"The Crooked Mirror of the Soul"
Lyalina gained widespread fame after the release of Maxim Mekheda’s melodrama “The Crooked Mirror of the Soul.”
The film poses complex life questions: How to live if your brother sold you for debts, and your sister enthusiastically helped him? If everyone around you is pointing fingers at you and hooting after you, and your father and mother no longer want to hear from you? And the final push in the back that sends you to the bottom of despair is a false accusation of attempted murder. The only thing you have left from the warm and bright “yesterday” is a medallion given by your grandmother with a small photo inside. Maybe he can help?
The artist says about her participation in the project: “I was interested in the film script. For an actor, this is a real find. There are a lot of characters, a lot of drama, there is conflict, and the artist has something to play. This is good material for demonstrating acting talent. I was able to develop my role and that’s very good – I didn’t stand still. I wanted to make Olya alive, so that she would be interesting to the viewer, and not be lean. I don’t want her to be perceived as a victim, as an exceptionally correct girl. It’s already boring to see such ideal heroines.”
The ensemble for the actress consisted of: Ilya Noskov, Anna Kazyuchits, Ada Rogovtseva, Yuri Belyaev, Mikhail Pshenichny.
