The biography of Boris Korchevnikov is the story of a popular and incredibly lucky man. He was born in July 1982 in the capital of our Motherland into a single-parent family.

The boy spent all his free time in the theater with his mother. He was not afraid to speak in front of people and knew absolutely everything that was going on behind the scenes. At the age of 8, Borya became the youngest member of the Moscow Art Theater troupe. Oleg Tabakov trusted him with roles in such productions as “Boris Godunov”, “Sailor’s Silence”, “The Cabal of the Holy One”. The boy liked to participate in the last production most of all, because he lay in the harpsichord case and looked at the auditorium through the crack.

The boy was great at drawing portraits of people he saw in the theater or on the street.

The boy did not think of productions as backbreaking work. He was just playing and was glad that there was more applause in his honor than others. Boris easily remembered big roles, but did not want to get involved with the theater, choosing the profession of an international journalist. The boy often came to castings for TV presenters and finally got lucky. Eleven-year-old Boris was hired to host the “Tam-Tam News” program, and at sixteen he was entrusted with becoming the host of the “Tower” youth project.

Having finished school well, the young man applied to two higher educational institutions - the Moscow Art Theater and Moscow State University for the Faculty of Journalism. Boris went to both institutes, but chose journalism. The guy studied easily, but he was definitely not good at the style of Russian speech, an exam in which Boris passed six times.

While still studying at Moscow State University, he worked as a freelance correspondent and prepared sensational reports for the NTV channel. And in 2008 he left NTV and became a presenter at STS, where he also worked as director of regional broadcasting. He led documentary projects, and his investigative films invariably caused a resonance. In 2020, he was a co-host of the “Immortal Regiment” event.

He starred in the TV series and television films “Airborne Father”, “The Thief”, “Another Life”, “Black Sheep”. The guy’s role in the youth series “Kadetstvo” brought him popularity among women and all-Russian love. While filming in it, Korchevnikov arrogantly thought that experience and age would help him star in the project without problems. This turned out to be completely wrong, so the guy was helped by such meters as Porokhovshchikov, Andreev and Steklov.

The guy always takes care of his health and fitness, he dresses beautifully. In 2020, he left the Russia-1 channel and began broadcasting on the Orthodox channel Spas.

Recently there was information that Boris Korchevnikov was dying because he had cancer. In one of the “Live” programs, he himself spoke about how he defeated oncology and called for prayer for those who suffer from this disease. According to Boris, he had a benign brain tumor that affected the auditory nerve, which was successfully operated on.

By the way, Korchevnikov himself does not like to talk about oncology and claims that after learning about the diagnosis, he began to prepare for death. Recently they started saying that the tumor had returned and become malignant, but Boris does not comment on this information.

Novaya Gazeta journalist Irina Petrovskaya noted that none of the program participants called these ambiguous words sacrilege and blasphemy, which they very actively accused the group members of. In an interview, Boris Korchevnikov explained that he meant “the same thing that the Church means when calling the Mother of God the mother of all Christians, and the main prayer to the Lord - starting with the words “Our Father.”

The changes in the talk show “Live” are not related to my health. Yes, it’s difficult to call it ideal, but show me absolutely healthy people.”

Personal life of Boris Korchevnikov

Boris Korchevnikov is not married. By the way, in one of the interviews, the TV presenter said that due to the lack of personal life, he still lives with his mother, but understands that “this is wrong.” To explain the situation, Boris Vyacheslavovich cites words from the Bible, which say, “a man will leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife,” and since his personal life is not yet settled, “this small apartment in Moscow is enough for me.”

In turn, the bachelor’s mother noted that Boris needs a very patient woman, and his son will be “a very difficult husband.”

As you know, the woman raised him alone without a husband and, according to her, was forced to keep Boris under “a tight rein.” Korchevnikov himself says that he suffered from the absence of a father, who for a very long time could not achieve meetings with the child.

Personal life of Boris Korchevnikov

The personal life of Boris Korchevnikov, like all the young and famous, is full of acquaintances and amorous stories. However, Boris is a devout man and, according to Orthodox custom, is in no hurry to start numerous novels and enter into casual relationships.

Of the most significant novels that have become public, one can talk about his relationship with model Anna Odegova. The young people hid their relationship, but the ubiquitous paparazzi unearthed them and exposed them to the journalist’s fans. The latter, by the way, approved of Boris’s choice, because the girl was beautiful, talented, bright, but not at all spoiled.

Anna received an excellent higher education and is fluent in four foreign languages. She graduated from a modeling school and a music school in parallel with her secondary education.

They say that Odegova and Korchevnikov met while studying at Moscow State University. The young people dated for eight years, but Boris’s mother, whom he idolizes, was against their relationship. The guy began to cheat on Anna, and then called her on the phone and told her that their relationship had already outlived its usefulness.

Anna Odegova had a very hard time with the collapse of her relationship with Boris Korchevnikov; she plunged headlong into her career.

Facing my homosexuality

I remember how one day, then a high school student, I returned home from school. I said hello to my mother and was about to take a packet of chips from the table and go to my room, when suddenly I heard one interesting phrase from a talk show that was on TV: “Today! You will meet homosexuals who always knew they were homosexuals,” shouted the TV show host. Chewing loudly on my chips, I pretended that this topic was not at all interesting to me. But this was not true.

For as long as I could remember, I always liked looking at the male body. I, of course, had girlfriends, I even liked being in their company, but I much preferred the time in the shower after our physical education classes.

I'm gay?

While watching the talk show, I began to think about things that I myself found difficult to believe. “Am I gay?” “Maybe I’ve always been gay?” The fight has begun...

Over the next 8 months, I struggled with hundreds of questions about my sexuality. Already in college I could watch gay porn 4-5 times a week. I thought about how, once, when I was in the 6th grade, I invited my friend Tima home for a sleepover, and in the middle of the night I woke up because I felt his touch on me. I liked the way he touched me then.

When I began experimenting with my sexuality in college, I also encountered a problem in my spiritual life. Yes, yes, of course, I knew... my parents and those around me told me that: “homosexuality is a sin.” I knew this and did not need reminders. And so I decided within myself not to tell anyone about the struggle I was going through from the inside. I pushed it deep inside myself, and never let these experiences out.

But the longer I went to college, the more the “shove and hide” approach began to crack. I became more lonely, sad, and more and more depressed every day. My number of friends has decreased significantly, and the meaning of friendship has lost its significance in my eyes. I wanted to meet someone who would accept me and love me unconditionally.

Sexual crossroads

The worst night of my life was the night of December 11, 2002. An old friend named Mike invited me to his place for a beer. One bottle turned into seven, and it ended with Mike and I having sex. The next thing I can consciously remember is waking up at 2:34 a.m. with a hangover in my neighbor Mike's bed. At that moment, I felt like a vile guy and guilty beyond my ability. As if I were the lowest and most insignificant person alive. I wanted to die... and I even seriously thought about ending my life.

I arrived home, struggled to my bed, locked the door to my dorm room, and spent the next two days sobbing. Summoning what little courage I had left, not knowing where this would all lead, I picked up the phone and dialed the number of my youth pastor, Todd. I don’t know why I decided to call Todd, but “at least,” I thought then, “he’ll listen to me.”

So, I told him in detail the whole story of my life. “Todd, I think I'm gay. Can I tell you what was going on inside me?” I took off the mask I had worn for 21 years. After listening to my monologue for half an hour, there was a long pause. And then Todd spoke. “Well, it has begun,” I thought. “Now he will tell me what a terrible sinner I am. And he will be right."

Todd said, "Oh, James, I'm so, so sorry." "What??? What do you regret?” Todd continued, "I'm really, really sorry that you had to go through all of this alone all these years."

New Hope

He didn't judge me, he didn't criticize me, he just treated me with love. And that was all I ever wanted. Todd told me, “I will be by your side as long as you need it. I want you to know that no matter what happens, you are loved and accepted. And I will always be by your side." And Todd really felt that way. I could believe him because there was confidence in his voice. Before we said goodbye, Todd told me, “James, I know the one word you need for your life... hope.” Hope? Yes, you're laughing at me! Didn't you hear my story?

Todd and I talked every day for the next two weeks. He taught me about love, forgiveness, truth and grace. I've heard a lot of this before because I've been going to church since I was a kid. But this time spiritual things had a radically different meaning in my life.

God was not a callous, dry old man in a rocking chair, He was a Person who knew me. He was not afraid to see the internal struggle in me. And He understood well what I was going through. Todd showed me a Bible verse from Hebrews chapter 4 that said, “who has been in all points tempted as we are.” Are you really saying that Jesus understands my temptation, and my pain... even my homosexuality?

“James, have you ever considered that God isn’t surprised by what you’ve done?” asked Todd. He continued:

Sin in your life is the very reason Jesus came to this earth and died. You didn't think that Jesus died for all sins except homosexuality, did you?

Indeed, I thought so. Moreover, I hid it so carefully all my life that I could not even think that God knew everything about my secret. Maybe there is some other hope for the future for me?

Todd presented God to me in a different light than I had previously imagined. Todd showed me in the Bible what God says about Himself, and frankly, I had it all wrong. He was not an evil God who only thought of rejecting me as the world did. But He was rather a kind and compassionate God, slow to anger and full of love.

Somewhere in the midst of these conversations, I discovered that I was attracted to the person of Jesus. Instead of a hard and demanding God, he is clearly revealed in the Bible as one who can be approached. And actually, even more than that. God was not passively neutral towards me. Jesus wanted to have a relationship with me, a homosexual. Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest; Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:28-30). I realized that God wanted a relationship with me. I responded to His call, asked Him to forgive all my sins, and help me become the person He wanted me to be.

There weren't fireworks in the sky when I invited Jesus into my life, but He did light me up from the inside out. And over the next two years, Jesus and I went on a journey to heal my heart. Finally I wasn't alone. Hope.

God showed me who I was, made me feel pure inside for the first time, and helped me heal from the pain of memories of childhood sexual abuse. God himself satisfied my need for love, and then he gave me real friendship with the kind of guys I always dreamed of being friends with. He made me a completely new person. I could go on and on about how else Jesus has changed my life, but more than anything else, I finally, I finally found a relationship with Someone who will never leave me and who loves me unconditionally.

With God living in me and showing His life through me, with His help, I subsequently made the decision to leave my homosexual lifestyle. But it didn't happen overnight. I got married 7 months ago and my relationship with my wife is much, much more intimate than anything I ever experienced with a guy. I wouldn't trade for all the treasures in the world what she and I have in our marriage to each other.

I also have great friendships with about five guys... and we're quite a loud group!

In recent years, I have met many students who are worried about their homosexuality. And I always tell them the same thing: “You don’t have to get clean before you come to Jesus.” If the world, your family, the church, politicians, or anyone else rejects you, remember that Jesus was there for the rejected when He was on earth. This is His invitation to everyone: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Relationships based on true love

Trust Jesus. Accept Him and you will experience the kind of love you have always dreamed of having in a relationship.

Someone may doubt: “But why can I find real support in God? Can He even give me hope in life?” The answer the Bible gives us is “absolutely.” I will give examples of three biblical heroes whose lives were touched by God.

Sarah: Here is a woman with no hope. She was sterile, which was extremely shameful in her culture. Her husband's family line was about to end, and it was all her fault. The clouds thickened even more. Although God promised to give them a son, Sarah ran out of patience. Instead of waiting for God's promise, she took control of the situation and encouraged her husband to sleep with another woman, their maid. To further complicate matters, when God in his mercy came to her and reminded her again of his promise to give her and Abraham their own son, Sarah laughed at God's words. But despite all this, God kept his promise. He gave Sarah a child named Isaac, who would become a distant ancestor of Jesus. God gives hope to the hopeless. (The story of Sarah is recorded in Genesis chapters 11-15.)

David: Murderer! Adulterer! Coward! Traitor! Liar! All these labels were hung on David and all of them undeniably accurately characterized him at certain moments of his life. David's life, even by modern standards, looks worse than most soap operas. And yet God called David “a man after God’s own heart.” Why did it happen? David simply came to God and said: “Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy, and according to the multitude of Your compassions blot out my iniquities. Wash me often from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin, for I am aware of my iniquities, and my sin is always before me. I have sinned against You, You alone, and have done what is evil in Your sight” (Psalm 50:1-4). And God responded, giving hope for a hopeless life.

Pavel: He had only one goal in life - to kill everyone who did not share his religious beliefs. He broke into people's houses and dragged them to prison. Being on the side of those in power, he was present at the reprisals against his victims, observing how those sentenced to death were stoned. But Jesus one day told Paul something that turned his life in a completely different direction. Paul, describing his past life, says that he lived among those “who had no hope and were without god in the world.” Paul continues by saying, “…among whom we also all once lived according to our fleshly lusts, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest, God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, and we, who were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ... in Christ Jesus you, who once were far off, have been made near..." (Ephesians 2:3-5, 13).

God, like us, has a track record. But unlike ours, God's track record is extremely consistent. We read the Bible from cover to cover and come to a firm conviction: God always brings hope where all is hopeless. And we will not be disappointed in our hope in God, because “the love of God has been poured out into our hearts” (the hearts of believers in Christ) through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us (Romans 5:5).

Boris Korchevnikov's wife and his wedding photo

Boris Korchevnikov and his wife wedding photo - contradictory information, since official sources say that the journalist and TV presenter claims that he does not have a wife.
He talks about how he is just friends with the girl and has no intention of marrying her. However, on many sites on the Internet you can see information that Boris married the charming Cecile Sverdlova. Also, the couple asked the priest of the Orthodox Church for permission to get married. The guy claims that the girl was his fiancée, but the matter did not come to a wedding. His father, shortly before his death, said that Cecile was not his lifelong friend, and his son would have another girlfriend.

Boris Korchevnikov's wife and his wedding photo

Korchevnikov broke up with his girlfriend painfully. The reason for the breakup is not stated, but the guy often says that she could not justify his trust and betrayed him. Although Boris claims that young people still have a chance to restore relationships and friendship.

The ex-wife of Boris Korchevnikov - Cecile Sverdlova

Boris Korchevnikov’s ex-wife, Cecile Sverdlova, was mistakenly classified by journalists and bloggers as his official spouse, however, the guy denies this, claiming that he is just communicating with a girl, without thinking about love. All photos from Boris and Cecile's wedding are described as nothing more than a high-level montage.

However, many of the guy’s relatives and acquaintances talk about Sverdlova as Korchevnikov’s common-law wife, but in the past tense. At the same time, many people associate the guy’s breakup with his common-law wife with the fact that his father, before his death, asked not to connect his life with Cecile.

One way or another, the parting was not easy, although it is said that the young people remained friends. It is worth clarifying that in a recent interview, Korchevnikov said that it is better to break up on time than to be betrayed by a loved one.

Family of Boris Korchevnikov

Boris Korchevnikov’s family was incomplete, since the boy did not know his father in childhood. Even his mother’s close friends had absolutely no idea who little Borenka’s dad was. There were rumors that Vladimir Berezin could be Boris's father, however, this turned out to be just ridiculous speculation.

Boris's mother, Irina Leonidovna, was Oleg Efremov's assistant at the Moscow Art Theater, and then rose to the rank of deputy director at the same theater. Since 2000, she has been in charge of the museum at the Moscow Art Theater and at the same time was the director of the Obraztsov Puppet Theater.

Family of Boris Korchevnikov photo Korchevnikov’s father, Vyacheslav Orlov, appeared in the boy’s life when he turned thirteen, and before that he did not support Borya either morally or financially. The man was in charge of the artistic and production process at the Mayakovsky Theater, and later became the director of the Pushkin Theater. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2020 after a long illness.

The son and father became close only just before the death of the latter. However, Boris did not know for a long time that Vyacheslav Orlov was married and had a half-sister. The father introduced his brother and sister only in intensive care, when he was dying.

The half-sister is twelve years older than Boris; she works as a primary school teacher. The woman is very similar in character to Korchevnikov. She does not like to give interviews and advertise her relationship with a famous presenter. My sister lives modestly and raises her daughter.

Childhood and youth

Boris Vyacheslavovich Korchevnikov is a native Muscovite born on July 20, 1982. The parents of the future star were directly related to creativity. Mom Irina Leonidovna is an honored cultural worker of the Russian Federation. Currently he occupies the chair of the director of the puppet theater named after S.V. Obraztsova. Father, Vyacheslav Evgenievich Orlov gave more than 30 years of his life to the Pushkin Theater, where he also held a management position. The relationship between Boris’s parents was so complicated that the boy grew up without a father. The meeting with him took place 13 years later.

Fact! Boris Korchevnikov has a half-sister, Natasha, they first met in the hospital, at the bedside of their dying father. Now they maintain warm friendly relations.

The mother was raising the child. She constantly took him to the theater. When Boris was 8 years old, Oleg Tabakov drew attention to him, offering him participation in one of the performances.

Thus, the young actor first appeared on stage with the Moscow Art Theater troupe. Productions with his participation:

  • "Cabal of the Saints";
  • "Boris Godunov";
  • “My dear, good ones”;
  • "Sailor's Silence"

The boy liked to be the center of attention and, characteristically, the child was not at all afraid of the stage. Due to his age, then it was interesting entertainment for him. As an adult, Boris dreamed of becoming a journalist. He took part in various castings and auditioned as a presenter of children's programs. Upon reaching the age of 11, he was invited to the program “There-There News” as a reporter, and then as a presenter.

Note! As a child, he interviewed Yuri Luzhkov, the mayor of Moscow.

The children's project aired on the RTR channel from 1994-1997. Work in the Tower program soon followed. Childhood and youth flew by unnoticed. The last call and adult life are ahead. The time when you need to decide on a profession. Having received a matriculation certificate, the young man submitted documents to the Moscow Art Theater Theater Studio and Moscow State University to the Faculty of Journalism. I stopped there.

The children of Boris Korchevnikov have not yet been born into this world, since the actor and presenter believes that this should happen in marriage. He dreams of a large and friendly family with several children.

Boris often says that only a loving woman who will not leave him and the kids can become the mother of his children. The fact is that the man grew up in a single-parent family without a father, so he knows firsthand how necessary the support and love of both parents is.

Currently, Boris is often busy with his niece, the daughter of his half-sister. He gains experience interacting with children, which will be useful to him in the future.

Memories of Boris Korchevnikov about his father

Former Live Broadcast presenter Boris Korchevnikov does not blame his father for the fact that his personal life with his mother did not work out. Shortly before the death of his parent, the TV presenter invited him to meet and talk. It turned out that the man was not healthy. Boris recalls that his father smoked constantly and drank a lot of coffee. The TV presenter understood that his father would soon die. He barely managed to hold back his tears. Despite the fact that Vyacheslav Evgenievich did not live with his family, Boris still does not consider him a stranger. He didn't want his father to die alone, so he was with him at that moment.

The presenter said that his father died holding his hand in his hand. During his lifetime, the father managed to introduce his son to his sister. Boris admitted that he was glad to find another loved one.

On the set with Andrei Malakhov

Boris Korchevnikov’s father suffered for a long time and tried to fight death. In an interview, the TV presenter said that his father was in a coma for several months. Boris tried to support him as best he could. It is painful for a man to realize that there is one less person close to him in the world. Having found his father only at the age of 13 (while periodically not communicating with him for several years), Boris still speaks of his parent with exceptional warmth.

It is worth noting that Vyacheslav Evgenievich Orlov did not take part in raising his son and did not help his family. Nevertheless, Boris continued to consider him a father and even discussed his personal life with him and his unsuccessful attempts to start a family.

One of Boris’s vivid memories from childhood is how he looked for his father in every man in the theater, asking: “Are you my dad?”

Boris Korchevnikov’s mother, Irina Leonidovna Korchevnikova, says that when her son asked where his dad was, she answered the guy that he left because Boris behaved badly. In the program “While Everyone is Home,” Timur Kizyakov noted that this approach to the child was somewhat inhumane on the part of the mother.

Photo of Boris Korchevnikov before and after plastic surgery

The photo of Boris Korchevnikov before and after plastic surgery is nothing more than a skillful montage. Boris is a parishioner of the Orthodox Church, therefore he professes the dogma that the body was given to man by God, and only he has the right to decide what to do with it next.

In the “Live Broadcast” program, the issue of plastic surgery, including unsuccessful ones, was often raised. Korchevnikov claimed that he had an extremely negative attitude towards plastic surgery, including cosmetic surgery, which is done for fun. The only plastic surgeries that the TV presenter accepts are those that remove injuries associated with accidents or military operations.

The guy believes that in order to look your best, you should not spend money on plastic surgery, but play sports and just take care of yourself.

Along with the new host, the format of the program also changed, which is why the show's ratings have increased noticeably. Often there were conflicts in the studio even worse than on the “Window” program with Dmitry Nagiyev. In 2017, rumors appeared that Boris had left the project. In the spring of 2017, he was appointed head of the Orthodox channel “Spas”. In the fall of the same year, it became known that the host of the “Live Broadcast” show would be replaced by Andrei Malakhov.
