BIOGRAPHY
Kirill Zaporozhsky is a representative of a family of artists.
His father is actor Viktor Zaporozhsky (“Children of Arbat”, “Efrosyne”, “Gromovs”), his mother is actress and teacher at a theater university Natalia Makarova. The younger brother Makar is also well known to viewers - he played hockey goalkeeper Dima Shchukin in the TV series “Molodezhka”. Kirill himself, although he grew up in a creative environment, did not dream of the stage. At first I thought of following in my grandfather’s footsteps and becoming a pilot, but things didn’t work out with the exact sciences. Machinist, architect, artist – there were many options. It was possible to concentrate on a career as a musician, the boy’s abilities allowed. But his hobbies changed all the time, and Kirill dropped out of music school three times.
As a result, all roads led to the theater, no matter where you turned. In 2006, Kirill Zaporozhsky graduated from the VTU named after Shchepkin (course of N.N. Afonin).
Childhood in a creative family
The future actor was born in 1985 in Moscow. His parents are directly related to the creative world: his father, Viktor Zaporozhsky, plays on the stage of the Mayakovsky Theater, and his mother, Natalia Makarova, is a teacher of stage speech at the Shchepkin Theater School.

Four years later, the family was replenished with another member - his brother Makar, who, like Kirill, chose the acting path. In the heady 90s, parents earned a living as best they could. There were few roles in the theater, so his father was renovating apartments. The Zaporozhian brothers often visited their father at work, becoming acquainted with the behind-the-scenes life from their childhood.

All the men on his father’s side were pilots; it is not surprising that the boy dreamed not of the theater stage, but of flying into the sky. But studying at school was difficult for him, so after graduating from school, Kirill had to enter a theater university. In addition to mastering acting skills, the 17-year-old boy became interested in a musical career, organizing the FPS group with friends. At first, the band members performed cover versions of Nirvana in clubs, and then began recording their compositions. Over the seven years of their existence, they recorded several albums and also performed as the opening act for some bands, earning an MTV channel award in the “Discovery of the Year” category.
MOVIE
The actor made his debut in the TV series “Full Moon” in 2005, but for the first few years he played mostly episodic roles. The most notable works of that time were Vasily Shibanov in the historical television film “Ivan the Terrible”, Kostik in the series “Russian Chocolate” and Andrei Mikhailov in the series “Dusty Work”.
In 2011, Kirill Zaporozhsky played the main role in the drama “Frantic, furious, furious...” about the joint struggle of the USSR and the USA against the Nazis during World War II.
The series “Angel or Demon” brought wide fame to the young actor. Zaporozhsky played the fallen angel Dan, who was ordered to seduce a girl with a crystal clear soul - Masha. Of course, feelings flare up between them, and it becomes increasingly difficult for each to fulfill their destiny. Viewers watched the struggle and love between light and dark forces for 40 episodes.
Then there were major roles in the projects “Shores”, “Second Chance”, “Melody for Two Voices”, “View from Eternity”, “House with Lilies”, “Casanova’s Favorite Women” and others.
The actor also made his mark in the famous TV series “While the Village Sleeps” - he played a relative of Kolevanov. And in 2020 he will appear in one of the episodes of “Dr. Richter” (an adaptation of the cult American series “House M.D.”).
Some of Kirill’s latest works are in the melodramas “Hunting the Faithful”, “The Impossible Ice”, “On the Threshold of Love” and “Forbidden Love”.
Childhood and family of Kirill Zaporozhye
On April 29, 1985, the first-born Kirill was born into the family of the famous actor Viktor Nikolaevich Zaporozhsky and artist Natalia Alekseevna Makarova.
The boy grew up active and inquisitive. As a child, he dreamed of many professions: now he wanted to become a machinist, now a pilot, now an artist, now an architect. Perhaps later these childhood aspirations to try himself in different fields of activity brought Kirill to the stage and screen. While studying at Moscow secondary school No. 1241, a boy from a decent family also attends a music school. Later, together with his younger brother Makar, he plays children's roles in the theater and often goes on tour with his father and brother.
As children, the brothers often played pranks, and their parents punished them severely. My father was especially strict; sometimes he had to wear a belt to intimidate his boys. But then he felt sorry for his sons and gave them gifts, trying to establish normal relations.

When Kirill graduated from school, his mother Natalia Alekseevna was already working as an assistant professor in the department of stage speech at the Higher Theater School named after M. S. Shchepkin. Therefore, at the family council, it was decided not to lose sight of the eldest son and send him to study where he would be under the watchful supervision of parents. At the university, N.N. Afonin becomes Kirill’s artistic director, and in 2006 the young actor graduated from the Shchepkin Theater School, studying vocals with Galina Filatova.
MUSIC
From 2002 to 2009, Kirill Zaporozhsky was the vocalist of the group FPS (Frames per second). At first, the guys were just going to play their favorite Nirvana songs, but in the end they began not only performing cover versions in clubs, but also recording their own music in the style of new metal.
FPS released several albums, arranged the soundtrack for the “The Last Hero” program, and performed as an opening act for Rasmus and HIM. In 2005, the group received an MTV channel award in the “Discovery of the Year” category.
“I thought and still believe that this was a very successful project, and this is a great merit of Kirill, who not only wrote cool lyrics, but also performed them no less cool as the lead singer of the group. I often went to their rehearsals and concerts and was terribly proud of my brother!” – says Makar Zaporozhsky, who has become one of the most devoted FPS fans.
The group eventually broke up, but its members continue to be creative.
The work of Kirill Zaporozhsky: music and acting
In 2002, thanks to his excellent baritone, Kirill Zaporozhsky became the vocalist of the new metal band “FPS”.
The group's team enjoyed great success with the public both at large events and in small clubs, and in 2005 the FPS group was awarded an award in the MTV Discovery category. The rockers, beloved by the youth audience, often warmed up the audience with their vocal performances during the performances of the popular group HIM. Most of FPS's songs are in English, since the group's repertoire is aimed mainly at Western listeners. Kirill explains this focus of the group’s repertoire by the ability of Russian show business to crush any creative work.
Perhaps that’s why Kirill performed with the group for the last time in 2009. However, the young singer does not leave the stage and takes part in the production of the musical “An Ordinary Miracle,” in which he again captivates the viewer with his extraordinary baritone and artistry.
Kirill Zaporozhsky is known not only as a singer, but also as an actor. For the first time, viewers saw him in the small mystical series “Full Moon,” in which Kirill starred while still a student. It should be noted that the aspiring actor played in “Full Moon” with the famous Igor Bochkin, Maria Poroshina and Vladimir Epifantsev.

But he does not reveal the details of his personal life: “I’m generally a superstitious person and I’m afraid that I’ll suddenly say one thing now, and when the decisive moment comes, everything will turn out completely differently.”
The ideal companion, according to the actor, should be able to support her man in any situation, be feminine and cook well.
By the way, Kirill Zaporozhsky is a good cook himself; this is one of his many hobbies. In his free time, he does aircraft modeling, draws or photographs, and recently renovated his apartment himself.

Kirill Zaporozhsky now
Currently Kirill is working on Vladimir Yankovsky’s melodrama “Love and a Little Ice Cream.” The main character of the film marries not for love, but out of revenge. Fate has prepared many trials for the girl, including the temptation to leave her family for her former lover. But she found support and understanding from the person who had been there all this time. Only when her husband runs out of patience does the heroine realize that she already has the man of her dreams.
In November 2018, filming of another historical film with Zaporozhsky’s participation, “Ilyinsky Frontier,” was completed. The project is dedicated to the defense of Moscow by young cadets of military schools in 1941. Producer Igor Ugolnikov began filming after the Russian Ministry of Defense removed the classification of documents about that operation.
On the lists next to the names of the fighters there were notes “missing in action,” and the director set out to talk about real people in order to return to descendants the memory of the defenders. Events related to the screening of the film became part of the plan to celebrate the anniversary of the Victory in 2020, approved by the Russian government.
The melodrama “Good Day” was directed by Sergei Shvydkoy, the son of former Minister of Culture Mikhail Shvydkoy. Moral of the picture: thinking that life consists only of black stripes is wrong. No one can predict what will happen in an hour or two. Kirill Zaporozhsky presented on the screen such a desperate person - a writer whose books are not selling well. And he couldn’t think of anything better than to commit suicide so that the resulting excitement would increase the demand for his works. But providence has other plans for the man.
