Biography
Ali Ersan Duru was born in September 1984 in Ankara into a very wealthy family: his father succeeded in the tourism business, and his mother, belonging to a famous Turkish family, devoted herself to the home. Ali, one of the five sons of the Duru couple, grew up a beloved and spoiled young man. According to media reports, Ali studied well, but his discipline was lame - this fact prevented the future artist, as he dreamed of as a child, from entering the cadet corps and becoming a pilot.
Ersan Duru became interested in theater during his school years, taking part in amateur performances. But his parents insisted on a serious profession: this is how Ali ended up at a financial institute in the city of Eskisehir. And he, like his brothers, would have become a banker, but he showed his character in time - he fled to Istanbul to take up acting.

Ali has three tattoos. On his hand is written his name in Old Turkish. On the back is the surname. There is a third tattoo in the form of symbols meaning love, money and peace.

In 2010, Ali made his debut in the series “Time for Tulips”, starring in two episodes. The following year he gets the role of Emre in the comedy series “Thanks to Love”. “It’s really difficult to act in historical projects, especially if we are talking about real events, you have to adhere to certain boundaries. This is felt especially clearly when it is necessary, as I do now, to play a real historical character.”

. What have you discovered and continue to discover in her as an actress, as a person?
We met Alexandra quite a long time ago, during the filming of test scenes. Then they started working together. First, I got to know her as a person to learn about the different sides of my future partner. We reached mutual understanding on a mental level. After this, it was not difficult to establish a good connection between Anna and Mahmoud.
You played modern heroes and were involved in historical projects. What era character would you like to play again, perhaps in the now popular comic book movie genre?
It’s really difficult to play in historical projects, especially if we are talking about real events, you have to adhere to certain boundaries. This is felt especially clearly when it is necessary, as I do now, to play a real historical character. I think I would like to play a fantasy hero in a fantasy film - that would be very interesting
. When it comes to comics, I can't say I'm very passionate about them. But I’m interested in various science fiction projects, so if they offered me the role of a comic book hero, I think I would agree.
Do you have a dream role?
Not really. I believe that I can play with great pleasure and dedication any role that inspires me and that I believe in. Because I'm in love with my job.
Your website says that you enjoy many sports and are very fond of singing. What about football? Who are you rooting for? Will you come to Russia for the World Cup?

Do you sing professionally or more for yourself?
I really love to sing. But I never thought of doing it professionally. The acting profession is the most important thing for me.
How else do you like to relax and spend your free time?
I have some free time. As soon as it appears, I try not to miss sports. In general, I am very homely. I love meeting friends and spending time away from glamorous entertainment.
What does acting mean to you?
It seems to me that a professional actor is someone who always does his job as well as possible, is perfectly aware of what he is doing, but never loses the joyful excitement of a beginner.
