Actress Polya Polyakova: “How I married Alexander Khinshtein”

Actress Lyudmila Polyakova: the beginning of the journey

The People's Artist of Russia was born in Moscow in January 1939. Actress Lyudmila Polyakova was born into an ordinary family; she has no famous relatives. The girl was barely two years old when she went with her mother to Murom. The future star spent his childhood in this city, and it happened during the difficult post-war years.

Lyudmila’s dreams of an acting profession did not appear immediately. The girl had complexes due to her height, which was 176 cm. It is known that in high school she dreamed of becoming an oceanographer. After graduating from school, Polyakova moved to Odessa and entered one of the local universities. She combined her studies at the institute with studying shorthand and French.

Music career

Thanks to her father, Olya Polyakova got her first music producer. This was the director of KM-Studio Irina Kovalskaya. The company was engaged in television production, and it was here that several videos were shot for Olga Polyakova, and her first album was also recorded. After this, the girl began performing at corporate parties and various events. Then on tour Polyakova received 15 dollars for one concert. This money was not enough for anything, so the girl decided to take steps to earn additional income and opened her own business - an event agency.

Soon, Olya Polyakova’s agency organized events throughout the Vinnitsa region, as well as in other cities, which allowed Polyakova to even earn money for a personal car. Polyakova left the University of Culture and Arts and entered the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the vocal department. It was then that at one of the events where the singer performed, she met her future husband Vadim.

Music career

It was Vadim who became the one who believed that Olga Polyakova would become a star. He supported all her ideas and endeavors in her musical career, helped in everything, looked for the right people, paid for the filming of video clips, radio rotation, and even arranged for Polyakova to participate in the New Wave competition. But fame did not come. According to Olya Polyakova, you can’t earn fame with money alone, even with such a “golden” husband. For a song to become a hit, it must ideally suit the artist, his image, be organic in his performance and be “catchy.” The singer did not immediately realize this.

According to her, for about 5 years she worked “at the table.” I recorded songs that no one had ever heard, filmed video clips that no one watched. It was as if she could not yet find her way, come to any specific stage image.

But then, having tried herself in the role of a lyrical singer, Olga Polyakova realized that this was not her thing. Since childhood, she has been a “prankster”, the soul of any company, a conversational artist and a great lover of jokes. Therefore, having reduced all her qualities and talents to a common denominator, Polyakova came up with the image of the Super Blonde - a cheerful, cheerful singer in bright, shocking outfits. The television people immediately liked this image, and Olya began to be invited to various talk shows and programs. But the songs still did not become hits.

Polyakova gained popularity as a singer of national scale when she created a Russian style with a kokoshnik with producer Mikhail Yasinsky and sang the song “Slaps.” By the way, I shot the video for the song by borrowing money, since my husband had financial problems at that time due to the crisis. A few months later, when the hit “Slaps” was heard on every corner, Polyakova began to be actively invited to tour, and her earnings finally showed tangible weight.

After the start of the military conflict with Russia, Polyakova abandoned kokoshniks, although since then any of her headdresses has been called a kokoshnik and in each of the videos she appears in a new bright image.

Choosing a life path

One day, future actress Lyudmila Polyakova went to Moscow to visit her parents. By chance, the girl found herself next to the Shchepkinsky School and noticed an advertisement for the recruitment of students. She applied and got in on the first try, managing to charm the admissions committee. It is known that Yuri Solomin especially insisted on her admission.

Her student years flew by unnoticed, as Lyudmila devoted almost all her time to studies. She had a period of doubts about her talent, but the support of her teachers helped her overcome them. Polyakova successfully graduated from the Shchepkinsky School in 1964.

But her difference from others in this case became a great success for Polyakova - the textured girl was enrolled in the first year, and after graduating from the university, she was assigned to the theater on Malaya Bronnaya, where she worked for only a year.

"Inspector"

Then the actress transferred to the theater. Stanislavsky, which appeared on stage for seventeen seasons. Later there were the Taganka Theater and the School of Dramatic Art, until she came to Maly, with which Lyudmila Polyakova’s creative biography is connected to this day.

She entered music school on her own and simply informed her grandmother that she would need to pay for the classes. It seems that no one believed in the seriousness of the girl’s intentions in terms of music, since they bought her a piano only in her second year of study. She spent hours practicing music and even suffered a wrist injury.

When Olya Polyakova turned 14 years old, she entered the Vinnytsia Leontovich Music School to study the conducting choral department.

The teacher recognized the good vocal abilities of the future singer and accepted her into the only department with vocals. Olya Polyakova prepared for the entrance exams herself, finding teachers for herself. The parents found out that their daughter had entered a music school and were simply amazed, because they wanted a completely different future for their daughter. Olga’s mother predicted a great future for her in medicine and was going to send her to medical school, and therefore even went to pick up the documents submitted by Olya from the music school, but the director of the institution dissuaded her, citing the girl’s unique abilities.

In the early 80s, the film “The Mistress of the Orphanage” with Natalya Gundareva and Lyudmila Polyakova in the leading roles was released on the screens of the country. According to the audience, they did not play, but lived the destinies of their characters. Polyakova’s heroine, the lonely and unhappy Ksenia Ryabtseva, made an irreparable mistake in her youth, leaving her child in an orphanage. The actress loved this role very much and sincerely sympathized with Ryabtseva.

“Yes, you fool, yes, it’s your own fault. But then she realized, albeit late, she realized what she had done. And it's already late. And she has no one to blame but herself, living with the understanding that she did it with her own hands and punished herself in the end. I’m very sorry for her!” she said.

Lyudmila Polyakova tried to understand the motive for her action, which was not easy to do. Polyakova herself was able to experience the joy of motherhood after going through difficult trials.

FROM “KLOPOVNICHKOV” TO AN ACTING CAREER

Lyudmila grew up in a very poor family on the outskirts of Moscow: post-war, the girl did not know her father. The childhood of the future prima of the Maly Theater and the star of the audience’s favorite films “Citizen Nikanorova is Waiting for You,” “The Ascension” and “High Security Vacation” was not easy.

“We had to buy products that were not of the highest quality—meat trimmings, apples with barrels,” she recalled. The girl wanted to escape from the hopeless situation that surrounded her: “The places where we lived were popularly called “bedbug infestations”; there was practically no way out of them. Out of hopelessness, men in bedbug shelters drank themselves to death, women made money through prostitution...”

She admitted that at first she was afraid to think about an acting career. Theater and cinema seemed like a pipe dream, and the actors seemed like celestial beings. Her own height of 176 centimeters seemed to her an obstacle to her dream. She kept her experiences to herself and many years later admitted:

“At that time, my height seemed unthinkable. It's like now, probably a couple of meters. Can you imagine: Moscow, about fifty-five to fifty-seven years ago, I’m such a stalwart. At school I was taller than everyone else, taller than teachers, taller than my parents’ friends... I got on a tram or a bus, and every time I was embarrassed.”

The girl decided to take a risk, and she was right. This is confirmed by the long-term love of the audience, who are looking forward to the release of performances and films with the participation of their favorite actress.

TWO MARRIAGES

They lived with their first husband, actor Vasily Bochkarev, for almost eight years, but they never had children together. The couple broke up, maintaining a warm relationship. According to the actress, they are even divorcing. Subsequently, Bochkarev married and became a father.

They continue to meet with Lyudmila on the theater stage. The ex-husband speaks of his first beloved woman with gratitude, calling her a real beauty and a very strong personality.

The long-awaited son was born to Polyakova in her second marriage. A beautiful romance with a handsome pilot ended in a wedding. “He was insanely good. Almost two meters tall. But at the same time he was silent, he just looked at me and gave me flowers. I didn’t have enough pots and jars - I didn’t know where to put the flowers. I lived in some kind of Garden of Eden,” she says.

The union turned out to be short-lived, but the actress did not have any special regrets because of the separation: for the 34-year-old woman, the child became the main meaning of life.

“We weren’t scheduled when I got pregnant - it was a surprise. For some reason I decided that I couldn’t stand it, I’m almost 34 years old. Then I decided to sign with the child’s father. As soon as I gave birth to Vanka, he was infected with staphylococci. It was very scary,” the artist recalls.

The doctors managed to cure little Ivan, but fear for him forever settled in the actress’s soul.

“I FALL IN LOVE WITH THE TALENT!”

Having parted with the father of her only son, Lyudmila Petrovna never married again. However, she experienced several vivid novels, which were very difficult for the actress.

Polyakova truly fell in love with the famous director Andrei Smirnov: “For me, the very moment of sitting, looking at him and listening to him - there was nothing higher than this,” said the artist. This relationship had a tragic impact on her fate.

Andrei Smirnov was married, and therefore the affair quickly ended. Lyudmila had a hard time with the separation, she almost committed suicide.

“It was the only moment in my life when I really wanted to commit suicide. We had a lovely time in the restaurant, ate something delicious, but the time came to say goodbye. Everything is already. I remember walking in oncoming traffic, I really wanted not to be, so as not to feel the pain. Then frosts set in for a very long period. You understand, it is very important for me to be fooled. For me, the most important thing was work, theater. I could only fall in love with talent. I wasn’t interested in physical, physiological life at all,” the actress admitted.

“Mistress of the Orphanage”: what secrets were revealed by the cult movie of the 80s

Having experienced the loss of a loved one, Lyudmila Petrovna after some time found love again. The actress met theater director Anatoly Vasiliev. The man was also not free, but their romance lasted for 12 years. "He was married. Although he led a fairly free lifestyle. Imagining him as my husband - never in my life! But it lasted for a very long time, I disappeared many times and thought that nothing would happen. But he is incredibly talented, well, just a genius. How to leave? It’s impossible to leave a genius,” this is how the artist described her relationship with Vasiliev.

The actress does not judge men who once hurt her. Despite the fact that she had to go through a lot, she did not become bitter in soul and forgave everyone a long time ago. Lyudmila Polyakova lives with a feeling of gratitude to the people who left a mark on her life. “I went through the painful process of putting myself back together piece by piece. But I have no anger left. I feel like I love them all."

Personal life

The marriage, concluded at a young age, turned out to be fragile; Vasily and Lyudmila do not have common children.

Polyakova was unable to find happiness in her second marriage. This time her chosen one was a man who had nothing to do with the world of cinema and theater. Lyudmila’s husband, a pilot by profession, was rarely at home and disappeared on business trips. However, she does not regret this union, since thanks to it she learned the joy of motherhood.

Fans who are interested in the children of actress Lyudmila Polyakova should know that she only has one son. At one time, Ivan tried to follow in his mother’s footsteps, but he quickly realized that his calling was music. He is currently trying to conquer Europe as a DJ.

Actress Polyakova gave birth to a son from deputy Khinshtein

And “Bitter!” the couple hasn't had a shout out yet

And “Bitter!” the couple hasn't yet been shouted out

The star of the series “Reflection”, “Closed School” and the film “Probationary Period”, which premiered last Sunday on the Domashny channel, became a mother on the eve of May Day. Polia POLYAKOVA did not make any event out of Polia POLYAKOVA’s pregnancy; one might even say, she tried not to advertise this fact. She flatly refused to say who the father of the child was. And only now the actress decided to reveal the secret to our readers.

“I have long dreamed of meeting someone about whom I could say “MY man.” I even asked Santa Claus for this for the New Year. And my cherished wish came true! to Sasha Khinshtein ; we met at a party. This happened in the fall of 2012. To my shame, I had no idea who he was. His last name didn’t mean anything to me, since before meeting Sasha I had never been interested in politics.

- Fell in love at first sight?

“Our romance didn’t start right away. For a long time we just communicated, talked for hours. He knows the answer to almost any question! I was so interested in him that I didn’t want to part with him. After a year of our relationship, we realized that we desperately wanted a baby and were ready to become parents. We didn’t even expect that the Lord would bless our union with a child so quickly. It was also a miracle when they told us that a boy would be born - both Sasha and I dreamed of a son.

Disaster Girl

— How did Khinshtein conquer you? Well, except for boundless erudition.

“For the first time I met such a courageous and persistent man that there was no way to resist his charm. He looked after me beautifully. It's no secret - women love with their ears. But Sasha knows how to speak... Now I see that it’s hard to imagine a more attentive and caring father than Alexander.

— Has anything changed in you since the birth of your son?

“I used to think that the main thing is work.” Now we understand that the main thing is our children. And work and self-realization are for the sake of the future of our children. Now my mother helps me a lot and teaches me a lot. After all, this is the first child for Sasha and me.

—Aren’t you going to filming yet?

- You won't be able to sit at home. The other day I’m returning to the NTV project in which I starred earlier - “Cop in Law.” I have the role of a kind of disaster girl who is pathologically unlucky in love. What I can’t say about myself now! You know, I have the absolute conviction that all meetings and events in our lives are not accidental. Looking back, I understand that Sasha and I were brought together by a series of seemingly completely unrelated “accidents”. In fact, there, in heaven, everything has long been predetermined.

- Why haven’t you officially sealed your union yet?

“With Alexander’s workload, it’s simply impossible to have a wedding.” If it happens, it will be during his vacation, in the summer. But we don’t want a traditional wedding, like in the movie “Bitter!” We are more inclined to the option “in a narrow family circle, where it is warm and there is a sea.”

The actress and the deputy believe that a lot of pleasant moments await them in their future together

Cried into my pillow

But there was another story in Paulie’s life. Which she told Express Gazeta two years ago:

— For six years I lived with a young man named Sergei. During this time, he proposed to me twice, but for various reasons we never got to the wedding. At the beginning of our relationship, after graduating from college, I had no luck with cinema at all - apart from filming in advertising, I was not invited anywhere. Seryozha then threw out harsh phrases: “There is no point in sitting on my neck at home! You should at least get a job as a cleaner at Mosfilm, if only they would notice and start inviting you!” And when the proposals came, he was suddenly overcome by jealousy: “You will become a famous actress, and you won’t need me, you will leave me.”

Once, because of him, I even refused a very lucrative movie offer. The filming took place in Kyiv, and I had to live there for a year. Sergei said that he would not come to me and we would have to part. I valued this relationship, loved him, and was afraid of losing him. But I really wanted self-realization in the profession. So that my loved one would be proud of me, so that he would be interested in me.

There were many difficulties, but the last straw was the story associated with filming the series “Reflection”.
I agreed to participate in the project, despite the planned romantic trip with Sergei to a warm country. Instead of joy for such a lucky ticket, I heard irritated cries that he didn’t care about my movie, that a vacation trip was more important for us now, because after returning we were finally going to go to the registry office. And I left for Mozhaisk, and my beloved went to the sea. For two weeks, while filming in the colony lasted, she called him, but was constantly met with a cold voice or long beeps. At night I cried into my pillow, and my heart was torn to pieces.

I drove home with a great desire to hug him and have a heart-to-heart talk. But, having crossed the threshold of the apartment, I saw bags with my things. “Go back to where you came from! Careerist! - blurted out the one I loved. I didn't argue. I took my things and moved to my parents.

Cinematic projects

In 1970, Lyudmila made her debut in the drama “Head of the Party Committee” in the image of the secretary of the party committee, Polina Goncharenko. Her heroine is a strong, brave woman, ready to go over her head for the sake of justice. At the same time, she will have to sacrifice her personal life for the sake of the fate of her fellow villagers. For this work, Polyakova was awarded an honorary prize at the Minsk Film Festival “VKF”.

For the next twenty years, the actress played in diverse films of famous Soviet film directors, earning the love and respect of the audience. The following films with her participation became the most famous:

  • "Almost a funny story";

With each new film, the characters she played became more interesting, more complex and more voluminous. But Polyakova played the main role for herself in the film “Mistress of the Orphanage”. It is considered important because it is dedicated to the mother of the actress, with whom Lyudmila’s relationship was strained. The Honored Artist of Russia accused her mother of paying little attention to her. But having matured, Lyudmila Petrovna forgave her mother. Oddly enough, Polyakova was closer and dearer to the stage than to the video filming site, so most of the film roles are minor characters in the film. But these are heroes with character and their own “zest”. In 1970, the film “The Crown of the Russian Empire, or the Elusive Ones Again” was released, in which Lyudmila also appears. And in 1974 the film “Front Without Flanks” was released. In it, the actress plays the chairman of the collective farm, Klavdia Gerasimovna. Filming of the 1976 film “The Ascension” took place in Murom, where Polyakova spent her childhood. According to Lyudmila, an actor must play, not limit himself, and constantly be on television in different roles and film genres.   • "Moscow time";
  • “Citizen Nikanorova is waiting for you”;

The list of filmographies and television plays “A Tale of One Love” and “The Young Mistress of Niskavuori” complete the list. Biography of actress Lyudmila Polyakova after the birth of her son
