— Viewers associate me with interesting and bright images, and not with operas! (Laughs.) Look at my filmography - there are more than 50 works in films of all genres. In this sense, I was lucky in my profession. I am not offended by the roles: there are many diverse roles - both comedic and dramatic, and, importantly, they were all highly rated. — Almost all the energy and time were spent there, at the Matrosov Theater. My main occupation. “The most important thing, in my opinion, is to convey love to children. They must be surrounded by it. Now, if they say that you need to educate with carrots and sticks, then I am more of a gingerbread father. And our mother too. I was raised the same way: I didn’t know what it was to be beaten. My father and mother never raised a hand against me. I want to pass on my love to the children so that they continue to love this world, people, and loved ones. And the rest is by example. There is no better recipe.
— How much do you manage to extinguish the temperament of two sons with love? After all, two boys in the house is always a fire.
- I think it’s possible. Of course, all parents are different. But we are gingerbread. I can't be a strict father. Perhaps this is a minus. Probably, due to the softness, I do not put some restrictions on them too convincingly. Maybe. Only time will tell how they will grow and what I managed to put into them. I try by example. I love to build, I like to do things around the house with my own hands, and I call Fedya (the son from his current marriage to lawyer Olga Golovina. - Author) and Vanka (the son from a previous marriage to actress Maria Kulikova. - Author). Either clear the snow, or do something else. They are already coming and asking how to help. This cannot be introduced by force. I ate, washed the dishes after myself, and put them back. - Yes. I wanted all my relatives to live in it. One big family. But it turned out that this was impossible, so he “killed” him. This is a big mistake. Gathering everyone under one roof is a utopia! I grew up in a family where 12 people gathered at the table, and I wanted it to be the same for us. Apparently, we were children then and didn’t see much. Then everyone left anyway... The most ideal thing is to live nearby, but each family is on its own territory. It’s better to have many small houses and apartments nearby than one big house for everyone.
- There is a house, sons too. How are things going with the tree?
- There is a tree, and even a fireplace. At the age of 19, he built a small wooden house near Tver on a plot that went to his mother. I laid out the fireplace. And he planted trees - a whole garden!
