Galina and Alexey lived together for 30 years.
It is known that Tatyana Samoilova was a close friend of Galina Petrovna. The TV presenter’s father was a doctor in one of the capital’s hospitals. He left the family when our hero was still little. The man did not communicate with his son for a long time. Only in his youth did Kozhukhov find his father and talk to him. Since then they began to meet occasionally.

Mikhail developed sympathy for people who had to defend the interests of the state at the cost of their own lives.

There were some troubles, although Mikhail Kozhukhov does not consider himself a collector of misfortunes. In Latvia, the reporter decided to repeat the parkour element, during which he was injured. And in Ethiopia he fell ill with erysipelas in his leg, due to which he spent several days on an IV.
The viral disease also brought down a TV journalist in Peru, where he had to broadcast with a high temperature. And seasickness overtook Mikhail Kozhukhov in the Kara Sea while traveling along the Northern Route.
At one time there were even rumors about the death of the traveler, but soon fans of the TV journalist were able to verify that he was alive and well. Mikhail Kozhukhov in Scotland
The essence of the trips is that one of the celebrities travels with the tourists. Travel lovers make travel orders both at the agency’s office and through the official website. Each tourist can leave his wishes for the place where he wants to go, and which star he would like to spend his vacation with. It also offers an overview of colorful photos with views of the nature of the places that are offered for visiting.
The direction that Mikhail Yuryevich’s travel agency deals with is called ethnodiving. This term means getting to know the culture and traditions of the region from the inside.
In addition to tours in the East and South America, the journalist has recently opened another ethno-route. The company's team offers an exciting visit to Derbent, the most ancient city in Russia, which is located in Dagestan. According to an experienced traveler, the North Caucasus, with its many nationalities inhabiting it, can compete with the Black Sea coast and even southern countries.
In an interview in the program “Not Posner Yet,” Kozhukhov noted why he fell in love with the land of Dagestan. In addition to the hospitality of the region’s residents, he is attracted by the opportunity to feel the spirit of the nation in works of folk craft.
Unlike representatives of other nationalities of the North Caucasus, Dagestanis are distinguished by their love for various crafts, including forging weapons, sewing, and leatherwork. Many houses house family museums where you can find household items from the 17th and 18th centuries.
The hospitality of the mountain people, culinary traditions, sandy beaches of the warm Caspian Sea, mountain routes are advantages that have not yet been truly appreciated by Russian tourists. During his trips to the Caucasus, Mikhail Kozhukhov visited a wine festival in Georgia and a wedding celebration in Armenia. Such tours are widely covered by the businessman on his personal page on Instagram.

TV presenter Mikhail Kozhukhov
– Mikhail, please tell us about your new film, on which you have been working, it seems, for a whole year.
– “Neva and Nadezhda” is a 4-episode saga about the first Russian circumnavigation of the world.
And although I am quite calm about history, this one also caught my attention because it is comparable in significance to Gagarin’s flight: before Kruzenshtern, Russian ships sailed only along the coastline. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, the power of an empire was measured by its naval capabilities. Even today, sailors have such a term as “flag display”: when a Russian flag appears in a distant port or ocean, this is an important sign in our world of conventions. Kruzenshtern, while still serving in the English fleet, conceived this expedition, which was necessary for Russia, and for three years wrote letters over the heads of all the commanders to the very top, persuading them to sanction and finance it. – This was at the beginning of the nineteenth century, during the era of Alexander the First?
– Yes, in 1803–1806.
Ivan Kruzenshtern wrote to the tsar, the minister, and the naval board, and he did not do this because he was looking for glory: before him, about twenty captains circumnavigated the globe. It was important for him to convince the authorities of the need to develop maritime trade. Today it is clear that where it is, but then they didn’t know anything about the East, they didn’t know whether it was an island or a peninsula - Sakhalin. James Cook visited there, left rough maps, and that’s it. The world's oceans were space for humanity, which is why I compared the great navigation of Russian sailors with Gagarin's flight. I had a patriotic message: I wanted to remind everyone of the names that can be the pillar of our national pride. Despite the fact that almost all the leaders of the expedition bear German surnames, they were still Russian. The Courland barons who lived on the territory of our country had the right to choose the nationality and flag they wanted to serve, and they chose Russia. I really wanted to talk about Russian adventures in the spirit of Jules Verne and great human dramas. – What documentary sources did you follow?
– The diaries kept by almost all members of the expedition have been preserved.
There was no need to invent anything - everything was described in the smallest detail. The sailors had several tasks. The first is to finally get to Alaska by water, because the land route (it’s impossible to believe now) from St. Petersburg to Alaska and back took five years! Then - find out the fate of Baranov, the ruler of Russian Alaska. There was no news from him for a long time, and there was an Indian uprising. And thirdly, the diplomatic mission of Nikolai Rezanov to Japan, which was then a completely unknown state. – So many discoveries...
– In our film, the word “for the first time” has to be said at every step.
Ivan Kruzenshtern began researching the ocean, and oceanography began with him. Rezanov wrote the first Russian-Japanese dictionary, since there were Japanese prisoners on the ship who were being returned to their homeland... - Did you repeat the entire route of the travelers?
– No, but I came to where significant events took place.
– Did you fly there or sail there?
“I flew there and sailed there.
There are places where cannibals lived during Kruzenshtern’s time; getting there is still incredibly difficult. Even today it takes five days to sail to the island of St. Helena... The project turned out to be grandiose: we built fragments of those same ships at the Gorky film studio, actors read excerpts from the diaries of expedition members, documentary drawings of travelers were turned into complex computer graphics. In terms of scale, we have never filmed anything like this. A corporation like the BBC can do this, not a small television station. – What genre are you most interested in working in?
– Probably, what I do best is reportage in its different versions – newspaper and television.
– In the nineties, you stood at the origins of new television together with.
Then the whole country watched it, but now normal people practically don’t turn on the TV... - ... unfortunately, for TV.
More and more people are removing this item from their apartment furnishings, young people are turning to the Internet. At the same time, television is trying to show the story of twenty-year-old people to a much matured audience due to the fact that it is tied to advertising aimed at young people. If the majority of the viewing audience consists of, relatively speaking, mature women, then they are unlikely to be interested in the experiences of a teenager or student. – Advertisers focus on ratings.
I wonder how and by whom he is considered? – It is believed by one company that installed “people meters” in the houses of some people in some cities.
These people are hidden behind a veil of “trade secrets”. – You have made many interesting documentaries.
Where can you see them? – We have a dozen and a half television projects.
My main pride is the film “Time “H” for Country “A” - about the entry of Soviet troops into Afghanistan. There, for the first time in many years, Amin's palace, from which these events began, is shown. No one has yet managed to break into the palace, located on the territory of a NATO base, with a television camera. For the first time, the film shows a secret facility in Balashikha, where, since 1938, sabotage groups were preparing to be deployed behind enemy lines and from where the legendary reconnaissance officer Kuznetsov flew, where “Alpha” and “Vympel” were born. There is the birthplace of the pride of special forces. I'm probably the only one who managed to get in there with a camera. - How?
- I will not say.
The film went almost unnoticed two years ago on Channel Five in St. Petersburg, but those viewers who are interested can watch it on YouTube. I still refuse to make films about trainers who are bitten by tigers, and other bullshit about flying saucers and little green men, although they are in demand. – You have a series of films about Moscow.
What was the purpose of filming? “There was an attempt to look at a huge metropolis as a system and understand where everything comes from and where it goes.
I myself did not know much of what we discovered during filming. – You investigated the problem of waste disposal and made very specific conclusions.
Was there any practical benefit from your “reality”? - No.
There could have been some benefit if such a study had been carried out in the seventies of the last century, when the status of the journalistic profession was completely different. The film, for example, mentions a law passed in Germany obliging road builders to purchase slag from waste incineration plants. Why not pass such a law here and oblige the administration of large cities to build such factories? A simple story, but, unfortunately, no one is interested in it. What is the use of our information that there are only two waste paper recycling plants left in the western part of the country, and both are booked five years in advance? It’s easier to cut down hectares of forest and sell it to the Chinese than to think about the future. – It’s getting downright scary...
– Scary. And so I wanted to show something else - people who, in spite of everything, like Atlanteans, hold our huge city on their shoulders. I am not a fan of the Soviet government and the Soviet Union, but we must bow deeply to the people who provided Moscow with water with a colossal safety margin.
