Mikhail Polizeimako became a father for the fourth time

Biography

Mikhail was born into a theatrical family. His parents are famous actors Semyon Farada and Marina Polizeimako. And my grandfather is People’s Artist of the USSR Vitaly Polizeimako, who worked for many years at the BDT with Tovstonogov.

Misha's childhood was spent behind the scenes of the Taganka Theater, his mother's place of work. At the age of eight, the boy starred in a movie for the first time - in the film “What is Yeralash.” He graduated from a music school with a degree in piano, was considered a very promising pianist, and was even offered to go to the conservatory. The young man studied at a school with a historical bias, and additionally studied English. In his free time, he played football and enjoyed basketball, swimming and table tennis.

As Mikhail himself admitted, he did not aspire to be an artist: “In my opinion, the only thing I aspired to was in the yard, to play football: my mother accompanied me to the music school, and I turned to the football field, threw my briefcase with notes and spent two hours kicked the ball. And then he would return home and come up with excuses for his dirty appearance. But I still completed seven piano classes at a music school, and at the same time I learned the guitar on my own.

Since I studied at a school with a historical bias, on the advice of my teacher I was going to become a historian. But my creative genes suddenly woke up from a deep sleep - my mother sent me to audition for the Shchukin School, and I suddenly liked the acting, so much so that I decided to try out for the Shchepkin School, but they liked guys with Slavic appearance more, so I left. I failed because of my Mediterranean type of face..."

Mikhail tried to enroll in several other educational institutions, most of which he passed through a competition. However, the future actor chose GITIS (RATI).

Father

Vitaly Pavlovich Polizeimako, People's Artist of the USSR and State Prize laureate, was a bright and temperamental actor at the Gorky Bolshoi Drama Theater, he knew how to charge the audience with a good mood.

Marina Polizeimako's father was no less than the twentieth child of a simple large Greek family, Polizeimakos.

While working on his roles, Vitaly Pavlovich paid great attention to his wife’s subtle comments, completely trusting her opinion. Marina’s parents were an unusually harmonious match for each other. Dad was a big wide Volga river and black soil, while mom was a sophisticated and European-educated young lady.

Theater

In 1997, immediately after graduating from RATI (A. Borodin’s workshop), Mikhail Politsemako was hired by the Russian Academic Youth Theater. He has played roles in the following plays: “Romeo and Juliet” (Benvolio), “The Stag King” (Tartaglia), “The Diary of Anne Frank” (Mr. Dussel), “Lorenzaccio” (Jomo), “The Martian Chronicles” (Walter Gripp) .

In addition to RAMT, the actor plays in productions of the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya, “Quartet I”, Independent Theater Project, ART-THEATRE, “Art-Partner XXI”, “La-Theater”, “Theater Marathon”, Art Salon Theater, “Oasis” . Known for his role as DJ Max from Radio Day and Election Day.

Mikhail actively participates in Vadim Dubrovitsky’s entrepreneurial theatrical projects “Affair in a Number”, in “Lady’s Night” by Eshan Mamedov, and by Leonid Roberman in “Little Scams of the Big City”. Polizeimako's dream remains to play Petruchio in The Taming of the Shrew.

Mikhail considers himself, first of all, a theater actor, despite the fact that most viewers remember him from TV series and television programs. The actor enjoys acting in films, although he notes that it is much more boring than theater: “Theater is a living thing. And cinema - take, two, three and that’s it, goodbye.”

Cinema

For movie lovers, Mikhail Politseymako is better known as a comic actor. He played his debut roles in the films: “Bolotnaya street, or a remedy against sex”, “Childhood Themes”, “Old Nags”, “Down House”, several parts of the comedy “DMB”.

The first truly big work for Mikhail was the adventure comedy by Vitaly Mukhametzyanov “Hello, we are your roof!” (2005). The artist played the role of provincial businessman Kaprishchev very funny.

He also demonstrated his bright comedic talent in Alexei Rudakov’s film “Money Day.” Also memorable were the roles of Policeman in David Keosayan’s melodrama “Three Half-Graces” (Venya), Alexander Zamyatin’s comedy “Passion for Cinema” (Grisha), and Andrei Konchalovsky’s film “Gloss” (journalist). By the way, the actor agreed to act with Konchalovsky without even asking about the amount of the contract.

Murad Ibragimbekov’s film “Three Girls” attracted Mikhail with its plot. This exciting black comedy is built around the investigation of the theft of a famous painting from the Krakow Museum. Shooting, fakes, substitutions, chases and, of course, love. Filming took place in Baku. For three months, the actor and his partners Sergei Frolov and Ravshana Kurkova lived surrounded by Azerbaijani colleagues. According to the artist, he even managed to learn to sing and swear in Azerbaijani.

And Mikhail considers his greatest success to be working with Vladimir Khotinenko in the films “Beyond the Wolves” and “72 Meters.”

The artist can often be seen in TV series. Among them: “Simple Truths”, “Who’s the Boss of the House?”, “Girls of the Starfish”, “Dasha Vasilyeva. Lover of private investigation" and others.

The actor completely disagrees with those who call the “multi-series” something secondary: “And a series can be good and of high quality if it is made conscientiously by real professionals.” Mikhail was delighted with what his friend Alexey Kiryushchenko, director of “My Fair Nanny,” did. Although Polizeimako played a completely unnoticeable role in this popular film.

In 2010, Mikhail Polizeimako starred in the historical detective story “Notes of the Forwarder of the Secret Chancellery.” The artist shares his impressions of the filming: “This is a very serious work of talented people - director Oleg Ryaskov, stuntmen, actors, camera work, production work by Andrei Ryklin. These people make real, first of all, Russian cinema - at the world level. I just adore Ryaskov - what he does, how he thinks, how he builds, how much strength he has for it. I looked at pieces of material - it's impressive, honestly! I'm sure this film will be a definite bomb for fans of historical action.

I am the secretary of the English ambassador Henry Arnoville, a sort of intriguer who, together with the main character, finds himself in various upheavals. These include fights, explosions on the ship, and intrigue. I speak here mainly in English - a lot of interesting dialogues, scenes... I especially remember one beautiful scene that was filmed in St. Petersburg: the main character and I, as a couple, after a shipwreck, come out of the Gulf of Finland in our clothes, wet..."

In 2014, the fantasy series “The Secret City” was released. This is a film based on the book by Vadim Panov, a cult author for science fiction fans, a film about the “other Moscow”, where there are magicians, witches and werewolves.

Mikhail says: “My character’s name is Ptitius, he is the manager of a local tavern. Ptitsius is fat and half-winged, a cross between a human and a bird, a lover of women and social gatherings. He betrays people, trades information. My hero has a very cool costume - bright and colorful, like a parrot. The costume designer also made it comfortable, for which I bow to him. It turned out to be a colorful guy. When you read about the adventures of my hero from Panov, it takes your breath away, this is real action. By the way, my scenes were filmed very quickly, in just six days.

Vadim Panov, the author of the series of novels “The Secret City,” is a very popular writer, he has a whole army of fans. After reading his saga, the producers decided to film. This is such a good fantasy, fans of the genre should like it. The author’s imagination immerses the reader in another world that we do not notice in ordinary life.”

In 2020, viewers saw the family comedy “Breakfast at Dad’s,” where Polizeimako did not have the main, but very important role. The actor says why this film interests him: “Yes, it turned out to be such a good film, in the best traditions of Soviet cinema. “Breakfast at Dad’s” is not very similar to modern paintings. Firstly, it is about love in our crazy world, and secondly, it is about family. And the slogan of the film is this: if there is love, then, no matter what, people will be together, especially when they are connected by a child. The daughter, by the way, was brilliantly played by the young actress Louise-Gabriela Brovina. The main roles were perfectly performed by Yuri Kolokolnikov and Katerina Shpitsa. I have a good, but small role in the film as the head of the advertising agency where Katerina’s heroine works.”

In total, the actor’s filmography includes about 80 films.

Movies

Policemako’s film debut took place at the age of 8 – it was a role in the film “What is Yeralash.” Today, Mikhail Polizeimako has 120 roles, most of which are episodes or supporting roles. Mikhail’s most successful acting works are the films “DMB”, “Money Day”, “Beyond the Wolves”, “Hello, We are Your Roof”, “Tycoons”, “Topsy-Turvy House”, “I Know How to Be Happy”.

In 2007, Mikhail Polizeymako played a role in the film “Three Girls”. The actor agreed to participate in Murad Ibragimbekov’s film without much hesitation. Firstly, Polizeimako is friends with the director, and secondly, Mikhail was attracted by the idea of a comedy. The plot of the fascinating film was built around the investigation of the theft of a painting from the Krakow Museum. Filming took place in Baku, Mikhail lived for 3 months surrounded by Azerbaijani colleagues, observing the life of local residents. According to the actor, he even managed to learn to swear in Azerbaijani.

Among Polizeimako’s works are the role of a correspondent in the comedy “Radio Day”, the secretary of the British Embassy in the film “Notes of the Forwarder of the Secret Chancellery”, Denis Shilov in the film “Caramel”.

The actor is equally good and convincing in the role of a journalist, businessman, image maker, psychotherapist and military man. The images he created are attractive to the viewer and are quickly remembered. Mikhail Polizeimako is known and loved in Russia and the CIS countries.

A television

In his busy schedule, Mikhail Polizeimako also finds room to work on television, both as a program host and for filming in advertising.

Already a well-known and popular actor, Mikhail hosted the program “Exercise for the Whole Country” on the 7TV channel, paired with figure skater Maria Butyrskaya. Later he became the presenter of “Morning on NTV”, then simultaneously hosted two culinary programs on the “Domashny” channel: “Sweet Stories” and “Culinary College”.

In 2008, he took part in the television show “King of the Ring” on Channel One, for which he trained for six months. “Boxing is a great experience. First of all, it trains your courage. It's a tough sport and I've been lucky to avoid injury. During the preparation of the program, I began to lead a healthier lifestyle, training three times a week with coach Mark Ionovich Meltzer,” the actor admitted.

In 2010, he participated in the dance project “Hipsters Show!”, where stars of music, cinema, sports and politics perform popular dances from their favorite movies, cartoons, and video clips.

From April 2010 to September 2012 - host of the health talk show “About the Most Important Thing” on the Rossiya TV channel.

In 2013 on TV House Upside Down. Its main characters and presenters were Mikhail Polizeimako, his wife Larisa and daughter Emilia.

Mikhail Polizeymako lost weight

However, Mikhail Polizeimako became truly famous as the host of the medical program “About the Most Important Thing.” Our today’s hero worked on this project from 2010 to 2012.

It is very noteworthy that before filming this program, the actor himself experienced serious health problems. His weight began to reach 112 kg, and doctors began to warn Mikhail about the high likelihood of a stroke. At this moment, our today's hero was forced to seriously think about his health. He lost 25 kg and began to carefully follow doctors' recommendations in the field of healthy eating.

Charity

Mikhail Polizeimako participates in charity events for children. When asked why this is important for him, he answers: “Because now there are very few people who selflessly and unselfishly help children. I have been friends with Chulpan Khamatova since college, and she often organizes such events. Most recently, I took part in the “Give Life” campaign - I sold toys in one of the largest supermarkets in the capital. Using the proceeds, several children have already undergone operations that saved their lives. It's a big deal and I'm proud to be a part of it."

Personal life

The first time Mikhail married very early was the actress Olga Lysak. From this union the actor has a son, Nikita. But family life did not work out. “The first marriage was stupid! Not a single bastard told me: “Misha, don’t get married at 18!” Go for a walk, have a walk, and then…” No one said, which is a pity. And where were the parents looking? How could a child be allowed to get married in his first year of college? Such love indifference does not lead to good things... And after four years of marriage, I thought: “Why do I need this?” The love passed, the tomatoes withered... And I left,” says the artist.

The actor has been happily married to his second wife Larisa for many years. They have two daughters - Emilia and Sofia. Mikhail recalls: “I was still working at the Youth Theater at that time. Larisa came from St. Petersburg to work part-time and showed up at the theater. I played a policeman in the play Les Misérables, and in three hours I went on stage for two seconds. I go backstage and see a girl. That's all. I immediately felt: this is mine!”

Now family comes first for Mikhail Polizeimako. A very difficult test for him was the illness of his father, Semyon Farada, who suffered a stroke and was bedridden for nine years. Mikhail admitted that after his father’s death he began to look at work, family and life values differently: “Family is sacred to me. I live and work for the sake of my loved ones.”

The actor spoke about the details of his personal life in the program “The Fate of a Man with Boris Korchevnikov.”

Women

Literally in his first year, Mikhail had his first strong love. At 18, he was already living with the beautiful Olga Lysak in a happy marriage. When the young man turned 25, the lovers decided to have offspring. The first son of Polizeimako Nikita was born. However, a year later the marriage began to crack at the seams: Olga found out that her charismatic husband had fallen in love with another woman.

That woman was Larisa, who would later become the actor’s second wife. And she will be jealous of her handsome husband with wild curls and expressive eyes: Polizeimako has Greek roots, which gave the actor an unforgettable colorful appearance.

Interview

About the profession:

“In fact, this is a very difficult profession. On the surface it seems like nonsense. In fact, the work is very hard. Many people say that acting is a woman's profession. I don’t know, for me it’s plowing. I don’t know what’s easier: moving a woodpile of wood or performing a play on stage. It’s just that the muscles work there, and your emotions work here. A person who leads an ordinary lifestyle uses emotions for their intended purpose, and we use emotions during work. In our soul - no one knows where it is - there is also a muscle. And it must be trained, otherwise it will become stale.” “Just as a fish is used to living in the water, I am also used to being behind the scenes or on the set. I don't treat it like a job and don't wait for it to end. For me, a performance is a way of self-expression, an energy release even on a physiological level...”

“For an actor, fame is not the main thing. The main thing is to practice your profession and not waste your time. An artist can be popular, and then disappear into obscurity in a second - he won’t even notice this moment. Therefore, I am impressed by people who, despite their fame, do not forget to say hello, say “you” to others and do not open the door with their foot. A successful actor is 40% talent, what was given by parents and God, 40% ability to work and 20% luck.”

About theater and cinema:

“I think theater is more productive for the acting profession. This is the main profession. Although acting is translated as “acting” - to act, but in fact you live by the logic of another person. After all, cinema is a one-time story. The point of theater is to repeat, to repeat what you have already played many times. Therefore, the theater is much more professional. And the theater is much more interesting than the cinema. Because theater is a search. But in the movies you search quickly. Because you came to the set, even if you were prepared, came up with something - and that’s it. And theater is a constant search.”

About filming in advertising:

“I don’t see anything wrong with this. This is all my work, I am an artist, and all artists are essentially clowns. Moreover, now I have a large family, and it needs to not only be fed, put on shoes and clothed, but also pampered with gifts.”

About family:

“Fighting for your family is a man’s destiny. A woman should be behind her husband, she is a driven creature. A wife can shout, show off, command, but the last word must remain with the man.”

About my wife:

“I am incredibly lucky with my wife, I have the best wife in the world. Lara is a real heroine. I just work, and everything else is on her. She takes care of her daughters and household chores, and also manages to take care of me. Sometimes she waits for me after midnight with dinner... She is my closest person, other women, in principle, do not interest me. Even the most beautiful and sexy ones cannot be compared with her.”

About children:

“I believe that children should have a childhood. I don’t understand parents who take their kids to endless castings and force them to sit for hours in the corridors of Mosfilm or Gorky’s studio. Children should enjoy life, laugh a lot, have fun. Of course, I don’t mean that a child should grow up a complete slacker, but it is important that everything be in moderation. I had a very good childhood. Even though I had to go to music school, which I simply hated!” “It sounds stupid, but I’m happy that my children have a young dad. Nikita was born when I was 25, Emilia at 31, and Sonya at 34. Now I am 37 years old, and I have some reserve of time. I can be with them, put them on their feet and see my children at thirty-seven.”

“You can send a child to professional sports only if he has clearly expressed abilities. You can’t force him to go to the section just so that he ruins his health there. Nikita recently started taking up Greco-Roman wrestling and somehow liked it. Although I wanted to send him to boxing - I myself played this sport as a child. Emilia goes to music school and dances. She is hyperactive: she runs a lot, does not like to sit still. Milya and Sonya are completely different. It’s amazing how, with the same mom and dad and only three years difference, they could turn out so different! Sonya eats all the time, like I did as a child, and Milya, at five years old, is already watching her figure.”

About father:

“Before, my favorite holiday was New Year. Dad's birthday is December 31st, and we always celebrated it cheerfully, noisily, in a big company. And now for me this is the saddest holiday. They say time heals, but thinking about dad, I still feel unbearable pain.

I miss him terribly, and every day I need him more and more. I regret that much between us remained unsaid, that I did not give him enough attention. Dad loved life madly, bravely fought the disease and absolutely sincerely did not understand why they didn’t want to cure him. And it still haunts me. I can’t come to terms with the fact that I couldn’t help him in any way.”

About the surname:

“The fact is that my father’s real name is Ferdman, while Farada is a stage name. My parents gave me the surname Polizeimako at birth - that’s how I’m written in the documents. I didn't change it. For what? I am proud to bear a hereditary theatrical surname. My grandfather is an actor of the Leningrad Bolshoi Drama Theater Vitaly Polizeymako, a Stalin Prize laureate. The surname Ferdman, it must be said, has not died. Dad’s sister Zhenya and her children, all Ferdmans, live in Israel, in Haifa.”

About your weight:

“At 34 years old I weighed 117 kilograms, that is, now I could weigh all 150. I would be like three of me. I had to pull myself together. A person's physical fitness does not depend on diets, but on what is in his head. I was very sad to part with some of the products. For example, since childhood I adored cola; it was a real gift for me, as for all Soviet children. Now I understand: soda is “hello, diabetes.” I saw people who “sit” on it and drink all day long. I gave it up, and I still don’t eat chips, fast food, white bread, or sweets - I just don’t like them,” admits Mikhail, who managed to lose more than 20 extra pounds in a few months.

Movie

Mikhail Polizeimako played more than seventy roles in films and TV series. Among them, of course, there are many minor and episodic ones. But there are also memorable, colorful characters in Policemako’s track record. In 2006, in the melodrama “Three Half-Graces”, he played a positive young man from a Jewish family. The role of his hero's mother was played by Maria Politsemako. The character in the film “Three Half-Graces,” however, like almost all of Mikhail’s heroes, is slightly comical. The directors have not yet seen the dramatic actor in Policemako.

In Konchalovsky’s film “Gloss,” the hero of today’s article played a role that was far from comical. He played a journalist who was ruined by curiosity and thirst for profit. Polizeimako’s filmography also includes the following films:
