Participant: Nikeloman/Volkov, Alexander Mikhailovich (restaurateur)

After 10 years, Katya Lel found the strength to visit the grave of the former producer. The famous entrepreneur Alexander Volkov was the first producer of the aspiring singer, and also the woman he loved. He invested a lot of money in promoting the future star. However, after some time, their union broke up. The breakup was accompanied by a series of high-profile scandals, after which Katya did not want to hear about the former producer for a long time.

Why did Katya Lel disappear?

Several years ago, Katya Lel was one of the most popular Russian pop singers. Her famous hits “Musi-pusi” and “Fly away” were broadcast on all entertainment television and radio channels. However, at some point the star suddenly disappeared from the fans' sight. As it later became known: she broke up with her producer.

Alexander Volkov from the “Dancing” project: The participants quietly annoyed me

29-year-old dancer from St. Petersburg Alexander Volkov took part in the “Dancing” show on TNT and reached almost the final. The day before, as part of a tour, the dancer arrived in Rostov.

The young man danced in his own fusion style. However, after the first dance, the jury members did not see a professional in the young man.

Alexander Volkov told the Rostov Notebook correspondent about what he had to face during the project.

It is known that initially the judges said “no” to you, but, nevertheless, you came out a second time and revealed your talent from a different side. What feelings did you have at that moment?

Alexander:

When they told me “no,” I went backstage and thought: “Guys, you got something mixed up or didn’t understand.” I'm not a beginner dancer, I'm a professional. I created my own genre in the dance direction. And only the guys in America can boast of this. And it felt so strange to me that they didn’t understand, and I thought, “Okay.” When I went out for the second time, the first thing that came to my mind was ballroom dancing. They turned on “cha-cha-cha” for me. I danced. The jury said: “Okay, we'll see.” In this situation they were wrong, I was right. Because they selected people who would look great on TV, who would be liked by people and who would dance cool. I almost reached the final. But because they didn't understand, I could have been eliminated at the very beginning. If it weren't for my persistence, this would have been the case. This shows that I was right.

What was the most difficult thing during the project for you as a professional?

Alexander:

The most difficult thing was adapting to a different element. I grew up dancing and matured outside of this industry. And they have their own rules, their own method of production. It was difficult for me because my body doesn't work that way. My body works differently. These people have been accustomed for decades to hammering “eight eights” into themselves in a row and repeating the number of times takes half an hour. My body is used to hammering into itself “four beats, four beats, four beats” - half an hour of work and higher performance.

During the project, you probably had some envious people...

Alexander

: Let's call them "haters." From critics to envious people, all the people who don’t like what I do and the results I achieve, they consider undeserved. They can be divided into several categories. Most of the “haters” do not have complete information.

During the project I received four angry messages. I answered everyone. All four apologized. As one friend wrote to me: “Lucky you! Got into the TV. Now you are a star! You make a lot of money!” Behind this “luck” is twenty years of work, twenty years of daily training in the gym, twenty years of work on your body, choreography and image. But no one sees this! It seems to them that everything I have achieved is undeserved. They think I can put makeup on my face and dance. Although not a single person at the master class has yet been able to do something at the level of people who are even a little involved in “fusion.” And this makes them reconsider their views. So these are not so much envious people as people who do not have the full amount of information.

It’s clear that your fans supported you and wrote you some nice messages. Who else supported you? Maybe your girlfriend?

Alexander:

The whole family was supportive. My wife supported me. My school in St. Petersburg supported me, the people who worked with me. There were flash mobs in support of me in St. Petersburg. I only found out about this later. They arrived and occupied the hall. I have a fairly active audience. The buses rocked with the cry: “VOL-KOV! VOL-KOV!” They support me because I give what we don’t have yet. But we have no freedom. This is how it happened. I grabbed the whole season from the jury and choreographers for my freedom. There are a lot of people who support me.

Question: Were there any conflicts during your participation in the show? Maybe with other participants?

Alexander:

No, some were quietly annoying.
Open conflicts - why? I've been with these people on set for three months. And so under such stress. Some people were just quietly annoying, that's all. News on Notepad-Rostov-on-Don

Meeting of a businessman and a singer

Businessman Alexander Volkov was considered a very significant person in the backstage of show business. He was at the forefront of organizing the first tours abroad of Soviet artists. Having German citizenship, he achieved what his colleagues could not do.

After the collapse of the USSR, Volkov began organizing concert activities for many famous performers, including Lev Leshchenko. At this time, Katya Chuprina was a backing vocalist for the master. Having noticed a 22-year-old girl, the 46-year-old entrepreneur lost his head, falling in love with her like a boy.

Katya Lel's ex-husband Alexander Volkov has passed away

On September 7, famous businessman and ex-producer of singer Katya Lel Alexander Volkov passed away.
For 56-year-old Alexander Mikhailovich, the hot summer of 2007 became an omen of illness. Recently, Volkov has had a very difficult time withstanding high temperatures. Even doctors could not relieve the businessman’s attacks of pain. On Sunday, in one of the best hospitals in Berlin, Volkov's heart stopped beating. The producer's ex-wife Katya Lel was immediately notified about this.

The newspaper “Life” published the singer’s words of grief about her ex-producer and husband.

“The man suffered a lot for a long time, and, of course, may he rest in peace,” said the singer. “It’s very scary to be so sick in this life.” Despite the fact that the last four years of my life were very difficult thanks to this man, I still forgave him, let him go, and may his soul rest in peace. I am very sorry…

Katya Lel constantly found herself in conflict situations with the producer. However, this did not stop her from starting an intimate relationship with him. In 2006, the couple finally broke off the relationship, and even began dividing jointly acquired property in court. After the trial, Katya tried not to interfere with Volkov in her creative activities.

One of Volkov’s old friends can rightfully be called Lev Leshchenko, who, in fact, initiated the acquaintance of the singer Katya Lel, who was beginning at that time, and the famous producer Alexander Volkov. Lev Leshchenko, having learned about the grief that befell the businessman’s relatives, called them and expressed his condolences, which were published by Komsomolskaya Pravda journalists:

“He was one of the few who began to take our show business abroad. The first artists who came on tour to Germany were received very warmly - thanks to his efforts, he did everything possible to make them comfortable and convenient to work. He was a sincere and kind person who treated his friends with warmth. We maintained warm relations, and we would like to once again express through the newspaper our sad and sorrowful feelings to his family, friends, relatives and loved ones.

Back in 1980, Volkov was considered the most influential person in Soviet show business, because he turned out to be the only one who encouraged domestic performers to travel abroad for guest roles. By the way, he was the first to organize a concert abroad for Philip Kirkorov. And in the late 80s he organized a tour for Alla Borisovna. Then Pugacheva first appeared on the stage of Berlin. In addition, the best of the best: Joseph Kobzon, Alexander Rosenbaum, Sofia Rotaru, used his services. Volkov was engaged not only in musical activities - Alexander Mikhailovich was a unique restaurateur. At one time, he opened a chain of Japanese restaurants in the capital of Russia, Kyiv and London.

Love and money invested

Charming the provincial beauty, the businessman promised to throw everything at her feet, including helping her achieve success on the star Olympus. In eight years, thanks to the funds invested in her, the unknown backing vocalist turned into a Russian pop star. Volkov did not skimp on paying for his beloved’s education in London; he spent huge sums on promoting the singer, buying her those bright songs by which we still remember Katya Lel. Despite the primitiveness of the lyrics, her songs won our fans and allowed her to take her place among famous performers.

Katya Lel spoke about her relationship with her first producer. According to the singer, as soon as she became popular and refused him, he tried to destroy her.

Katya Lel became a guest of the program “Hello, Andrey!” on "Russia 1". For the first time in many years, the artist was able to discuss the painful topic of conflict with former producer Alexander Volkov. It was the influential man who stood at the origins of the popularity of the future star. He helped her record new songs, looked for a suitable creative group for the young artist, but at the same time counted on something more than work cooperation. Lel admitted that she did not love Volkov. He was married, and for the young singer this was an insurmountable obstacle. “I immediately told him that the role of a mistress would destroy me. Therefore, she stated that she agreed to bear him children, but only in a legal marriage. He couldn't leave his family. And then my popularity caught up with me, and he began to be jealous. I thought that now I don’t need him, because I have a multimillion-dollar army of fans. After that, the trials began, he wanted to basically ban me from performing, deprive me of everything,” the artist shared her memories.

Katya Lel with her husband and daughter

For four years, the star fought to maintain her popularity. She defended the right to perform her famous hits in court and ultimately won. According to Lel, for a long time she did not believe that Volkov was really sick, because she considered the news about his well-being a way to return to the old relationship. One way or another, Katya was able to overcome herself and wrote an SMS to the former producer with touching words of support. Alexander Volkov died in 2008 after a long battle with a serious illness. However, Katya Lel still experiences certain problems in terms of promoting new songs.

“Some of his friends are still cutting off my oxygen, not allowing me to perform at some music venues. I remember how before my colleagues in show business wouldn’t even greet me. They were afraid that his anger would overtake them too. He was a very influential man, but he did not take into account my strength and perseverance. “In the end, by some miracle, I won both in court and in this war as a whole,” said the artist. Now Katya Lel has the opportunity to record and perform songs on any platform. However, the artist cannot forget how they tried to drown her using power and brute force. According to the star, because of this conflict, her relationships with almost all her friends deteriorated. Only the most faithful and devoted friends remained next to the artist.

From love to hate

This breakup was very difficult for the singer. She had to go through a series of trials for the right to retain her stage name, songs and that recognizable image in which Volkov’s funds were invested. The offended man, not wanting to leave his former lover alone, decided to punish her by taking away everything in which his money was invested. Endless trials began, ending only with the entrepreneur’s incurable illness. After some time, he died of oncology, never having forgotten or forgiven Katya Lel.

Friends of the singer and businessman say that Alexander loved Katya so much that he used this exhausting enmity as another reason to stay close to her.

Alexander Volkov insulted the producers of the series “The Return of Mukhtar”

Alexander Volkov played Maxim Zharov in the popular TV series “The Return of Mukhtar”, Igor in the multi-part film “Wedding Ring” on Channel One. He left Mukhtar. He left the “ring” three times, then returned.

There are rumors in the film community about the complex character of the textured artist, supposedly capricious and quarrelsome. But this is not true. Faina Ranevskaya once said very accurately: “I don’t have a complex character. I just have it!”

We met at the Dombay Echo 2012 film festival, where the public’s favorite came with his family - his wife Taisiya and two older children: daughter Alexandra and son Nikolai.

“If I were a woman, I would become a brilliant priestess of love”

— The long-running “soap opera” “The Wedding Ring,” which ended recently, was criticized only by the lazy.

— I’ll say right away: all the actors worked honestly, exhaustingly. 15 hours a day, for weeks without days off. The script was... a complete madhouse, if you perceive it adequately, you will go crazy. For example, such “pearls”: “I’ve known all my life that you don’t love me. But I realized this only now!” “It’s okay, we’re at the hospital!” “How could you leave the children alone with Aunt Zina?” Or they wrote in the script: “Nastya is tormented by flashbacks.” I also remember this “pointer” in the script: “The actors must play the scene very emotionally. So that the viewer, carried away by the actors’ performance, does not understand the logic of what is being said.” This is crazy! The actors must yell so that the audience does not understand that they are talking nonsense?!

I left the series three times. Why did you come back? The reasons are different. Basically, I wanted to do at least something in the profession. Plus, the producers begged: well, let's try again, so they changed the scriptwriters. And it was like I was jumping into cold water: suddenly, it would really start to turn into a movie. But it didn’t work out.

— Was it easier to work on “The Return of Mukhtar,” a series that viewers adored?

“The fact that the film turned out well and that people loved the story is entirely thanks to the amazing film crew. If it weren't for them, nothing would have been filmed. I personally have a lot of questions for the production team. And of course, to the screenwriters. For example, in the script they wrote: “Mukhtar climbs from one sixth-floor balcony to another!” Or “Mukhtar smiled.” Mukhtar is a dog, in case anyone has forgotten. An amazing dog named Weiss (we called him Vasya), the dog is a genius. Two cabinets of medals. Champion of Ukraine, Russia. He could execute any command. But the team is reasonable. Vaska was tortured and forced to play for 12 hours or more. He could no longer stand up or sit down. He was 10 years old. By human standards - 70. There must be respect! There was no respect for people either. There wasn’t even a toilet installed during the filming, but they filmed in the center of Kyiv. They relieved their needs wherever necessary. I remember walking away a little, and suddenly a boy came up to me: “can I have an autograph?” You can't imagine how I screamed. I was ashamed. Not for yourself, but for all of us. Representatives of culture, motherfucker! There was a toilet on the set. It lasted a week, then it was removed again.

I told the producers: you are untalented! Not because you don’t know how, but because you don’t want to be able to. They took the money back and the grass didn’t grow. The producers said more than once: “oh well, people are eating it.” This is not "people"! These are our children, they watch TV. There is not and cannot be such a format - “format go.na”! I’m actually tired of fighting the system, but I have to fight it.

Of course, there are worthy producers, and I also worked and met with them. But I would really like to see more professionals in this profession.

I would act with a good director. But they don't know my phone number. Now there is a casting for the main role in a film about Mayakovsky, my favorite author. His poems just tear me in half: “People of the future, who are you? Here I am, all pain and bruises. I give you the fruit garden of my great soul.” This is my role, I'm sure of it. But I can't even get an audition. There is a cliché - “serial artist”... An actor is like an unfucked prostitute. I want to be hired, but I'm not needed.

— Do you regret choosing such a difficult profession?

- I'm sorry. But this is not a profession, but a diagnosis, I am infected with acting. I get a kick, maybe even from the pain that the profession brings. Like a woman who gives birth to a child, it hurts, but she is happy, she gave life. “Giving birth to a role” - when I talk about this, people sometimes look at me like I’m an idiot. An actor is a person who gives. He is a donor. I have a psychological need to give of myself. If I were a woman, I would either be a wonderful wife, or such a priestess of love that people would line up for me. I need it that way, I live by giving. I want it, that’s how I’m physiologically designed. The wife says: Sanya, calm down, don’t think, just live. But I “just” can’t.

“I won’t climb onto the balcony anymore”

— Is it difficult with you, so emotional and correct, wife?

- Yes, she says: “I’m with you like in a war.” But it’s also a thrill!” (smiles)

— Taisiya seemed to me to be very calm in character.

- Usually yes, she is calm. Although sometimes he gets hysterical, be healthy. I then ask her: “Well, why did you pull out my brain?” The woman’s brilliant response: “San, I really wanted to act like an ass!” (laughs.)

- How did you meet?

— I lived in the village of Snegiri near Moscow, and Taya’s parents had a dacha there. We've been together for 13 years. They say: everyday life is boring. Yes, it sticks! I used to climb onto the balcony with flowers, but now I’ll think ten times: what if I break my leg, who will feed the children? (smiles)

— Isn’t your wife jealous of your fans?

- Jealous. But my fans are mostly funny. Today, for example, two girls came up. One asks me: “Tell me, is that you?” “No,” I answer, “not me.” How else can you answer such a question? Of course, I am me. (smiles). And the girl turns to her friend: “Well, I told you – it’s not him!” (laughs)

— 8 months ago, you and Taisiya had a son. Was the birth of your third child planned?

“I said: Tayunchik, I would like a third child.” But, of course, it's up to you to decide. And during the war we gave birth and raised them, we will feed them, we will raise them. My wife said: you know, I thought about this too. And Georgy Alexandrovich was born. A serious comrade - he yells loudly and gives us a light. I took after my father. (laughs) Now he is with his grandmother, she agreed to look after... I always put creativity above family, Taya was even offended. Now he’s grown up, or what? — I realized that creativity is family.

If there were no loved ones and relatives, there would be no such desire to go on stage and maybe even die in some role.

About leaving Mukhtar:

“The filming took place in Kyiv, and I practically didn’t see my family. In addition, they changed the dog, the producers quarreled. I don’t want to tell this story, it’s not important. But I didn’t understand: how is it possible to remove my partner, Vaska, from the series because of a domestic quarrel? He became like a brother to me, a part of me. This was the last straw and I left. But I still have many friends in Kyiv. The people are great! Somewhere in the echelons of power they say: we have difficult relations with Ukraine, “Khokhols”, “not crests”. It's all politics. “Higher echelons” - for me they are “lower”. Rat race.
