The biography of the future star began in Krasnodar. Ekaterina Sedik was born on December 6, 1988. As a child, the actress was fond of tennis and also seriously studied vocals. Catherine’s pure soprano amazed parents and teachers. However, the girl’s main interest was the theater club.

Ekaterina Sedik’s career, as often happens, began on the theater stage. While still a student at GITIS, the girl played in productions of the Golomazov Creative Workshop. The actress has roles in the plays “Special People”, “Wolves and Sheep”, “123 Sisters”.

After graduating from the Moscow Art Theater School, Ekaterina was immediately accepted into the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater troupe, where she served from 2003 to 2008. Ekaterina began her film career in 2002 with the role of flight attendant Natasha in the detective series “Kamenskaya-2” directed by Yuri Moroz.
The actress’s filmography today includes more than 60 film works in multi-genre feature films and TV series. Ekaterina became widely known among television viewers thanks to the negative role of Rita Romanenko, through whose fault her adoptive father dies, in the serial melodrama “Fire of Love” (2007-2009). This role was not easy for the actress, since the girl’s character is very different from her heroine.
Also particularly notable in the actress’s filmography is the melodrama directed by Ekaterina Dvigubskaya “Beautiful to Death” (2013) , where she played the main role of the smart lawyer Dasha Strelnikova, who is possessed by the deceased blonde Diana. Three years later, in 2016, Ekaterina Sedik’s filmography is replenished with a role in the crime series “Bouncer.” This is a touching story about an athlete who made a mistake in his youth and ended up in a criminal gang. After another criminal showdown, Alexander (actor Gela Meskhi) ends up in prison. After 15 years, the man is released, believing that the past is behind him.

However, it turns out that the hero’s misadventures are just beginning: Alexander’s wife, Natalya (actress Anastasia Panina), managed to marry her ex-husband’s main enemy, the crime boss Gunya (played by Dmitry Maryanov). The further fate of Alexander, who got a job as a “bouncer” in a collection company, riveted viewers to the screens throughout the entire series. Ekaterina Sedik played Katya, the sister of the main character.
A year later, Ekaterina Sedik was invited to star in a 16-episode adaptation of Boris Mozhaev’s work “Men and Women.” This film saga, unvarnishedly showing the hardships of village life in the 1930s, was also loved by viewers. In the film, Catherine got the role of a girl named Varya.

Ekaterina made her film debut in 2002, starring in a cameo role in the TV series “Kamenskaya-2”. After that, there were roles in the films: “Northern Sphinx”, “MUR is MUR”, “Airport”, “Foreigners”, “Citizen Chief-3”, “Loving Do Not Renounce...” and others.

In 2020, the Rossiya TV channel premiered the melodrama A Decent Family Will Rent a Room, in which Ekaterina Solomatina played one of the roles.
Three women under one roof - grandmother Anna Vasilievna, mother Nadezhda and granddaughter Zhenya - have long come to terms with the absence of men in their lives and convinced themselves that this is even better.
But when Anna Vasilievna mistakenly discovers that she has a fatal disease, the grandmother decides that her 40-year-old daughter will disappear without supervision, so she intends to marry Nadezhda. And Zhenya should have an example of a family before her eyes, otherwise her granddaughter is already aiming to become a feminist. But only the groom should be his own - proven.
Anna Vasilyevna understands that her daughter, tired of constant guardianship, is unlikely to accept the suitor imposed by her mother, so she resorts to a trick. She offers to rent out one of the rooms to earn money to renovate their dilapidated apartment. According to the grandmother’s plan, the “random” tenant should be her friend’s unmarried nephew.
However, Zhenya, wanting to speed up the process, herself advertises that a room is for rent...

Personal life
Ekaterina Sedik prefers to keep information about her personal life secret. Journalists have not yet been able to find out whether the girl has a lover. It is only known that the slender brunette beauty (Ekaterina’s height is 175 cm and her weight is 53 kg) is not yet married.
