Circumstances of death
The Fast and the Furious star died in a car accident on November 30, 2013. Together with a friend, they took part in a charity event to help those affected by Typhoon Haiyan. The car skidded and crashed into a light tower.
The car of a friend who was driving skidded for several meters, after which it flew into a tree, bounced off it, and demolished a lamppost. The Porsche Carrera GT, owned by racing driver Roger Rodas, burst into flames along with people.
The fire did not occur immediately after the impact, but 1.5-2 minutes later. The bodies of the young people were so charred that there were problems with identification. However, the examination proved that Rodas died during the collision, and Paul died later. According to the contents of the protocol, “from multiple combinations of injuries and burns,” which means he burned alive.
After the impact, the fire engulfed the car, but 2 minutes before that, theoretically, it could have been saved. Moreover, eyewitnesses with mobile phones began to gather around. Among them was Roger's 8-year-old son, who miraculously escaped the car. He tried to pull out his father’s body, but did not have time - the Porsche burst into flames.
