Childhood
In the winter of 1981, a boy was born in Smolensk, whom his parents named Maxim. From childhood he grew up hardworking and funny. During his school years, he took part in amateur performances, attended various clubs, and was the life of any company.
Maxim Kiselev in childhood
Having entered the local branch of the Moscow Energy Institute in 1998, the freshman became a member of the institute’s KVN team. “Apparently, something was added to my food then, and this is what it led to,” jokes Maxim when asked about what brought him to the Club of the Cheerful and Resourceful. According to another version, the girl from whom he came to ask for notebooks with lectures gave an ultimatum: he would receive them only if he wrote a speech for the freshman's initiation day.
The guy agreed and wrote brilliant material. After that, he decided to create his own KVN team and named it “Triod and Diode” according to the university profile. In 2000, the team with its permanent captain Maxim Kiselev also performed in the student theater of humorous miniatures.

The most memorable was the anniversary international festival of KVN teams in Sochi, held in 2004. Maxim, with his image of a simple guy from the outback, was remembered by all participants and spectators of this enchanting performance. In the same year, the guys became winners of the Ryazan League.
Alexey Kiselev: “I’m a little crazy”
Alexey Kiselev
If you regularly view gossip columns, you are probably familiar with Alexey Kiselev. Contrary to general opinion, Kisa, as everyone calls him, is not a party animal, and does not like this word. The son of journalist Evgeny Kiselyov has managed to do everything by the age of 32: he studied abroad, launched a clothing brand, and opened his own bar. Now Alexey is a creative director of cinema, and also a director of special projects for a glossy magazine and a restaurateur: together with Rezo Gigineishvili, he opened the Georgian restaurant Patara on Patriarch's Street, where we meet. Kisa talks willingly about her life and career—there’s nothing to hide. Surely, you have heard about Alexey’s union with it girl Ida Lolo - at that time only the lazy did not talk about them. About life after divorce and your plans - frankly on Grazia.
We are now sitting in the Patara restaurant, which you opened together with Rezo. Tell us how you came up with the idea of launching a Georgian restaurant?
Rezo Gigineishvili and I sat at the same desk in the seventh grade. He is my childhood friend, my best friend. When we were little, we often walked here on Patrick's Day, and there was only one cool place, Donna Clara. We thought it would be cool to open something of our own here. At their country house, Rezo and Nadya are helped in the kitchen by an amazing Georgian woman who prepares incredible food. I came once, then again, and realized that Georgian food is not only satsivi and khachapuri. This is a huge number of very tasty dishes. And since I already had experience in this business, opening a restaurant was not difficult. My task is to promote this place, open several more, and not only in Russia.
What happened to your previous bar, Kisa Bar?
At Kisa Bar, I had a conflict with the owner of the premises, who suddenly decided to take over the concept of my bar, which did not correspond to our original agreements. I took my name, and then our paths diverged.
Why didn't you reopen it?
Didn't find the right room. If I find it, I'll open it right away. And I hope that everyone who felt at home at Kisa Bar will go there.

What else besides journalism and restaurant? I heard that you are still working at a film company.
I am not a journalist or a secular columnist, as many people think. I am the director of special projects at L'Officiel magazine. I come up with shoots, find heroes, help shoot covers, and organize events for our publication in Russia and abroad. But my main job is as a creative film director. There I report to Rezo, with whom I do everything: from jointly preparing scripts to creating poster concepts. I am learning a lot from Rezo and am ready to do everything I can for “Sky”. Restaurant and magazine are extra. I also want to create a PR management company that would employ professionals from different fields: fashion, cinema. The recent collaboration with Mercury can be considered a breakthrough; we brought Carine Roitfeld to Moscow, who has been helping me with business and advice for many years, and recently I have also been working with her son Vladimir. Vlad has been selling art for a long time; I’m not his help here (laughs). But he is also the president of CR, which includes CR Studio and CR Fashion Book. There is interest in what Karin is doing in Russia, and we understood this, including when she met with Mercury representatives in Moscow. Unfortunately, I can’t give you the details yet, but I hope the hint is clear.
There is little information about you. Tell us about your childhood. Where did you start?
I grew up in Moscow when everything was just beginning: I tried cola for the first time, I went to McDonald’s for the first time. By the way, I stood in this famous line when it opened on Pushkinskaya. Then at some point I went to study in London. But I was quickly kicked out of school: I didn’t fit in. Then I went to study in America, it was cool there. He returned to Moscow, got married and left with his wife back to London. There I also studied at Saint Martins to become a designer, then studied at a business school, and then launched my own clothing brand, Kisa. But a crisis happened and my investors decided not to finance the project anymore.
Don't you want to resume?
No, this is a passed stage.
Have you ever wanted to follow in your dad's footsteps?
In order to follow in my father’s footsteps, firstly, you need to have an unrealistic education, and, secondly, the journalism that my dad did is dead. In general, journalism no longer exists. I don't mean gloss, I'm talking about political journalism.
Okay, so you've returned from London. What's next?
I haven’t lived in Moscow for ten years, I started meeting a huge number of new people, and renewed old relationships. But, by the way, I still haven’t gotten used to Moscow life. I felt calmer in London.
But everyone associates you with secular society, with parties.
Perhaps, but I'm not a party animal. Sociable - yes. But I only go to events that interest me. This is a unique job: you meet the right people at parties. This is how projects arise. And if I didn’t go anywhere, then maybe there wouldn’t be anything important or interesting in my life. “Hanging out” is just the wrong word. Because “party people” are people who make a living by appearing at events. I am not one of them. Last month, for example, I didn’t go anywhere at all. Did not want. I think they consider me secular because my dad is a very famous person.
Don't you want to leave Moscow again?
And I’m just moving to Paris: I’ll be in Moscow for half a month, there for half a month. I have several projects coming up soon, so it would be better for me to be in France.
Will you go with your son?
No, one. Georgiy must stay here and finish school. And then I would like him to continue his studies in America.
It's your decision?
No, that's what he wants too. And who to study for - he decides for himself. I'm not climbing. He does a lot of things very well: from photography to programming. If he does something poorly, I will tell him about it, of course, but I will not forbid him.
Tell us about your hobbies outside of work.
I play tennis, go to the gym, and run on Patricks. I go to the cinema, read books, if there are interesting exhibitions, I go to museums. By the way, I decided to try my hand at acting as well: I starred in the short story “Leningrad” by Renata Litvinova. The film, which included a short story, opened at Kinotavr this year. It was cool to be on the other side, so to speak. I like to do something new, I'm up for anything. In this sense, I admire James Franco - he does just everything: from dumb comedies to fashion brand campaigns.
I think James is a little crazy.
So what? I'm a little crazy too. Everyone is crazy in their own way. The main thing is to remain yourself.
Do you have any hobbies?
My hobby is work. Do different projects, parties. By the way, they often write that I am a promoter. But I never was. A promoter is a person who gathers guests for a party, sends SMS to a hundred different people, distributes flyers and, most importantly, works for the establishment. And I have never worked for an establishment, I always have a share. Yes, I throw parties, but this is not promotion, but just a desire to gather close friends and have a good time.
How do you generally combine work and personal life?
Somehow it turns out calmly, I don’t work in an office, for example, from nine to six. I’m returning home, going somewhere. True, he got divorced twice, but definitely not because of work.
By the way, about women. You once said that you wouldn’t marry again for a long time.
I don’t set such a goal, that’s for sure, but I also believe in love, no matter how strange it may sound in our time. Recently, for example, I met a fantastic girl, to whom I definitely won’t tell that I don’t plan to marry for a long time. Although I have been married twice, I believe that love and a wedding, as a celebration, are two different things. The main thing is sincerity and trust, and the stamp is formality.
What about your last marriage? Why did you divorce Ida Lolo?
I actually learned about the divorce from the press. It’s just that the man, apparently, decided to advertise for himself at my expense. As my dad said (this was his only comment on this matter): “You and Ida ate different porridges when you were kids.”
Was the relationship really that bad?
No, we just had different goals. She realized that I could not give her what she wanted. For her, love and relationships, and feelings, in principle, were not a priority. We don’t communicate at all now, but if we cross paths somewhere, I’ll tell her: “Hello.” I have a good upbringing.
How has your life changed since your divorce?
Immediately after the divorce, I went on vacation with friends to recover. I went in for sports and lost weight. Job offers began to arrive.
Would you be able to change your lifestyle for the sake of a woman?
Undoubtedly. In general, of course, it’s cool to have a person nearby who shares your interests and spends time in the same company. And not only with my friends, but also vice versa.
What if she will always be there? Follow you everywhere?
Please let him walk. I don't mind. This is cool. My first wife Maya and I spent all our time together: from studying and relaxing to work.
Why did you get divorced?
It happened. We were practically children when we got married, and over time our relationship transformed into friendship. But we are still on excellent terms and work together from time to time. I trust her completely and know that she will do everything perfectly.
I think it's very difficult to remain friends.
It's easier when you have common children.
Does your son live with you or with his mother?
My son lives with me and my mother. It’s just that when we arrived in Moscow from London, my wife had to stay there. And when she returned, they decided not to change anything. Besides, my mother helps Maya and me a lot.
Why then didn’t this happen to Ida?
It just didn't happen. We are adults, and it’s strange for me to explain something to someone. I can say one thing. I really miss her pug Zach! (Laughs)
Favorite places in Moscow?
Patara, of course. "Simachev" still. In general, the club culture has disappeared in Moscow; everyone now goes to bars. I believe that there are generally few decent places to relax - you have to look for them.
Is it better abroad?
In this sense, yes. There are special areas there: Chinese, Japanese, I don’t know - for every taste. District of artists, district of writers. But in our country, the party culture originated about twenty years ago, and there it’s already a long history. Everything is just beginning for us. Just like the Patricks.

Career in KVN
After graduating from the Faculty of Energy and Electrical Engineering, Kiselev worked for seven years as an economist in the supply department of Smolenskenergo, until restructuring began in the system.
Maxim was laid off, and I had to think about how to live on. Cheerful and cheerful Maxim removed his portrait from the production honor board and decided to return to KVN. Remembering his first year and his performance at the student initiation evening, Kiselev again turned to his image of “the most intelligent gopnik,” as the team members called him. The Triod and Diod team returned and in 2008 won first place in the Premier League.
Performance by Maxim Kiselev in KVN When in 2009 the champions of the Premier League reached the finals of the Higher KVN League, the children’s joy knew no bounds. Kiselev managed to set up the team in such a way that 2010 brought them bronze, and 2012 brought them gold in the Major League. In addition, “Triod and Diod” have three “Voting KiViNs”, which the team received in Jurmala (2012), Sochi (2013) and Svetlogorsk (2015).

Maxim admits that from time to time he has bouts of laziness. He can lie on the couch all day and watch cartoons. At these moments, his pets are with him: the cat Muse and the dog. The video blogger has several tattoos on his body. Kiselyov has been baptized, but this is not something special for him; he is rather biased towards religion.

“Once Upon a Time in Russia” and other projects
Maxim and his team began touring abroad in 2013. “Triod and Diode” was seen by residents of America and England, Israel and Germany. Without “breaking away from production,” Kiselev, together with another team member Andrei Skorokhod, accepted the TNT channel’s offer to participate in the humorous project “Once Upon a Time in Russia.”

Maxim’s original and vibrant characters became the highlight of the show. In addition to Kiselev, the project brought together a very friendly company, including David Tsallaev, Olga Kartunkova, Timur Lastochkin, David Taniya, Ekaterina Morgunova.
Kiselyov considers the filming of the film “One Left One” to be memorable. And although he played a very small role there as a hospital visitor, the impression from the filming process and from friendly communication with Dmitry Nagiyev, who played the main character in the science-fiction comedy, remained the best.
Maxim Kiselev from the KVN team “Triod and Diode” told a little about himself
The captain of the Smolensk KVN team “Triod and Diode” Maxim Kiselev spoke a little about himself and his plans in Express Gazeta.
The famous Smolensk kaveen player and comedian Maxim Kiselyov is 36 years old.
He became famous for his funny and satirical images in KVN. The head of the First TV channel, Konstantin Ernst, compared Maxim Kiselyov with the famous Soviet comedy film actor Savely Kramorov. Now Kiselyov not only performs in KVN, but also stars in the TV show “Once Upon a Time in Russia” on the TNT channel. The other day it became known that Maxim is going to marry a Smolensk woman whom he has known for a long time.
The Smolensk actor spoke about this and more in a frank interview in Express Gazeta:
– I have a technical education. I worked as an engineer for seven years at an energy company and was on the honor roll there. But then, when my service was abolished and they offered me to move to another job, I decided to take up KVN again, which I became interested in during my studies. He began working as an editor on a television program, and from then on everything went well.
Recently, together with Dmitry Nagiyev, he played an episode in the film “Left One”. The main difficulty for me was that the actors on set speak quietly, just like in real life. I’m used to expressing myself quite loudly on stage so that all the jokes get through to the audience. But I enjoyed communicating with Nagiyev.
This summer, June 10, will be the most important day in my life. After four years of dating, my girlfriend Maria and I decided to get married. She is a wonderful, beautiful and smart person, ten years younger than me. Works in the fashion industry. Our wedding will be big, on a grand scale: a lot of treats, a lot of artists, my friends will perform. And then I planned a very unusual and romantic trip, but I won’t tell you the details yet.
I met Masha in a nightclub in our Smolensk. And at first she didn’t really like me. But I can achieve my goals. We will have a wedding in our hometown, and we plan to live in Smolensk. I have an apartment there. In addition, I finally finished building a country house with a bathhouse, a garage and a beautiful gazebo on my site. So we are definitely not going to move to Moscow. To get what I have now, I saved for a long time. On travel, on restaurants, on expensive clothes. So I saved up. Masha should be erected a monument for waiting: I’m either filming, or at concerts, or on tour.
The entire interview with Maxim Kiselyov can be read on the Express Newspaper website.
Personal life of Maxim Kiselev
For a long time, Maxim remained single, although he was credited with having affairs with his KVN girlfriends. But when Maxim met a Smolensk girl working in the fashion industry, all rumors and assumptions disappeared by themselves. Four years of romantic relationship between Maxim and Masha Tsygankova culminated in a magnificent wedding in 2020. The husband is ten years older than his wife, but this difference did not become an obstacle to legal marriage.

The couple still lives in Smolensk, and after all the celebrations they went to the Dominican Republic for their honeymoon, which they later told their followers on Instagram, also posting photos with their happy, rested faces and videos about the trip.
Fans of the artist noticed his resemblance to Croatian football player Domagoj Vida. However, they believe, “ours is more beautiful.”

Personal life
Maxim’s personal life began to attract the attention of fans only in 2013. Then, in a nightclub, the showman met fellow countryman Maria Tsygankova, who was 10 years younger. The comedian’s chosen one was a girl who had nothing to do with show business. Masha worked in the fashion industry in Moscow and returned to Smolensk for Kiselev’s sake.

On June 7, 2020, the lovers legalized their relationship at the registry office, and 3 days later they had a wedding outdoors in a colonial style. After the ceremonial events, together with his young wife, Maxim went on a honeymoon to the sea coast. On his personal Instagram page, the actor shared photos and videos from the sunny Dominican Republic with fans. There are no children in the family yet.
Fans of the comedian are interested in Maxim’s family ties with journalist and TV presenter Dmitry Kiselev. Judging by the information posted on social networks, they are only namesakes.
Maxim Kiselev now
When Kiselyov was asked what his dream was, Maxim, as was his habit, jokingly replied that he would like to wear a Superman costume.
But seriously, the aspiring actor dreams of roles in a big movie. Meanwhile, he continues to star in regular episodes of “Once Upon a Time in Russia,” performs with his “Triod and Diode” at corporate events, and devotes all his free time to his beloved wife and hobby.
In November 2020, Maxim, together with Dmitry Sokolov from Ural Dumplings, took part in the show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” and won 200 thousand rubles. In April 2020, the artist appeared in the video for the song “Wild” by Ukrainian singer Alina Grosu. Maxim Kiselev in Alina Grosu’s video “Wild”
Kiselev Maxim
Russian comedian. Player in KVN team "Triod and Diode". Champion of the KVN Premier League. Participant in the humorous television show on the Russian TNT channel “Once Upon a Time in Russia”.
Maxim Kiselev was born on January 29, 1981 in the city of Smolensk. The ability to look at life with a sense of humor determined the future of this guy. After graduating from school No. 39, he entered the Moscow Energy Institute, whose branch was located in Smolensk. The young man chose the Faculty of Energy and Electrical Engineering, where he met in the KVN game.
Having received a university diploma in 2004, Kiselev went to work in his specialty, getting a job at Smolenskenergo and establishing himself as a very responsible and competent specialist. He worked at this place for seven years. He worked in the supply department as an economist. However, as a result of the restructuring of Smolenskenergo, his position was reduced. It was then that Maxim decided to focus all his energy on playing KVN.
Maxim Kiselev’s passion for the game came by chance. In my first year at university, I went to see a classmate to ask for a notebook with lectures. But the girl set a condition: if you agree to speak at the student initiation, you will receive lectures. Maxim, of course, agreed. Moreover, appearing on stage as an artist did not bother him in any way, since since childhood he felt free in public and was known as the soul of any company.
Kiselev wrote several jokes and came up with humorous skits that went off with a bang at the student initiation evening. The children liked the festive atmosphere and the applause in which the audience bathed the performers so much that they decided to continue performing. For this purpose, students, led by an already emerging leader in the person of Maxim Kiselev, decided to create a KVN team, calling it “Triod and Diode”.
In 2000, team captain Maxim Kiselev suggested trying to perform as a student theater of humorous miniatures. For the next five years, “Triod and Diode” delighted audiences in many cities across the country with its brilliant performances. The team visited more than twenty festivals, which took place in Orel, Kursk, Cheboksary, Bryansk.
Kiselev has been the permanent face and captain of the team all these years. In 2004, “Triod and Diode” took part for the first time in the 15th international KVN festival in Sochi. It is impossible to imagine this team without Kiselev himself. The memorable appearance of this somewhat gloomy blond, the image he created of a rustic provincial gopnik with a primordially Russian prototype of behavior immediately etched itself in the memory of fans of the game in KVN.
At the same time, simplicity is only a stage image of Maxim. In fact, Kiselev is an extremely erudite and thoughtful person, otherwise such sharp jokes on the topic of the day could not have been born in his head. At the same time, one cannot help but note Maxim’s very bright leadership qualities: he is an unconditional authority for his colleagues in the shop.
Since 2013, Maxim Kiselev’s team has entered the international arena. The guys are actively touring. We visited Germany, England, USA, Israel. Their ability to entertain any audience, be it a corporate event or a performance in a large concert hall, brought the Smolensk KVN players well-deserved fame. As for the “engine” of the team, Maxim Kiselev, he has many titles and awards, including vice-champion of the KVN league in Ryazan, champion of the KVN Premier League and others that can be listed for a long time.
In 2014, TNT aired the humorous show “Once Upon a Time in Russia.” The sketches that are performed on stage feature the brightest players, favorites of the public, most of whom come from the KVN game. Among them, Maxim Kiselev occupies a prominent place.
The comedy melodrama “Left One” became Maxim’s first experience in cinema. On the set I met another former KVN player, Mikhail Galustyan, the film’s producer. Among Kiselev’s partners: Dmitry Nagiev, Konstantin Kryukov, Polina Gagarina. The picture told the story of a talented sculptor, into whose hand a woman’s soul enters. To fulfill the next order, he has to control one right limb.
In 2020, Maxim starred in the video for the group “Hands Up!” to the song “Fuck this pride.” The music video, which is more like a mini-movie, has received more than 14 million views on YouTube. In the same year, Kiselev took part in the show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.” Together with Dmitry Sokolov, he won 200 thousand rubles. In 2020, he appeared in the filming of singer Alina Grosu’s video for the song “Wild”.
