Cam Joslyn Gigandet was born on August 16, 1982 in the city of Tacoma, located in Washington state, USA. His father was a co-owner and manager of a small chain of restaurants, and his mother was a housewife at that time. Cam has an older sister named Kelsey. She works as a stylist. A few years after Cam was born, his family moved to the town of Auburn, where he spent his childhood. Having received his high school diploma in 2001, young Gigandet moved to California, where he entered Santa Monica Community College and began studying acting.

Cam Gigandet, whose filmography so far consisted mostly of minor roles, returned to the screens in 2007, starring in a sports comedy called “Who's Your Caddy?” In the same year, he was offered to participate in work on another film. It was the drama “Never Back Down,” and the actor’s partners on the set were Amber Heard and Sean Faris. For this work, Cam won an MTV Film Award in the “Best Fight” category.

“I took Krav Maga classes for about a year and studied, I don’t think that counts. I learned basic wrestling skills when I was still a child.
