Everyone guessed about the tense relationship between the mentors, but they became convinced when they took part in the humorous project “Where is the Logic.”

In 2002, Yegor played one of the leading roles in the Russian adaptation of the famous musical “Chicago”. In parallel with this, he began working as a choreographer with various Russian pop stars. Among his “regular clients” were Philip Kirkorov, Laima Vaikule, and the group “Brilliant”. During this period, his career rapidly took off.

Choreographer Egor Druzhinin

Druzhinin worked on stage, but did not forget about working in cinema. In the mid-2000s, he performed several notable film roles, which strengthened his popularity as an accomplished showman.

In 2004 and 2005, he took part as a choreographer and stage director in two large-scale theatrical projects - the musicals “12 Chairs” and “Cats”. Both productions were a huge success, but Yegor Druzhinin did not even think about stopping there.

Interview with Yegor Druzhinin about the dances of Putin, Medvedev and the Patriarch During the same period, our today's hero took part in the “Star Factory” project, within which he worked as a teacher-choreographer. Druzhinin spent a couple of years on this show and left it only because of work on a new production. This turned out to be the theatrical musical “The Producers”. He took part in the work on this project as an actor. The role turned out to be successful, and very soon Yegor Druzhinin became a laureate of the prestigious Golden Mask theater award.

Personal life

Egor has been married for many years and is raising three children. The choreographer is an exemplary family man and an exemplary father. Office romances have been attributed to him more than once, but to no avail.

Fake: Yegor Druzhinin is gay

Show business stars are often suspected of being gay. Druzhinin was no exception. On social networks he was accused of having affairs with men, but there was no reaction. The choreographer simply ignored these kinds of posts and always left them without attention or comments.

Yegor Druzhinin's wife - Veronika Itskovich

He met his first and only wife during his student years. Student Veronica Itskovich also mastered acting and studied to become a dancer and actress. The girl is originally from Tbilisi, graduated from a choreographic school in her city, and came to study in St. Petersburg. I taught Druzhinin the splits.

Already in the second year, the lovers began to live together, and in the fifth year they got married.
After graduation, Yegor went to conquer the United States, and the young actress remained in Russia to wait for her husband. Having settled abroad, he brought her to live with him. After 4 years, Veronica became pregnant. Druzhinin insisted that the child be born in Russia. That's what they decided on. Soon a daughter, Alexandra, was born. The marriage produced two more sons - Tikhon and Plato.

The girl was on Yegor’s team as part of the dance project “Dancing”. An office romance was often attributed to the diligent student and experienced mentor. The dancers themselves ignored this topic and did not comment in any way in public. Such gossip did not affect the choreographer’s family life in any way. The wife is used to people always talking about her star husband, even if not always good.

Inga Ilm

Inga Valerievna Ilm was born in Leningrad on December 22, 1971 into a family unrelated to art (according to some reports, her father was a doctor and her mother a hairdresser). As a child, she dreamed of becoming a biologist, but quite unexpectedly she got into cinema. Her parents sent photographs of their daughter to Lenfilm and one day she was chosen to audition for the film “The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin.” Moreover, the final choice was made by Egor and Dima - the boys who had already been cast in the main roles. The director showed them photos of several girls, and the guys unanimously pointed to Inga. She successfully passed the tests and received the role of Masha Startseva.

Inga Ilm

After graduating from school, Inga went to Moscow and on her first try entered the acting department at the Moscow Art Theater . As a student, she starred in eight films, none of which repeated the success of her debut work. But on the set of the Russian-Irish melodrama “Staircase of Light” (1992), mutual sympathy arose between Inga and the director of the film, Gerard Michael McCarthy , which would lead them to marriage 3 years later.

How Inga lived in the USA

After graduating from the Moscow Art Theater, the girl went to New York and entered the famous acting school of Lee Strasberg, where she studied for about a year. Without any financial support, Ilm got a job in a restaurant, where she first parked clients’ cars, and then became an administrator. Then McCarthy found her. He invited Inga to return to Russia with him, to which the girl happily agreed - the American way of life did not correspond to her temperament and mentality.

They got married and soon a son was born into the family, who, according to Irish tradition, was named with a triple name - Jason Gerard Alexander . Their union did not last long - Inga could not stand living in two countries.

Creative career

In 1995, she joined the troupe of the Moscow Pushkin Drama Theater, on whose stage she played for 5 years, and then left the profession forever. Her creative biography will be stormy and varied. Inga worked as a presenter on television, traveled all over the world, participating in the international documentary project “Another Life” , the heroes of which were outstanding contemporaries from all over the globe. She was engaged in publishing (she opened a small publishing house and published newspapers and magazines), received a second higher education in history at Moscow State University , after which she devoted her life to scientific activity, specializing in the history of world architecture.

In the early 2000s, Inga married artist and designer Igor Severtsev and this time, the marriage turned out to be happy. She found her calling and her “other half.”

Children

Druzhinin's eldest daughter's name is Alexandra. There are also two sons - Plato and Tikhon, with whom the dancer spends all his free time from work. Children love family dinners and conversations, watching the film “The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin.”

The eldest daughter did not follow in her father’s footsteps, although she studied dancing and music as a child. After school, she successfully entered the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University and is seriously interested in linguistics. He does not talk about his personal life; he lives with his parents.

Tikhon Druzhinin, Yegor’s second son, is already 13 years old. The boy plays the guitar and sings well. He doesn’t even think about dancing, because all his thoughts are occupied with trains. He also plans to connect his future career with the railway. The youngest son Plato is already 8 years old. He dances and learns to play the clarinet. In an interview he says that at school he is popular with girls, just like his father. In the future, he is thinking about becoming a dancer, but has no doubts yet.

Family and children of Yegor Druzhinin

Despite the toughness and demandingness that Yegor shows at work, in his family life he is a quiet and calm person. Druzhinin relies heavily on his wife when it comes to household duties and raising children. Peace and tranquility reign in the Druzhinins' house; the family often gets together for dinner in front of the TV, where a program with Yegor's participation is shown. It is noteworthy that, despite the warm relations within the family, the children of the famous actor and dancer never fully watched the film “The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin,” which brought their father enormous fame at such a young age. Druzhinin himself does not find this strange, since he believes that parents should under no circumstances impose their opinions and tastes on their children.

Yegor Druzhinin notes that, contrary to public opinion, his parents never put pressure on him with their fame and popularity. Druzhinin notes that he always admired “his father’s encyclopedic knowledge” and his erudition, despite frequent conflicts due to his reluctance to connect life with dancing.

House of Yegor Druzhinin

The family lives in their own mansion in St. Petersburg. The three-story house was built on a plot of 12 acres in the Istra district, which Egor purchased several years ago.

On an area of more than 100 square meters there are three bedrooms, a dressing room and a bathroom. The kitchen has a cast iron stove, and the house has a sauna. The interior is classic, the cottage has become the family nest of the Druzhinins. There is also real estate in the capital.

Life in America

After graduating from the institute in St. Petersburg, Veronica insisted that Yegor continue to develop as a dancer. It was she who suggested that he continue his studies in America. The dancer listened to his wife and went to hone his skills in the best schools in America.

Egor had a hard time there. To study in the best schools and with the best teachers, he was forced to try many professions in order to pay for his studies. In addition, the man was forced to live in America on his own; his wife was not given a visa to enter the country for two years. But everything ended successfully.

In 1996, Veronica was able to join her husband in America. At that time she was a famous dancer in Russia. In the theater she danced almost all the ballet roles and was at the height of her fame. But the girl decisively left everything and went to her husband in America.

She easily found a job as a teacher at one of the dance schools. Later, Yegor began working there. After living in America for several years, Yegor and Veronica learned that they would soon become parents. They decided that the child should be born in Russia, so the couple left everything in America and flew home. They had to start all over again, but they didn’t regret it at all.

It doesn’t seem like enmity, but it doesn’t seem like love either.

Druzhinin rarely shares details of his personal life. The topic of his family is often closed to journalists. And then Yegor opened up. It turned out that there was a difficult relationship between him and ballet dancer Nikolai Tsiskaridze.

The former soloist of the Bolshoi Theater, to put it mildly, is demanding of Yegor. Druzhinin's wife is Nikolai's cousin. By the way, Yegor’s marriage is already 25 years old.

Druzhinin admitted to the media that it always seemed to him that there was jealousy on Tsiskaridze’s part. He was and is jealous of Nika and Yegor. The fact is that Nikolai and Veronica were strong friends until Yegor appeared, who unwittingly violated their idyll. And besides, he also became Nika’s husband.

Arrogant, but a genius, so forgivable

According to the choreographer, Nikolai Tsiskaridze took the union of Yegor and Nika extremely painfully and “was forced” to smile and accept his cousin’s husband. Yegor Druzhinin frankly told reporters that the star dancer constantly teased Yegor and made sarcastic remarks in his direction. This is his manner.

Tsiskaridze, according to Yegor, behaved this way also because in this environment in which dance artists move, there is a certain condescension from classical ballet dancers to dancers performing in the pop genre. And of course, plus family disagreements.

It was very difficult for Yegor and his brother-in-law Nikolai to work together - Druzhinin admitted this too.

Meanwhile, Yegor admits that Tsiskaridze is a genius who can be forgiven a lot. He also added that his wife Nika knows very well the character of her cousin - that he is not a gift at all.

Movie game

After returning from America, Yegor got a job as a choreographer in one of the capital's largest entertainment establishments. His talent was noticed and began to be invited to television programs, as well as to various shows as a choreographer. I had to forget about filming. Subsequently, Druzhinin took part in the creation of several paintings, but still dancing became the most important thing in his life.

After the birth of her first daughter, Veronica's career as an actress began to improve. In 2001, she was invited to take part in the filming of the film “NLS Agency”, then she worked in the film “Snow Leopard” and the TV series “Streets of Broken Lanterns-3”. Egor supported his wife and helped her with the child. He had to sit with his daughter Alexandra quite often, despite his own busy schedule. Veronica Itskovich also starred in the films “The Myth of the Ideal Man,” “Just Lucky,” and “Stepmother.”

Two more sons appeared in the Druzhinin family - Tikhon and Platon. Their age difference is not very big, so the boys enjoy playing with each other.
