Youth
Not much is known about the biography of Dmitry Kozhoma. He was born on February 18, 1981 in Moscow. As of 2020, he is 37 years old. As a child, he did not stand out among his peers with any talents, and was not particularly interested in anything. He grew up as an ordinary child in an ordinary family. The stage never attracted Dmitry Kozhoma, and even if he appeared in school productions, no one could have thought that ten years later he would appear on thousands of television screens, broadcast on the country’s main television channel. When in the company of close friends or relatives, Dmitry opened up and showed himself as a very cheerful and open guy. He began to show his family small parodies of celebrities, joked and received great pleasure from being in the spotlight.
After school, Dmitry entered the Moscow City Pedagogical University. This decision was somewhat rash, but it played a significant role in the future fate of the young man, because at one of the student parties he met Ivan Pyshnenko and Alexei Nikiforenko, with whom they later created the KVN team. Dima, your emotions after the game? And how do you assess the level of the league? - Seriously great, seriously good! Indeed because I have something to compare with, because I often travel to different leagues. As soon as I saw the beginning, I immediately realized that everything here is not so simple, i.e. interesting start, cool music, it’s very cool when professionals do this. God grant that everything continues like this, that the league also has an official AMiK status, that would be great. Moreover, the city is located not far from Moscow, and it would be convenient for many teams to come here. Moreover, everything here is mature: a large stage, a good hall, and technical support. No matter what you say, KVN is a game in which all such moments must be taken into account, this is a show, so it must be interesting, cool, funny, and the music must be good. — How do you assess the level of Yaroslavl teams? Level of humor? — Good teams, serious humor. Of course, it’s hard for girls. But in general, it’s hard for women in KVN, because you can’t look at them the same way as men, you look at a woman differently: first you look, then you listen to a joke, and also, if they start to move... Of course, KVN and women are not very good. There are really few women's teams that have succeeded, because it is difficult, not because women are bad... You just don’t perceive them, they cannot do everything that a man can do, whatever one may say, women cannot show a drug addict, they lighter creatures, he cannot show things that will be funny to the audience. — Is it easier to evaluate humor while sitting on a jury, or to play it yourself? - It seems to me that it is equally difficult. Of course, I like playing more than sitting on a jury, otherwise if you do something wrong, they’ll curse you, and in Odnoklassniki they’ll give you a bad mark for photography. — Why do you think there is more alternative humor now, and the classics are taking second place? “Everything develops and everything cannot stand still. Then the time will come when it will be just old school. The same thing gets boring, you always want things to happen differently. Although I can’t say that there was anything unusual today, today everything was within the framework. The most important thing is to be on stage who you are in life, then you will look natural and be liked. — You played in different leagues, different cities. How is the audience’s perception different? — In each room you have to joke differently, it’s clear that everyone has their own themes, their own interests. For some reason they love us in Kyiv, we somehow hooked them, and we really like it there. In other cities it’s somehow different, the people are different, not like in Moscow. In Moscow, everyone is so angry, they are in a hurry, pushing, war is constantly happening. People there are more spoiled, because in Moscow there are a lot of teams, and everyone is trying to get somewhere, but now everyone wants to joke, now, in my opinion, the lazy one doesn’t joke. In other cities, life is measured, someone has time to look at someone and communicate. — What did KVN give you? “Thanks to KVN, I’ve been to such places and seen such beautiful things. It’s still great that we play KVN! When else would I end up here?.. I can’t sit at home, I’m not the kind of person who can do the same thing for a long time, I get tired very quickly, I need to move. There are many different movements in KVN: new acquaintances and hobbies. — Plans related to KVN? Personal plans? — I don’t want to make any guesses, you never really think about it, everything happens by itself.
Participation in KVN
Teaming up with Ivan and Alexey, Dmitry Kozhoma went to the rector to ask him for permission to create a university team. Having received a positive response, the guys immediately began developing the concept of their team and writing jokes. The crowd liked the team's humor, and very soon they became the winners of the Ukrainian Higher League and took second place in the Voronezh League and the Minsk Euroleague. in 2006, “Sports Station” won the Premier League, and in 2010, took home the “Voting Kivin” from the Jurmala Presidential Festival. In 2011, after a somewhat disastrous last season, the team began the games with renewed vigor. They won the Azov KVN League and again broke into the Major League, reaching the finals. Unfortunately, at this point the participants of the “Sports Station” decided to end their presence in the Club of the Cheerful and Resourceful. After KVN, the team traveled for some time to the cities of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus with a humorous program.

After successful participation in KVN, Dmitry began to be recognized on the streets. He decided not to lose his popularity and went to conquer the TNT TV channel “Comedy Club” program, where many of his former colleagues from the “club” gathered. In 2014, he teamed up with Ivan Pyshnenko, with whom he once began his journey in humor, and created a creative duet. Ivan and Dmitry still delight viewers with their funny skits and parodies and do not yet plan to leave the Comedy Club.
Other projects
Dmitry decided not to stop only at participating in the Comedy Club; for his sparkling humor, he was invited to the program “Laughter in the Big City,” which aired on the STS channel, and to the project “Don’t move your bags” on the Muz-TV channel. In 2013, Kozhoma returned to the channel, which gave him all-Russian popularity. A new project “Vyshka” was released on Channel One, in which Dmitry became a participant. He fought for victory as part of the Dolphins team, but never reached the final. In 2020, STS aired the intellectual program “The Big Question,” in which Dmitry spent three seasons trying to answer questions correctly or funny, receiving points for it. Also this year, together with Dmitry Nagiyev, he became the host of the “Big Kitchen” project, where celebrities come to share events that have happened in their lives, as well as talk about their immediate plans. In 2020, Dmitry’s first filming took place in the full-length film “What Men Do - 2.”

In 2001, during one of the student parties, Dmitry Kozhoma met his future teammates - Ivan Pyshnenko and Alexey Nikiforenko. Together they decided to create a KVN team and very soon came with a similar proposal to the rector. Having received the go-ahead from high authorities, the three guys set about implementing their plans. In 2002, the KVN team made its debut in the minor league and very soon began collecting prestigious trophies one after another. Thus, the list of awards of the “Sportivnaya Station” team included silver medals of the Voronezh League, the Minsk KVN Euroleague, as well as the main awards of the Higher Ukrainian League. “Sportivnaya Station” - Kozhoma - home alone. It is very noteworthy that for some time Dmitry Kozhoma also performed with other comedy groups – KVN teams “MFYuA Team” and “Guys from Our Backyard” (Mytishchi). Together with “Sportivnaya Station”, our today’s hero became the winner of the Moscow Premier League (2006), as well as the owner of the special presidential Jurmala festival “Voting KiViN” (2010).
