The area still contains the remains of ancient castles, estates, and fortresses that once defended the borders of various principalities. It was in this town on the right bank of the Dnieper at the turn of Soviet times that the boy Seryozha was born into the family of a military man, Valery Anatolyevich, and a bank worker, Svetlana Volchkov.

At that time, his six-year-old brother Volodya was already growing up, the family’s income was average, and the future baritone had to grow up in ordinary, Soviet conditions. And so it happened - the boy spent a lot of time on the street with the guys, behaved moderately, but noticeably. More than one window was broken in hot football battles, more than one strip of dead wood burned down, set on fire by young Bykhov residents. In the end, Svetlana Leonidovna, Seryozha’s mother, talked to his father, and the parents sent their son to study piano at a local music school.
At first, playing with a ball attracted the newly minted pianist more; he went to music classes only so as not to be scolded by his parents, regularly skipping the uninteresting solfeggio. However, the lessons began to bear fruit - good piano playing appeared, and the boy developed a true interest in all this. He even joined the choir, and soon sang along with everyone else with great pleasure. However, he didn’t give up street games. I just reduced their intensity.
The boy's progress was noticed by the school music teacher. Lyudmila Nikolaevna insisted that Seryozha go and audition in the regional Mogilev. The student made excuses for a long time and had doubts, especially about the missed lessons. The teacher persuaded the student and began giving him individual lessons. Sergei did not get any points on the exam. However, the examiners heard his abilities and offered him a paid faculty.
Mom immediately waved her hands, the eldest Vova was already studying at a paid university, my parents wouldn’t be able to handle two commercial universities! And Seryoga was already so passionate about music that he couldn’t imagine life without proper training. It was agreed that the son would be given a year of parental support, during which he would have to independently transfer to a free faculty. The son kept his word, and since then no one could blame him for not trying hard enough, neither at his native school, nor at GITIS, where the student will definitely make his way.

Sergei set off to conquer the capital of Russia together with his first wife Alina. They met in Mogilev, the girl played the violin. When Volkov entered GITIS, Alina failed. The girl hoped that her husband would immediately become a famous artist, but he had to chase part-time jobs. As a result, quarrels, mistrust, and resentment began in the family. One day the couple sat down, talked and then filed for divorce.

I rushed there and made it just in time for the last round. The examiners were unfriendly, the applicant was late, and openly stated that he did not know the notes. The hit was direct - the famous Tamara Ilyinichna Sinyavskaya, who took the exam, warmed up, asked to sing more, and then with a smile announced that the singer was allowed to study.
The future winner of the show “The Voice” studied at GITIS for 5 years. Studying was good, but life was difficult. There weren’t enough funds, the student’s family couldn’t keep up with the Moscow order, although the family helped as best they could. Sergei managed to get married, he had to support himself and his wife. The marriage was unsuccessful, everything did not go as planned. The owner of a chic baritone had to earn money in his free time as Santa Claus at corporate events, and as a clown-animator at children's parties. On the day when approval to participate in the most vociferous show in the country came, its future winner was visiting his place in Belarus on an away fishing trip. Just yesterday he caught a 20-kilogram catfish, and the message about the selection was at first lost in the anticipation of continuing the hot fishing. Reason, nevertheless, prevailed, the fisherman came to his senses, got ready and went to the casting audition.
The whole country knows what happened next. Sergei Volchkov did the incredible - with the unfashionable genre of operetta, he beat all the other participants of the season, amazed the jury and the audience with his incredible baritone voice and impeccable academic performance. The winner became a real star quickly and irrevocably. Fame, luxurious projects, and prosperity fell upon him as a reward for many years of work and faith in luck.
Today, the baritone is free to choose the proposals he likes, he is actively engaged in what he loves, and his concerts always attract full houses.
