Deadly accident

In the spring of 2014, urgent news spread throughout the media: singer Shavrina was involved in a traffic accident.

As it turned out, she was driving the car herself and lost control. In the accident, her sister Rada suffered serious injuries, injuring her head, and her other sister Tatyana, who was the artist’s program director and the youngest in their family, died from her injuries, which turned out to be incompatible with life.

Shavrina’s car drove into the oncoming lane on the Moscow-Minsk highway, in the Smolensk region. There was a head-on collision. A criminal case was opened against the singer for violating traffic rules, which led to death due to negligence. It was closed due to the reconciliation of the parties.

It is necessary that communication enriches you: at least it’s nice to talk to an intelligent person. I met with the composer Vitaly Okorokov for a long time - he’s such a head! A walking encyclopedia, he knows everything about world art and literature. We also had a great creative union. What kind of spiritual wealth will you get from having a boy hanging around next to you? I don’t understand women, honestly.

— Is it true that Fidel Castro courted you?

— He liked me as a singer. I have been to Cuba seven times at his personal invitation. He is a true gentleman, he knelt in front of all women. I was friends and corresponded with his assistant, translator and bodyguard Sonya.

— This is when my family and I were on vacation in Sharjah. We went to look at houses for sale, stopped near one, and then two white limousines pulled up. And I have five younger sisters, a brother (my parents left us early), then a son and two daughters appeared. Now that everyone is already adults, independent, living separately, it would be possible to improve their personal life. But I have no desire. I went all into creativity: my man, my love is only music. I don’t even know what a day off is. I sleep at most five hours. For me, not working means dying! — What helps you, as they say now, to keep yourself in good shape? - I don’t know what fatigue is. Recently we went to the dacha, and there was so much snow. The thought flashed - to hire someone to clear it. And then Lyusya took shovels and raked all eight acres. That’s how I felt…flying all day! Always like this. I’ll get up lazy, broken. You can wipe it there, put it away there, bend over, wash it. I like to do everything myself.

My daughter sometimes sends a housekeeper to me, so I’ll still change it in my own way. This is what gives the charge. It was hard raising twins, but I never complained to anyone. I’ll put the children and my husband to bed, and I’ll prepare dinner from the first, second, third, clean up, and by two o’clock in the morning I’ll be free. And at seven I get up and go to classes and rehearsals for five hours a day. After all, I graduated from the pop art studio, then from the college. We all went through a huge professional school. — By the way, why today has our show business slipped into “plywood”? — You know, for the first time I heard a phonogram about 30 years ago in Turkey, where the friendship festival was held. I myself am a fan of such artists as Beyoncé and Tina Turner. — Which of the real Western stars, besides Roussos, have you performed on the same stage with? - With many. For example, with the group Smokie we gave four joint concerts in Germany. German television called with an invitation. First we worked in the department, and then we sang together - “Kalinka”, “Moscow Nights”... - Do you have a beauty secret? — I don’t have time to go on diets. I'm for plastic surgery. This is the only thing I believe in - no masks will help. A woman should look good in any way she can. I myself, at the age of 38, had a facelift for the only time; somehow there was no need for more.

—Have you had any desired but unsuccessful romances?

- I'll tell you a funny incident. A doctor from Germany, a highly qualified doctor, chairman of the German-Soviet Friendship Society, began to seriously look after me. I even got ready to marry this Christian and met his mother.

He had a huge house, with a clinic nearby. But the absurdity spoiled everything. We haven’t seen each other for five months, and then he comes to Moscow with a group and starts cutting off my phone: I brought you a GIFT! But I still don’t have time to meet: March 8, concerts, terrible workload. He has already involved people from the district executive committee, who also call me, they are ashamed - take at least a gift, the person will leave soon! I found time between concerts, I arrived at the hotel, and Christian nodded to me so proudly at the coat rack in the hallway. I turn around reluctantly. There is a bag hanging, and in it... white canvas slippers. It suddenly became so funny. I guess I'm still alive. I immediately imagined the coffin.
