Our first meeting with Lyalya left a deep mark. I’ll omit the details, but to say that I was simply shocked is to say nothing, I was speechless. A charming, extravagant young woman with a fiery mane, in incredible boots, in something leopard print appeared in front of me and finished me off with a grazing “r”. Now Lyalya works a lot, at the moment I counted about five releases of her performances almost simultaneously: in Sovremennik, in the Baltic House, two performances at the Satire Theater on Vasilyevsky, where she is the main artist, and something yet... In general, horror! And who do you think cooks borscht in our family?

Lyalya and I had Eva 13 years ago. In my opinion, she has, if not talent, then certainly ability and a taste for words. And there is someone - her ancestors on her mother’s side are the poet-philosopher Alexander Nikolaevich Radishchev. But for now she is more fascinated by the Internet space, and her poetic gift is not yet in demand.

I also have a son, Ivan, from my first marriage, who is already an adult young man and has been living independently for a long time. He is a Post Theater actor. Theatrical avant-garde, so to speak, in the literal and figurative sense. While they are convinced that the time of Trigorin (the central character of Chekhov’s comedy “The Seagull”) is over...
