Margarita Terekhova’s daughter Anna: “Mom is unwell and, unfortunately, can no longer act in film”

Childhood

August 13, 1970 marked the birth of a girl who was to become a recognizable and significant actress on the Russian stage. Anna Savvovna Terekhova was born in Moscow, in the family of the famous Russian actress Margarita Terekhova and the Bulgarian Savva Khashimov, who was no less famous in his homeland.

The family turned out to be fragile and soon broke up. From the age of two, Anna saw her father occasionally, visiting him every year. Their relationship was warm, but after graduating from school, Terekhova took her mother’s last name. As a child, Anya was no different from other children, and no one predicted the fate of her famous parents.

The mother did not impose her will on her daughter and was glad that the craving for art did not manifest itself in her. However, like many descendants of famous actors (for example, the successors of the dynasties Maxim Vitorgan, Mikhail Politseymako, Yulia Menshova), Anna nevertheless followed a similar creative path.

Anna's mother also comes from an acting family. It was the grandmother who instilled in the girl a love of art, since for the most part she was involved in raising Anya, while her mother was completely absorbed in her career.

Galina Tomashevich instilled in Anna culinary skills and a love of needlework. She told her granddaughter fabulous stories and made incredibly beautiful crafts

The passion for dancing was also instilled by my grandmother. At the same time, Anna was interested in horse riding, swimming and rhythmic gymnastics. At an early age, Anya Terekhova wanted to become a veterinarian because she loved animals and dreamed of helping them.

However, by the age of ten, Anna was involved in filming. Her first screen role was in Roman Viktyuk’s film “Girl, Where Do You Live.” The year was 1982, which was also marked by filming in the film “Rainbow in Winter” in a cameo role.

Biography

Honored Artist of Russia, leading actress of the Moscow Theater of the Moon Anna Terekhova was born in Moscow in 1970.
Her mother Margarita Terekhova is a famous Russian actress, her father Savva Khashimov is a Bulgarian actor. As a child, the closest person to Anya was her grandmother. “We had a very good time with her. Grandmother was a kind and truly talented person. She tried to ensure that my childhood was not some kind of routine, everyday life. Grandmother painted it with her stories and fairy tales that she herself invented. She did a lot with her own hands - she painted beautifully, sewed very well, cooked wonderfully, glued fairytale castles from cardboard for me. She and I played charades. If we went to the park, then Princess Nesmeyana would definitely live there in a hollow tree, and not just a squirrel,” Anna recalled.

Anya spent only the holidays with her mother. “Mom, for all her universal kindness, is a rather tough person. When she took me to filming, to the theater, she tried to give me as much attention as possible, to give me as much warmth and love as possible. But at the same time, she could be strict and persistent: she taught me to read, told me that I needed to educate myself - I remember this very well. I was always not very good at mathematics, but my mother was the opposite, so she pushed me,” Anna said in an interview.

At the age of ten, Anna Terekhova became an actress: Roman Viktyuk invited her to play the main role in the film-play “Girl, Where Do You Live”.

By the end of school, the question of a profession was resolved. I entered several universities, but the third time I got into GITIS, without the help of my eminent mother.

The youth of the actress

Graduating from the tenth grade of secondary school, Anna no longer doubted her choice of profession; it was predetermined. During the theater's tours, in which the girl accompanied her mother, she adopted the spirit of creativity and the tricks of the acting profession.

One of the brightest memories of those years was a family trip to the filming of the film “Santa Esperanza”, which took place in Koktebel. One of the main roles was played by the girl's mother, Margarita. Young Anna was greatly impressed by the incredible scenery among which they were located during filming. Mom, Anya and her younger brother Alexander then lived together in a field, surrounded by majestic structures and beautiful nature.

After graduating from school, the girl decided to enroll in a theater university and applied to several educational institutions at once. However, she managed to enter GITIS only on the third attempt. The future actress made her way into the walls of universities herself, without attracting the influence of her famous mother.

Anna's studies gave her a lot: she absorbed the experience and professionalism of V. Lavertov and E. Lazarev, who were her teachers. Starting from her fourth year, the actress worked in Alla Sigalova’s Independent Troupe, where she played the main characters in productions of Othello, Salome, and The Queen of Spades. These roles allowed me to fully reveal my talent.

From the experience of her famous relatives - her grandmother and mother - Anna learned the habit of thoroughly preparing for the performance of a role. This process includes studying literature that reflects the historical characteristics of the upcoming role, highlighting the character of the character to be played, and recreating a complete image.

Childhood

Anna Terekhova is the daughter of the famous actress Margarita Terekhova and the Bulgarian actor Savva Khashimov. Her parents met in Bulgaria on the set of the film “Running on the Waves.” At that time, Khashimov was married, but, having learned about Margarita’s pregnancy, he left his former family for her. Unfortunately, the marriage of Margarita Terekhova and Savva Khashimov did not last long. Savva was eager to go to Bulgaria, where interesting work awaited him, and Margarita did not want to leave Moscow. As a result, they separated when Anna was not even three years old. Despite this, Anna continued to communicate with her father and even bore his last name until the tenth grade. And only then did she change it to Terekhova. Since, due to the nature of her work, the mother could not pay due attention to her daughter, and the father lived in Bulgaria, Anna’s upbringing was mainly carried out by her grandmother, actress Galina Stanislavovna Tomashevich. True, for this she, at the Sverdlovsk Theater, had to leave the stage. Anna grew up as an ordinary child. Mom didn’t try to specifically “draw” her into the acting profession, with which Anna herself completely agrees today: “A child should grow up with his childhood life. There is no need to drag him into adult games. He will choose his own path. Mom has always remained a mother to me.” However, Anna’s acting debut took place precisely in childhood. At the age of 10, she played a role in the film-play by Roman Viktyuk “Girl, where do you live?”

GITIS

After graduating from school, Anna decided to connect her life with the stage. Her mother did not participate in her preparation at GITIS, perhaps that is why Anna entered the theater institute only on her third attempt. At GITIS, Anna Terekhova had the opportunity to study on a course with E. Lazarev and V. Levertov. In her fourth year, she was invited to work in Alla Sigalova’s “Independent Troupe”. In this theatre, where drama and choreography were fused into one whole, the bright talent of the actress first appeared, playing the roles of Desdemona in Othello, Lisa in The Queen of Spades and Herodias from Salome.

Personal life

In her personal life, Anna Terekhova to some extent follows the path of her mother. Having become pregnant early (at the age of 17), she married the young actor Valery Borovskikh. Soon after the wedding, the couple had a son, Mikhail. They lived together for four years, after which they separated. Anna's new husband was actor Nikolai Dobrynin. He adopted Mikhail and in all interviews claimed that this was his son. Thanks to Nikolai Dobrynin, Anna joined Alla Sigalova's troupe. There they played together, she played Desdemona, he played Othello. Anna Terekhova says: “Throughout the five years of working for Sigalova, our relationship with Kolya continued to be in a honeymoon. And then it became clear that it was impossible to withstand such intense passions for long. At some point our relationship collapsed. Although... I probably didn’t have enough worldly wisdom back then.” After that, Anna had several more novels, but they did not end in anything serious.

Theater

Currently, Anna Terekhova works at the Luna Theater, where she was invited by Sergei Prokhanov. Anna's debut on the stage of this theater was the role of Thais in the play "Thais the Shining". “This role gave me a lot, it changed a lot in my destiny and creativity,” admits the actress. No less striking work was the role of Nicole in the play “Tender is the Night,” based on Fitzgerald’s novel. “I adore Nicole too,” says Anna. — The name itself—“Tender is the Night”—contains so much, it evokes associations: what happened, what will happen, what you want. There is some beauty in it. Precisely beauty, not beauty. Something airy, light, aristocratic. All this is included in the name. Here are human relationships from which we can never escape: love, betrayal, betrayal. All this only complements the beautiful picture. The role of Nicole itself is unusual. Her character depends on who is next to her.” In addition, Anna Terekhova played on the stage of the Monologue XXI Century theater. For her roles as Mom and the Third Woman in A. Sokolov’s production of “The Bed,” she was awarded the Prize for Best Actress at the International Arts Festival in Gelendzhik in 2000.

Movie

Anna Terekhova made her screen debut in 1993 in the melodrama “Russian Ragtime”. And the actress’s first big success came in 1997, when she starred in Rudolf Fruntov’s crime drama “Everything We’ve Dreamed About for So Long.” For this role, Anna Terekhova was awarded the Audience Award. Anna Terekhova began actively acting in films already in the new century. Viewers remembered her as Elena Yurievna in the action film “Strike of the Lotus 3: The Riddle of the Sphinx”, Elizabeth in the series “Knights of the Starfish”, Alice (Viktor’s mistress) in the film “Hope Dies Last”. Together with her brother, Alexander Terekhov, Anna starred in her mother’s film “The Seagull” (an adaptation of the famous play by A.P. Chekhov). Viewers and critics often compare Anna with her mother. Anna is indeed very similar in appearance to Margarita Terekhova, and God did not offend her with her talent. In one of the interviews, Margarita Borisovna even stated that her daughter surpassed her in talent, to which Anna herself says: “In no way do I think that I am more talented. I will never reach my mother's height. Yes, I don’t need it: I will never strive for it. “Thank God, I have a different path, a different career.”

Theater stage

Terekhova continued to work at the Independent Group for another eight years after graduating from GITIS, which she graduated in 1990. The next stage was the Theater of the Moon, directed by S. Prokhanov. Anna's unsurpassed acting talent allowed her to play key characters in theater productions from the very beginning of her work.

Her debut on the new stage took place in the production of “Thais the Shining,” where Terekhova played the role of the beloved of the great commander Alexander the Great. The role required effort from the girl - she had to lose significant weight. She achieved her goal quickly, choosing the path of fasting, but this caused severe exhaustion of the actress’s body, so she subsequently began to use more gentle methods.

Participation in the leading role in the play “Tender is the Night,” based on the novel of the same name, became significant for Anna Terekhova. It was after this premiere that admirers of the actress’s talent began to flock to the Luna Theater. Some time later, for her brilliant acting, Anna was awarded the “Chamomile” award (roles on the theater stage in the plays “The King Is Dying” and “Richard III”).

Anna Terekhova was involved in productions of other theaters in the capital. For example, in “Game for Two” from the Ermolova House Museum, the actress performed in tandem with the famous Vyacheslav Starodubtsev.

Cinema

At the beginning of her creative career, Terekhova was devoted to the theater stage; her film appearances were few. The actress’s first film appearance as a professional was her role in the film “Russian Ragtime.” A little later, she starred in the film “Kings of Russian Detective,” in which her partner on the set was Armen Dzhigarkhanyan. The actress recalls this experience as unique for her further professional development.

A successful project in Terekhova’s film career was the action film “Everything We’ve Dreamed About for So Long” (1997). After the premiere, Anna woke up as a popular and recognizable actress, the audience accepted her and appreciated her skill. By the way, the role was quite difficult for her - during filming, the actress studied elements of martial arts and performed serious stunts on her own.

Next, TV viewers saw Terekhova in serial films of 2002-2003:

  • "If the bride is a witch."
  • "Lotus Strike 3".
  • "On the corner of Patriarch's 3."

The actress’s mother, Margarita, entrusted Anna to play the role of Nina Zarechnaya in her film adaptation of Chekhov’s “The Seagull,” which was filmed in 2005

In addition, Anna starred in an issue of the comedy magazine “Yeralasha”. 2010 turned out to be fruitful creatively - Anna appeared in two dramatic films (“Herbarium of Masha Kolosova” and “Flowers from Lisa”). The next year was marked by the participation in the leading role of the comedy film “Criminal Circumstances,” which was well received by the audience.

Margarita's marriage

The famous Margarita Terekhova met the Bulgarian actor on the set of the film “Running on the Waves.” Sava Khashimov came to the Union for the sake of the woman he loved. In 1967, the couple had a daughter, Anna.

Unfortunately, family happiness lasted less than two years. Margarita was incredibly in demand at that time. But Sava couldn’t find a job in his specialty at all. He was very depressed by the lack of demand in cinema. Soon he left the country.

Margarita never showed her feelings, but the divorce was not at all easy for her. The woman made every effort to ensure that her daughter did not feel lonely. She tried to spend more time with her. Grandmother Galina Tomashevich helped in raising the baby.

For her daughter, Margarita has always been a great authority. The girl first appeared in a movie at the age of 10.

Personal life

In relation to men, Anna has always been impulsive and adventurous. Her first love at the age of 17, the object of which was the young actor Valery Borovinskikh, led to a hasty wedding due to the actress’s pregnancy. In 1987, the family was expanded - a son, Mikhail, was born, but the marriage turned out to be shaky, and the couple separated after four years of marriage.

The second husband of the actress was Nikolai Dobrynin, also an actor by profession. Anna Terekhova’s personal life at the beginning of her relationship with Nikolai Dobrynin was filled with love and respect; Nikolai even adopted Anna’s child. However, after eight years, the marriage still broke up.

A big iconic figure in the actress’s personal life is Terekhova Sr. Margarita today communicates closely with her daughter and receives great support from her, which is especially important given that the actress’s mother suffers from a serious illness. On Anna’s social networks you can often see personal photos with her family and touching messages addressed to her mother.

Terekhova spends her free time in horse riding and gymnastics - hobbies to which she has remained faithful since childhood. Anna devotes a lot of time to hand-to-hand combat, which allows her to take on complex dynamic roles.

The actress drives a personal Toyota car. Anna's favorite flowers are roses, irises and peonies, and her favorite fruits and berries are apples, peaches and raspberries. The actress's culinary talent is also well developed; she loves to cook. She is especially good at sweet pies.

Debut of a future star

As a child, Margarita Terekhova’s daughter Anna did not even think that one day she would be recognized not as a descendant of a famous actress, but as an independent person. In those years, she really wanted to become a veterinarian because she was crazy about animals. In addition, she was interested (quite seriously) in horse riding, and was happy about her small victories and achievements. Perhaps her dream would have come true if not for one “but”...

She was only ten when Roman Viktyuk, with some sixth sense, discerning remarkable talent in her, invited her to his film-play “Girl, where do you live?” This is how the daughter of Margarita Terekhova first appeared on stage. And I must say that she liked it. Therefore, over time, after thinking about everything, she decided to continue the dynasty.

Anna Terekhova and modernity

Today, the actress’s creative fulfillment finds expression on her favorite stage of the Luna Theater in Moscow. Her performance can be appreciated in the plays “Encore Wife”, “Mata Hari: Eyes of the Day”. Residents of other cities in Russia and neighboring countries can also enjoy the actress’s work during the troupe’s tours.

The star of the theater stage strives for realization in an enterprise, as evidenced by her brilliant role in the comedy play “On the Strings of Rain.” In this production, Terekhova plays the role of a housekeeper serving a wealthy lady. One scene with Anna in this play is shared by Irina Muravyova and Evgeny Kulakov.

At the initial stages of her creative biography, Anna was often compared with her famous mother, which often caused the actress’s indignation. Today, Anna Terekhova managed to demonstrate her unique creative style and unsurpassed talent. Anna claims that she has a special sense of the stage and her own audience. The name of Anna Terekhova is not only well-known; many have appreciated her creative achievements and revere her talent.

Theater

During her studies, in her fourth year, Anna was invited to work in Alla Sigalova’s “Independent Troupe”. She played Desdemona in Othello, Lisa in The Queen of Spades and Herodias in Salome.

In 1997, Terekhova became a member of the troupe of the Moscow Theater of the Moon. Here she made her stage debut in the production of Tender is the Night, playing the role of Nicole. However, real success came to Anna a year later in the leading role in the play “The Radiant Thais”.

Anna Savvovna has not been unfaithful to the Theater of the Moon for twenty years. Today she is the leading actress of the troupe.

Roles in the theater:

  • Two poor Romanians speaking Polish
  • Mata Hari: “Eyes of the Day”
  • Encore wife
  • Night is tender

“Today the theater is incredibly diverse. There are a lot of new forms, sometimes scandalous, difficult, not accepted by everyone, but interesting. I believe that there is a positive side to this development of theater, and the fact that not everyone accepts and criticizes is also correct. The main thing is that the viewer is not indifferent to what he sees. People go to the theater to get emotions, to escape from their usual everyday life, to smile with their favorite actors - even if it is a simple, simple plot. And what makes me happy is that audiences go to the theater to understand something, to comprehend something new, and denial in some cases is also an assessment,” says the actress.
