Biography
Dmitry Brekotkin, who shone in one of the best KVN teams, “Ural Dumplings,” lost interest in Alexander Maslyakov’s project as soon as he stopped playing in it. Having acted in several comedies, he fell in love with good, but not always funny, cinema.
“The best films are cartoons. The same "Shrek". And the actors there are perfect, because they are drawn.”
Comedian and showman Dmitry Brekotkin
The comedian does not laugh at the jokes that most people like, because he knows perfectly well what they are based on. But incomprehensible or obvious things, like a clumsy finger or a flock of pigeons flying past, can make you laugh.
Between the stage and the construction site
Dmitry Brekotkin in his youth and now
In the construction team, he met with the founders and members of the KVN team “Ural Dumplings”, who were just looking for people, and Dmitry happily accepted the offer to become their colleague. After some time, he had to withdraw his documents from the institute, since he constantly missed classes and was careless about his studies. But he didn’t worry and continued to play in KVN. To earn money, he got a job as a builder, and even made a career there, receiving the position of foreman. But it was difficult to work and participate in KVN at the same time, so after much hesitation, Brekotkin made a choice in favor of the team, hoping for the best. And he was right.
Childhood and youth
Dmitry Brekotkin was born on March 28, 1970 in Yekaterinburg, then Sverdlovsk. It is known that Dmitry has a brother. My father is an engineer, and my mother worked as a doctor for many years. No one confirms the information spread on the Internet about the artist’s Jewish nationality.
Dmitry Brekotkin in childhood
As a child, the future comedian played sports, although he rarely stayed for long. In high school, Dmitry received the title of candidate master of sports in sambo. In addition, his teenage hobbies included badminton and swimming, orienteering, alpine skiing and wrestling. It all started with boxing, which the boy took up in order to repel the yard punks. And after several training sessions, young Brekotkin stopped being bullied.
Dmitry spent quite a lot of time communicating with the kids from the yard, and this, of course, left an imprint on his character and behavior: the boy grew up cocky, and his parents were called “on the carpet” to school more than once. At that time, there were no prerequisites for Dima to become a well-known comedian throughout the country.
Dmitry Brekotkin in his youth and now
After school, Dmitry did not go to college, and therefore, upon reaching adulthood, he joined the army and served in the tank forces for 2 years. Returning home, the young man entered the Ural Polytechnic Institute with a degree in mechanical processing of non-ferrous metals. This area of work did not interest Dmitry: the choice was justified by the low competition for this specialty. However, the institute eventually gave Dmitry a ticket to the world of KVN, but this did not happen in the most trivial way.
Dmitry Brekotkin: “I hope there will be more time for family”
Dmitry Brekotkin is an actor, showman, KVN star, one of the main authors of the show “Ural Dumplings”.
“A few moments appear on the screen”

In high school, Dmitry received the title of candidate master of sports in sambo. In addition, his teenage hobbies included badminton and swimming, orienteering, alpine skiing and wrestling. Dmitry spent quite a lot of time communicating with the kids from the yard, and this, of course, left an imprint on his character and behavior: the boy grew up cocky, and his parents were called to school on the carpet more than once. At the age of 16, he was lucky enough to play in the film “Field of Iron”: “It was an epic story. Our class took first place in some competition. The youth of that time were extremely erudite! And so they made a film about two military comrades. Well, so we marched there as a whole class. They shot a lot of takes, and about 15 seconds ended up in the film. That’s when I realized what cinema is: you shoot for two days, and only a few moments appear on the screen.”
In the mid-90s, in a student construction team, Brekotkin met Sergei Ershov and Dmitry Sokolov. Sergey has been a member of the Ural Dumplings team since its founding, and Sokolov was the ideological inspirer of the team and recruited people there from various construction teams of his native institute. Dmitry Brekotkin agreed to participate in the project and did not leave the team even after he was expelled from the educational institution for poor academic performance and constant absenteeism.
After being expelled from the institute, Dmitry worked for some time as a construction worker and worked his way up from a simple worker to a foreman of a construction team. But when the time came to choose between work and the Club of the Cheerful and Resourceful, Brekotkin made a choice in favor of the stage, even if this decision was not easy.
Filming in comedies
In 1995, the Yekaterinburg team “Ural Dumplings” literally burst onto the KVN stage. At the insistence of the university trade union committee, the guys come to the winter festival of KVN teams in Sochi and, based on the results of the event, get into the KVN Major League. Here they will stay until 2007. Later they created their own show on television. It turned out to be so successful financially that it was included in the Forbes list. And as often happens, money became the cause of conflict in the team. First, the team parted ways with director Sergei Netievsky, and yesterday’s colleagues were suing for a trademark and millions of rubles for a couple of years. The TV channel on which the show aired was also drawn into the litigation.
“Let's put the emphasis correctly: Netievsky did not leave the team - he was expelled! Do you feel the difference? There were emotions, but the formalities were not observed,” said Brekotkin. In 2018, Andrei Rozhkov and Vyacheslav Myasnikov created a separate project, but promised that they would continue to star in the “parent” show for television. And Dmitry Brekotkin, Sergey Ershov, Dmitry Sokolov presented the new program “Husband for Right Now”.
Dmitry's filmography, for obvious reasons, consists of comedies. In “Scribblers” he starred in the role of a provincial poet, surrounded by KVN colleagues Sergei Sivokha and Vitaly Gasaev. In the film “Lucky Chance,” the heroes of Brekotkin, Andrei Rozhkov, Alexei Maklakov and Vyacheslav Myasnikov run away from home in an attempt to save the money they won in the lottery from their wives. Dmitry also acted as the creative producer of this project.
There was another film, but it was not released: “Once the director of the film “The Smell of Heather” Amet Magomedov called me and said: “Listen, I want to put you in a movie.” And I, like a seasoned businessman, said to him: “So: a day of filming costs so much.” And he answers me: “We have no money at all.” But I read the script and it was very funny. That's why he agreed to act. As a result, I filmed there for 4-5 days, and the project stalled due to the fact that financial flows dried up. We rented in the Moscow region and were given an apartment on the first floor. Below us there was a semi-basement room, a cat got into it and meowed there for three days. In the end, I couldn’t stand it, I took some kind of crowbar and dismantled the floor. In general, I got a trembling cat the size of two fists. Now he lives with a make-up girl.”
Dmitry met his wife Ekaterina in a student drill team. The couple got married at the end of December 1995, and in 1997 the couple had a daughter, who was named Nastya. In 2004, there was an addition to the Brekotkin family: a second daughter, Elizaveta, was born. Dmitry is an exemplary family man, adores his wife and children, although he often does not see them for a long time. Nevertheless, the Brekotkins refuse to move to Moscow; they are more familiar and comfortable in Yekaterinburg. In March, Dmitry turned 48 years old: “I hope that I will remain at least the same as at forty-seven: without injuries, micro-strokes, and so on. And also that there will be more time for the family, but the same amount of money will remain. I don’t know how this fits with the law of conservation of energy, but that’s what I wish for myself.”

From 1995 to 1998, the Ural Dumplings failed to advance beyond the quarterfinals of the Major League; in 1999 they were defeated in the semifinals, but in 2000 the team unexpectedly won the champion title.

“Pelmeni” never became champions of the Major League again, but they achieved the main thing: the talented Uralians were noticed and appreciated. In addition, the list of titles and awards gradually expanded: in 2002, the team won the “Voting KiViN” music competition, and also proved its superiority in the fight for the KVN Super Champions Cup.
In 2007, “Ural Dumplings” parted ways with KVN and began their television career.
Biography family
Dmitry Vladislavovich, whose life cannot be separated from the Ural Dumplings team, has managed to do a lot in his life. For example, he got married successfully. His wife was Ekaterina, whom he met back in 1995 in a student construction team. He is happy in his personal life, and his marriage has two wonderful daughters.
But more significant creative successes await this magnificent artist ahead, as he is full of plans and ideas. And Dmitry persuades his wife to give birth to a third child, because he dreams of a son. Journalists are happy because Dmitry Brekotkin gives a large number of interviews. The biography (he and his wife also communicate with the press) of this actor is worthy of both description and imitation.
The humorous show “Ural Dumplings” has become very popular thanks to the talent of its participants, who, although they have become celebrities, are in no hurry to advertise their personal lives. Agree, we know much less about them than about other stars. Interesting facts about the personal lives of the participants in the Ural Dumplings show await you further.
Sergey Ershov
Sergei Ershov also does not advertise his wife and children. Doesn't go out with them. Most often she appears in public with her television “family” - Yulia Grishina and Zoya Berber
Dmitry Sokolov and Ksenia Li
Ksenia Li is the wife of Dmitry Sokolov, like her husband, also a comedian. A member of the KVN team “Ural Dumplings” Sokolov, after divorcing his first wife, became one of the jury members in KVN and watched everything that happened on stage. Once, during one of the games, Dmitry Sokolov noticed a charming girl from Kazakhstan, whose name was Ksenia, in one of the teams. She not only joked wittily, but also sang beautifully.
Sergey Netievsky and Natalya Netievskaya
In the photo Sergei is with his fans. He does not advertise his personal life. Sergei Netievsky's wife, Natalya, has been living with him for sixteen years. In his interviews, he always tries to avoid topics about his personal life, and although he tries not to even mention her name, it is known that her name is Natalya. The Netievsky family has three children.
Dmitry Brekotkin and Ekaterina Brekotkina
Dmitry Brekotkin's wife Ekaterina met her future husband at a student construction camp. Dmitry and Ekaterina have been married since 1995. The couple have two daughters.
Sergey Isaev and Irina
Irina is Sergei’s second wife (civil marriage). The feelings arose at first sight. Sergei jokes that while working nearby, they could see each other through the window, but they met... in a club. It is also curious that Irina was once in love with him in absentia. Now Sergey values stress resistance and positivity most of all. While the lovers simply rejoice in every day they spend together. And they advise everyone: look around more carefully. Maybe your happiness is nearby? And on October 12, 2013, this couple had a son, Elisha.
Andrey Rozhkov and Elvira Rozhkova
It’s hard to believe that the merry fellow and joker, the soul of the KVN team “Ural Dumplings”, TV presenter and actor Andrei Rozhkov was never able to find a suitable bride for himself. Moscow friends helped me get rid of bachelor life. He was already torn between Yekaterinburg and Moscow, lived in the Urals, and worked in the capital. On one of his visits, friends introduced him to their friend Elvira. This was the future wife of Andrei Rozhkov. But then they were separated from the wedding by six whole years: they were getting to know each other, they wanted to understand whether they could spend their whole lives hand in hand. And now the Rozhkovs have two lovely sons.
Vyacheslav Myasnikov and Nadezhda Myasnikova
Vyacheslav is married and has two children. The Myasnikov family, like the families of all “Ural dumplings”, lives in Yekaterinburg, from where he constantly leaves for Moscow to work. Vyacheslav has to literally be torn between Yekaterinburg and Moscow, where he mainly has to work. The more time he tries to devote to his wife and children, returning to his hometown. Vyacheslav Myasnikov’s wife Nadezhda is raising twins – Konstantin and Maxim.
Yulia Mikhalkova-Matyukhina and Igor Danilov
In 2010, Yulia had a boyfriend - 39-year-old deputy of the regional Duma of the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk Region Igor Danilov. Now he heads the Housing and Communal Services Committee of the Public Chamber of the Sverdlovsk Region. For her thirtieth birthday, Igor gave his friend a ring. However, the wedding date is not yet known.
Ilana Yuryeva (Isakzhanova) and Dmitry Dyldin
Dmitry is Ilana’s second husband. The girl divorced her first husband Anton Yuryev. The couple met by chance in one of the Moscow restaurants. According to Ilana, it was love at first sight. Within five minutes of meeting, they began jokingly planning their wedding. And exactly a year later, Ilana and Dmitry got married, and recently their daughter Diana was born.
Films and television
Back in 2006, “Ural Dumplings” came up with the first developments for a future independent program. In 2007, the team created the sketch show “Show News”, which was aired on the TNT channel and was prepared by the team at the request of Comedy Club Production. The program was a parody of traditional news broadcasts with all the accompanying elements: interviews, inclusion from the scene, teleconferences, and was broadcast under the cheerful slogan “We have something to say!”
“Ural dumplings” in the sketch show “Show News”
The sketch show lasted on the screen for 2 years, and 23 episodes of the program were aired. Of course, Dmitry Brekotkin appeared in the show constantly, as one of the.
In some scenes, the actor appeared with a special onlay that replaced a tooth. Brekotkin never had any complexes about either his short stature (168 cm) or the fact that he was known to the public as a Caveman player without a tooth.
Dmitry Brekotkin without a tooth
Dmitry is in no hurry to get rid of this “zest”, but answers questions that are not entirely correct, as is typical for a comedian:
“I don’t know why I didn’t put it in - I don’t have time for it, I’m too lazy to deal with it, go to the doctors, they’ll put some kind of pins in. I understand that it is not good for health and looks aesthetically unsightly. But he’s not there – and I’m comfortable. Someday I'll do it. Probably on Monday."
The next large-scale project was “Southern Butovo” with Sergei Svetlakov. There Brekotkin appeared in the role of the main character, who came to Moscow to visit his brother and stayed for an indefinite period of time.
Dmitry Brekotkin at the South Butovo project
The format of this program was completely new for Russian television: an improvisational comedy show, no script. Alexander Tsekalo, the producer of the project, took a lot of risks, but Ural Dumplings managed to establish themselves as reliable partners and excellent professionals in the humorous genre.
Since 2009, the creative association has been producing performances “The Ural Dumplings Show” on STS, which is still very popular and loved by viewers. There were only three girls in the team - Ilana Isakzhanova, Yulia Mikhalkova and Stefania-Maryana Gurskaya. With the latter, Dmitry formed a bright “family” union - colleagues played spouses. In life, they were credited with kinship. A couple of years later, Stefania left the stage of the show for the cinema, and later Brekotkin followed her example.
Dmitry Brekotkin and Sergey Svetlakov
Dmitry's filmography, for obvious reasons, consists of comedies. In “Scribblers” he starred in the role of a provincial poet, surrounded by KVN colleagues Sergei Sivokha and Vitaly Gasaev. In “A Very Russian Detective,” Yuri Stoyanov and Maxim Konovalov were chasing the comedian in the guise of a murderous maniac. In the film “Lucky Chance,” the heroes of Brekotkin, Andrei Rozhkov, Alexei Maklakov and Vyacheslav Myasnikov run away from home in an attempt to save 43 million rubles won in the lottery from their wives. Dmitry also acted as the creative producer of this project.
Brekotkin has no idea how radically cinematic biography will change in the future. In this regard, the comedian admires Sergei Svetlakov, who risked trying on a dramatic look in the film “Stone.”
Showman Dmitry Brekotkin
Brekotkin has a number of memorable projects in tandem with “Pelmeni”. From 2011 to 2013, the STS channel aired the sketch show “Unreal History,” a humorous and provocative reinterpretation of some historical events and simply an entertaining show in an “antique” setting. The project successfully survived 3 seasons.
In the show “MyasorUPka”, “dumplings” were simultaneously evaluated and taught to young comedians to joke. Teams of 2 to 5 people were invited to the program, performing in different genres of productions, but in spirit close to the style of former Kaveen players. The winners received 500 thousand rubles in the finals.

In addition to being involved in other humorous projects, since 2013, Dmitry Brekotkin has been the face of advertising for the satellite operator Tricolor TV.
Television activities
Back in 2006, the team had the first drafts of their future program. A year later, they created a sketch show called “Show News,” which was broadcast by the TNT channel. The program was prepared by “Ural Dumplings” commissioned by Comedy Club Production. The program was a parody of news broadcasts, where all the main elements were present: interviews, broadcasts from the scene, teleconferences, etc.
The project was released over two years, with a total of 23 releases. Dmitry constantly appeared on screens as one of the leading actors of “Ural Dumplings”.
The next serious turn in the team’s career was the “Southern Butovo” project. There, Dmitry was the main character, who came to Moscow to visit his brother and stayed for a long time. The format of the show was new for Russian television; it had no script; complete improvisation reigned on stage. Producer Alexander Tsekalo took a lot of risks, but the team managed to establish themselves as reliable partners and professionals in their field.
From 2009 to the present day, the team has been performing productions called “The Ural Dumplings Show.” The program is broadcast by the STS TV channel, and the project is popular among viewers.
In addition to working in the team, Brekotkin worked in several other popular projects. Thus, from 2011 and for two years, the STS TV channel broadcast the sketch show “Unreal Story”. The project is a humorous re-interpretation of historical events. The program was shown to viewers for three seasons. In addition to working in various humorous projects, since 2013 Brekotkin has been working closely with the satellite operator Tricolor TV, being its face.
In addition, Dmitry managed to act in domestic cinema. At different times, several films with his participation were released to the audience. Among them:
- "A very Russian detective."
- "Lucky chance."
Personal life
If a comedian was unlucky with a higher education in his youth, he has something to be proud of in his personal life. Dmitry met his wife Ekaterina in a student drill team. The couple got married at the end of December 1995, and in 1997 the couple had a daughter, who was named Nastya.
In 2004, there was an addition to the Brekotkin family: a second daughter, Elizaveta, was born. It is possible that there will be another child: Dima does not hide the fact that he really wants a son.

Dmitry is an exemplary family man, adores his wife and children, although he often does not see them for a long time. Nevertheless, the Brekotkins refuse to move to Moscow; they are more familiar and comfortable in Yekaterinburg.
The showman has an official account on VKontakte. According to Dmitry, the administration of the social network does not allow you to mark the verification, citing the fact that there are few fakes and fans of Brekotkin will not confuse him with anyone. Photos of the Ural Dumplings participant are also published on fan pages on Instagram.

The show “Ural Dumplings” turned out to be so successful financially that it was included in the Forbes list. And as often happens, money became the cause of conflict in the team. First, the team parted ways with director Sergei Netievsky, and yesterday’s colleagues were suing for a trademark and millions of rubles for a couple of years. The STS channel was also drawn into the litigation. In 2018, Andrei Rozhkov and Vyacheslav Myasnikov created a separate project, but promised that they would continue to star in the “parent” show for television.
Dmitry Brekotkin in 2020
Nevertheless, having lost individual “fighters”, “Ural Dumplings” collects full houses in the cities where they come on tour. At the end of 2018, Dmitry Brekotkin, Sergey Ershov, Dmitry Sokolov and other “dumplings” presented a new program “Husband for Right Now”. As stated on the official website of the creative association, they celebrate holidays in advance, 1-2 months in advance. Comedians offered to celebrate 2019 back in November with the show “Garland Country”.
Andrey Rozhkov
It's no secret that Andrey left the Ural Dumplings show. Together with his colleague Vyacheslav Myasnikov, he opened an individual project, which gained enormous popularity. But few people know about the comedian’s personal life. Rozhkov is married. His life partner turned out to be an ordinary girl, Elvira, with whom the artist is raising three children.

The comedian personally took delivery of his wife. Once in one of his interviews, Andrei admitted: “We are not going to stop there. Three children is not the limit. After all, the most important thing in life is children. They will support you in difficult times and bring you a glass of water in old age. There are no problems with money. Therefore, we will be able to get all the children back on their feet.”

Irina also said a few words about her marriage: “Our children have wonderful character. They never get into trouble, trying to resolve any situation peacefully. We have a big friendly family. And this is all you need for happiness. My husband completely agrees with me. He often suggests that I have another child. But I’m not ready to take this step yet.”
